Things you should know by now, but only just discovered

Getting pretty P&C in here. Can we wrap this one up, please, and find some new discussion?

For example....

I just learned about Apple Pay a couple days ago. It seems to work well so far. I guess I could actually go without a wallet nowadays other than needing to put my driver’s license into my phone case. Anyone going walletless?

Samsung phones can pay on regular credit card machines, which has me very close to going walletless... Still need somewhere to keep my id and Costco card though and I don't like the card carrying phone cases.

It's always a good idea to keep cash/cards and ID seperate from your phone, for the simple reason that phones can run out of power, get lost or damaged, and so forth. It's hard to run a credit card out of power, or have your cash neutralized after it gets wet. Always nice to have a backup.

This Ryan Reynolds guy doesn’t just bear a striking resemblance to one of the actors from a twenty-year-old sitcom that I vaguely remember: he’s the same guy.

Two Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place?

(Also starred Nathan Fillion)

I knew from that show that he was destined for great things. I never guessed those things would include Pikachu, however.

Yeah, that’s the one. I don’t really keep up with pop culture and had heard the name but I don’t think I’d ever seen his face associated with it. Saw a couple minutes of Deadpool on TV the other day and thought “he sure looks like what’s his name.”

Now go through half the movies from the last 10-15 years and see how many MCU or other comic characters are in it.
Example: He's just not that into you from 2009. It has Rocket, Black Widow, and Vicki at least.

That assumes I’ve seen any of those movies

Wow, Deadpool on TV -- that must have been one short movie, after the censorship edits. Kind of like:

Hadn't seen that clip. Thanks.

I watched Reservoir Dogs on commercial TV. I don’t understand how it made it to air. The edits made it nearly unwatchable. They had to know long before they finished it wasn’t going to work.

My S8+ is too big for me to use one handed. I just found out there's an option to use "One-handed mode" which shrinks the screen so everything is reachable while I hold the phone in one hand.
Mind. Blown.

Seems like a required feature for phones that large.
