(Greeks order ice cream in number of balls, as in, "Could I get two balls of chocolate with sprinkles on top?")The only Americans likely to do that are classics majors, but I doubt the ice cream in the Hellenistic world was very good anyway.

Just googled “Sanata" and it was disappointing except this:
Agreed, although in fairness there was also a return for the ladies in my results as well:
"Luck out" apparently means the opposite in the UK and the US. So in Australia where there's a mix of influences from both, I will never know which one people mean ¯(°_o)/¯
The only way an Englishmen would use that would be in the context of 'his/her/it's luck is out', and even then not very often. An Englishman would usually say 'his/her/it's luck ran out' or was 'out of luck'.
Oops, McIrishuasered !
Oops, McIrishuasered !
By a whole two days!
So I'm a filthy skimmer. I did acknowledge my mistake though

That's because you only type one Ho in your search criteria. You need to add 2 more Ho's

Agreed. I typed 2 more ho's in and got this.
The misunderstanding is deliberate?
Gelato is NOT a good substitute for ice cream when used in rootbeer floats :(.
Romana is married to Richard Dawkins.
I had no idea.

Every time I remember this I think it is the greatest fact ever.

Amen!
You've been eating the wrong gelato then. Of coarse frozen custard trumps them both.

I prefer smooth frozen custard.

And hot custard over a bit of jam tart or apple pie beats all of it.
Coldstream wins the thread!
Fish fingers and custard.
Fish fingers and custard.
That just sounds wrong. I'm going with Coldstream.

Bacon dipped in custard.
No, seriously.

Thanks, my mind immediately started speculating on what that could be. Let's just say that I clubbed myself into unconsciousness immediately after it came up with a really bad yeast infection representing the custard, and thankfully no further speculation has occurred. (sweet, clever brain...don't make me hurt you again)

I am embarrassed to admit, since I am a shortcut kind of guy, that I just learned (on this site, no less) that middle-mouse-click on a link opens said link in a new tab. I had always done the right-click > choose from menu method.
D'oh!

Also Ctrl/Command+Left-Click will do the same thing, except on sites that have disabled it via sh*tty javascript.

I hate it when they disable it... It just means fewer page views because I won't click through... I am a multi-tabber and love it that way.

Oh wow... you learn something new all the time. This is awesome!

I picked my work laptop specifically because it came with a physical middle mouse button. I feel anger whenever I don't have that option at my fingertips.
EDIT: Don't even get me started on laptops that don't offer any physical buttons and instead rely on touch-pad shenanigans.

Not to get you started....
I love love love my work Lenovo Thinkpad because it has the "nub" controller. I pretty much can't stand trackpads, and agree 100% on trackpads without mouse buttons.

Please refer to the act of using that nub as nubbin lovin'.
Thanks very much.

Also, it doesn't work great on laptops without a mouse, but I highly recommend Snap Links Plus. I just hold down the right mouse button (or whatever button I choose), drag a box around some links, release, and the selected links all open in tabs. Easier than clicking 25 links per page on the thread tracker.
