Self indulgent parent thread

This thread was a good idea! I am lovin' it!

My son's first word was "computer" when he was about 6 months old. I kid you not. He was babbling and out came computer, clear as day. My wife heard it too.

On the weekend we did a tie dye project.

It's the tied-eye of Mordor. He is making fangs with his teeth. He doesn't really have big cheeks.
He's been on a LOTR kick recently seeing all three of them (new Blueray set FTW!) and he is looking forward to adding the new Lego sets to his huge collection.

Great idea for a thread! My baby girl was born March 18th at 9:17, 2012 and I already feel like posting a bunch of photo's.

She is adorable!
Congrats on the new pet human!

I don't have any real recent pictures of just our kids so here is the Mrs. and I along with our four boys from this past Christmas:

Clockwise from next to me:

17-year old, junior at the Indiana Academy
20-year old, junior at Ball State University
15-year old, high school freshman
8-year old, 2nd grader.

They keep up hopping, but it's all good.

Nice crew you have there! Christmas and the Godfather huh?

Are you wearing L.L.Bean slippers?

lol, of course!

Nope, not L.L. Bean. They were a Christmas present from a couple of years ago though.

I like your shirt.

Edit: Had typo. Almost corrected with comma. "I like you shirt."

Tummy time...

It is reassuring to have photographic proof that so many video game geeks are able to find mates and procreate successfully.

Considering the number of super cute kids, you might also assume that the mates we have found are pretty darn good looking!

Great thread, I'm loving all the pics!

Here are a couple of pics of the boy from this weekend. One showing off his new teeth, another making a silly face. He's so close to crawling, but just can't quite figure it out. The suspense about kills me every time he almost does it, only to land on his tummy and immediately roll over onto his back.

Handsome little tyke, Sheazy =)

Time to clean the floors...

Or risk it being eaten!

My daughter just turned 7 months old. We took her out to a local flower field to get some pictures the other weekend. Here's one of my favorites from that session.

She looks skeptical.

We got him to go across the floor 4 times before he just laid down on his belly and patted the floor like that would move him forward, then he yelled at the little toy in exhaustion.
He has been close for a few days but I think his pants were making it harder. Yesterday he had no pants and he could do it.

This is what happens when I fail to have a nap at the same time as my wife and daughter Teagan. Mustaches for all!

Bonnonon, I'm really glad to find that I'm not the only one who does stuff like that!

mudbunny, your pic defines the difference between cats and dogs. My cats just sit under the high chair, waiting for the inevitable droppage or ragequit bowl sweep.

Don't get me wrong, he would do that as well. Just at this meal, the chair was there for him to get more direct access.

My favourite pic of my baby girl:

And in the rain at 2 years old:

I picked up the soundtrack to the new Muppets movie and I played it in the car was we were driving last night. When "The Rainbow Connection" came on, all three (4, 7, and 9) began signing along. Later, we found out that our four year old daughter sang a lyric incorrectly: "the mothers the dreamers and me." So cute.

I love it when they do that. I used to have a recording of my gang singing "Jungle Bells" and "hark the hairy angels sing, glowy is the newborn king".

The time tested and classic "attack food with face" method

It is good to know that I am not the only one who does stuff like that!
