If it takes you 2 days of troubleshooting to get into an xbox party chat, maybe it's time to give up the wifi and buy cable instead.
$16 and 75 feet of cat5e later, problem solved. Thanks monoprice.com
Thanks monoprice.com
Other things to note about monoprice.com, they have good and inexpensive wall mounts for TVs and monitors. I saved $$ using them over any other place I looked.
Also - I keep finding out that people don't know that middle-clicking a link will open it in a new tab (for most browsers).
Awesome!!!!!

This still astounds me. Tabbed browsing + that one little function was what originally drove me to switch away from IE to Firefox, waaaaaay back when that was still a new thing to do.

Same. (Edit: I also started throwing away spare mice that didn't have a middle button. Why would anyone cripple themselves like that?)

middle-click trick #2: Middle-clicking a tab will close it.
middle-click trick #3: Middle-clicking a Windows 7 taskbar icon will launch a new instance of the application instead of switching to the open one.

Middle Click magic!!!
My mouse at work doesn't have a middle mouse button, so I'm keenly aware of all the things I can't do.
It... Doesn't have a scroll wheel? Is it 15 years old?
I have a laptop mouse that has a wheel but not a middle-click. Pushing the wheel toggles from smooth scroll to click scroll and back. It has left/right scroll by leaning the wheel though. I remapped them both to middle-click.
Then I replaced it with something sane.

No buttons at all. It's one of these.
The window management gestures make up for the lack of middle-click.

Many of these things can be done with Key + Click.
New tab = Ctrl+Clock.
Windows 7 taskbar new instance = Shift + Click.
New tab = Ctrl+Clock.
I don't think you can control Clocky.

Yup. And it annoys me that I have to use a mouse click + key when I used to be able to use a mouse click.
It just occurred to me that the title of the song Californication is probably a play on the word fornication

*spit take*
I remember when I was maybe 22 looking at the Chevron gas station sign and realizing that the logo is a chevron. I felt so stupid if it makes you feel any better.

"probably"?
Next you'll be suggesting that some of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers other songs are also about fornication!
Did anybody else see this instead of an eagle? Or was that just me? I was 12 before I figured it out.
Xbox downloads go about 5x faster when you're in the dashboard instead of in-game.
I don't get the USPS one.

I presume they're suggesting there's a very angular face in the logo (which they've drawn onto the eagle). I don't think the face was ntended, unlike Amazon's A-to-Z smile.

Correct! I'm not saying it's intended at all. It's the opposite. I'm saying I should have realized it was an eagle sooner than I did. ALL I saw was the face.
That's a grocery store we have here. I never noticed the P for Provigo in the logo until my mid-twenties
I think I saw a chick. Now I see a ribbon too
DAMN.

I see a chicken with an endotracheal tube that has gone horribly wrong.
I assume I don't need to explain the FedEx logo to anyone?

I was thinking the same thing.

Guy Fawks watching Willie Mays catch a fast ball while an armored assault vehicle rolls past?
Do people know of the Toblerone bear in the logo?
