Medal of Honor Warfighter Catch-All

Primarily ya...

Preload is now available (slow, but it's there)

Preloaded and ready to go. Is anyone starting the Platoon?

I guess they opened BL back up when they opened up pre orders. Platoon created.

Day 1 Patch

Fixed VOIP team channel bug to ensure channel is team-only.

Did it get wiped again? They said something earlier on twitter about wiping them again and they'd need to be recreated today.

well we tried using the party voip system but that didnt seem to work out well.

Had fun with the time I was able to spend with it. Maps were great and I noticed some neat things like going prone on a hill only to slide down the hill because it was too steep as well as that my support guy carrying a big gun runs a heck of a lot slower than my assault guy.

I just don't understand why they don't let you access the options screen unless you're in a match.

BF3 hold over. I keep hoping they'll add it to BL. They did finally add loadouts to BF3, so maybe in a year or so we'll also have settings!

I didn't even try to play last night. Just logged in and looked at key binds. Think I'll need to duplicate my BF3 mouse key bind stuff in Logitech's software before I can do what I want.

I hate "lean" games because I can never figure out how to bind them to where they make sense.

At the core this is fun game with interesting maps, but they've inherited and not changed some basic problems from BF3.
Not being able to change options while dead.
Getting pulled out of the options menu if killed is annoying.
Depending on the map and game mode there's some spawning issues.
Not able to change fire team mid game.

Still the game is LOADS of fun.
Maps are BEEEauuutiful. They break them down depending on # of players and game mode though. I played on a 6/6 server for a couple matches and that sh*t was WAY too small.
The lighting and sound design is some of the best i've seen yet. One thing they fixed from BF3 is the dusk time sun glare.

I've actually not played all the classes yet. I've done sniper, point man, and heavy gunner.
Oh the tac50 sniper rifle is a f*cking beast!

Oh yea one of my biggest gripes is my favorite weapon from teh beta is annoying as hell to use. The OBR (similar to the SKS from BF3) is a great gun but if you shoot multiple shots in a row the smoke plume from your gun obscures your vision. Not sure if this is a pc bug, or something up with my graphics. Either way it needs to be fixed.

Good thing you only had to use 1-2 bullets out of that gun to kill me. Repeatedly.

I will echo Ran's statement that the game is a lot of fun. I enjoy the pacing the fireteam dynamic, but I do find it to be a travesty that you can not change fireteams.

This game has a good core feel, but I think it might have been just like BF3. Still needed a bit of bake time before release.

It's way too hard to just exit the game. I'm longing for BF3's tighter tie into BL vs this other in game menu, because at least that means it's only one step to exit.

That said, there's fun to be had here in the MP.

Oh yea and seeing Mannish post reminds me.

Another annoying bug robbed me of my end of round glory! There's a animation of the top fire team at the end of each round. It was Mannish and myself, but the bug pulled in some other schlub instead of me.

I thought we had an open marriage.

EDIT: Another thing: The invisible walls and the fact that they seemed to have not used any destructibility at ALL in this game's MP are annoying. Especially knowing that you have an engine built around blowing crap up.

Given the way they were hyping destructibility in BF3 (building coming down on a chopper) and everyone wetting themselves at the possibilities, and how it actually turned out, I'd credit them with concentrating on what they know. Destruction, ignoring the technical problems, seems like a really tough nut to crack in gameplay, and I'm sure not every engine feature has to be used in every game. I don't remember much/any destruction in NFS The Run either.

BF3 is pretty destructible outside of the base game. Karkand turned things up, CQ even more.

Here even bamboo fences are impenetrable.

EA's buying off the press with pizza!

edit: Having now watch a ways past the pizza and patch installing parts, this game looks terrible.

Hey all, been doorment in the forums for a while. I got a few hours in on the game. Im a little confused and still trying to get all my controls mapped.
I like the SP, but the MP im still on the fence. For the record, i really liked both the SP and MP in the last MOH.
I dont know if its all in my head, but it seems like the SP graphics are better than the MP.
The special effects of the power-ups, the sound, and the reward system seem underwhelming compared to BF3.
Thoughts?
I am going to get some more time in tonight and took tomorrow off to play. Maybe it will seem better once i get the hang of its style.

Ok now that i got some time in, forget what i said. Things seem a lot better tonight.
I also noticed that my SLI got disabled which lowered my frame rate. Starting to like this game. still not sure how everything works yet, but its fun learning. Curious what others think.

Personally i think the sound and graphics are better than BF3. The game is still hampered by a bunch of little annoyances that were there when BF3 first launched.

Base game play, is a blast to play, reminds of me COD4MW with better guns.

The annoying part is if you are playing homerun, and you want to config a custom gun or class load out, good f*cking luck. Also my damn mic gets turned back to VOC every time a map loads. I have every setting in everything related to EA and this game set to mute. Short of unplugging the damn thing there is no hope.

Played a little of the campaign and a little of the online. The campaign so far has been awesome. The little that I've played of the multiplayer.... not so much.

Did anyone stick with their console preorder here, or did everyone just get it on PC? Thinking about Redboxing this game for a weekend and playing through the singleplayer (my internet sucks, so no MP for me).

I've tried to play the SP twice, run the first mission, then get to the cut scene on the phone. Game locks near what I assume is the end of the scene. Can't move forward.

Restart the game and have to run most of the first mission again.

I got it on PS3. I've only played it for about an hour or so and haven't had any problems with it yet.

I'm not totally impressed with the little bit of Multiplayer that I did play. The campaign has been pretty epic so far.

I tried to get into the single player once, but it crashed on me. I went back to the multiplayer after that.

Which by the way i'm enjoying the hell out of. It's a very nice blend of CoD and BF3. I'm digging the hardcore servers that swap through the different game types the best. My favorite game type is Hot Spot.

Them not allowing people to change fireteams is still annoying, but BF3 didnt allow you to change squads at launch either. So i'm sure that's coming soon.

I got passed that mission by setting my graphics to medium. Then I bumped them back to high, only to have it freeze on the next cut scene. So next step is to do custom settings, bumping stuff up in groups to find out what the offender is.

I'm not much on the hardcore settings that much for MP, but I don't like it much in BF3 either. I like a bit lower time to kill. I'm not sure what the level difference is here, though, so my opinion is just from accidentally getting on a hardcore (or whatever it's called) server.

Interesting because it doesnt seem as brutal as the BF3 hardcore is. There's still some guns that require you to get multiple hits to drop someone. Speaking of... the CS5 sniper rifle is a PoS. It's like a bb gun.

Yeah, my opinion is just from a round or two. Not sure if it will always hold up.

I generally don't like playing different settings than default in most games, though. I don't do well adjusting going back and forth. Always takes me a few rounds. So I like to play what most servers run.

OK this is getting bizarre...

I load up the game and it tells me i dont own it and not able to get it to load.

So i contact their online help desk and come to find out that even though the purchased was approved and i have the order number and everything that went with and have been playing it every day since launch that i was never actually charged.

lol so now i've been going through iterations of me trying to buy the game again, but Origin isnt letting me because it thinks i already purchased it.

Waiting on the help desk person now...

edit:

Escalating to the senior help desk team. odds of me playing tonight are looking slim.
