I know, right? Had to be some hints from the devs dropped somewhere.
I don’t know if you‘d consider this to be a game per se, but I had such a good time just playing the demo for Pixel Art Academy that I am looking forward to it hitting early access. The attention to detail in the presentation and the interface alone is incredible. If you just like pixel art or even dabbling in apps like aseprite, this might be worth taking a look at.
Im looking forward to Visions of Mana

Square Enix‘s games haven’t been that great recently, but considering them an indie developer is rather far fetched

100% agree.
But for some reason this game looks interesting.
I am also looking forward to that game shown at the game awards... that sorta looked like a "persona-ish game" I cant recall the name...
Manifesto something?

Metaphor: ReFantazio? I'm watching out for that, but it's also no indie. Or there's Demonschool, which really is an indie and which has a very SMT-Persona vibe.
Sounds like we need a 2024 upcoming games thread, for indies and AAAs and anything between.
Has anyone mentioned Selaco yet? It's a spiritual successor to F.E.A.R.

The demo was fun. Full version has been on my wishlist ever since. I played the demo on Steam Deck and it fit well but I'd like to see how it feels on a bigger screen.
I’m hoping it heads to PS5. I’m enjoying Prodeus at the moment which is similar but far more bloody.
LOVE PRODEUS

It’s soooo satisfying.

Started playing the demo before the new year and got distracted. I had also reinstalled FEAR 1 & 2 on the Xbox over the weekend. Will say the feel of movement in Selaco alone is a significant improvement over both those FEARs.
OMG so cute. Dragons Brew, a Stardew Valley where you run a game cafe:
