Upcoming Indie Games to Keep an Eye On

Wow, Year Walk looks interesting. Good thing I have an iPad at work. I might have to pick that up.

There's not much time left to get in on the discounted 4-packs for Monaco. I have a spreadsheet in the catch-all thread. Get on it, folks! It's 4 copies for the price of 3.

A game featuring Swedish mythology. Sold. I'll feel like I'm back home again.

Not really upcoming, but I had never heard about this one before, so new to me: Anne & Beanie

Sang Froid - Tale of werewolves was released today. http://www.sangfroidgame.com/

I don't know if there's a better thread for it, so here's some sad news.

It's a damn shame. They were very talented. Hell Yeah was their only game I didn't play, but the rest were great. They made unique, often quirky, arcade games that had a ton of polish and great art design. There wasn't another developer like them. RIP

Made a new development diary for Card Dungeon: http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=plcp&v=gPo8Kd9m-jg

Posted this in the Journey thread: Matthew Nava, previously the art director for That Game Company, started a new studio with a few others. It's called Giant Squid Studios. I created a catch all here because I expect great things.

I hear people like the old Fallouts.

Oh man, I'm ambivalent on the Fallout comparison but man do I love pretty hand-drawn isometric art.

Well, RPS today compared it to Metro. So, take your pick?

I couldn't find a thread for Anomaly: Warzone Earth or its upcoming sequel, Anomaly 2, so I'll put this video here, as 11 bit Studios is an independent developer.

I don't think this has been posted yet, but apologies if it has. Regardless, this trailer is new.

Frozen Endzone, from the makers of Frozen Synapse.

Greenlight page

Smart. It makes sense for gameplay, and the only thing more popular than shooting is sports.

I loved, LOVED Frozen Synapse, so this will be an easy purchase.

Gentlemen, you had my curiosity, but now you have my attention.

That looks cool.

There's only one thing I hate about cool looking indie games: they never stop coming.

New trailer for The Swapper.

So Prison Architect is on the Steam Early Access. Can anyone attest to whether or not it is fun and playable right now, or just full of potential?

*sigh* another one for my PAX to-do list.

I went back a couple pages, but didn't see Shu posted.

I guess I'm triple posting today.

Double Fine announces Dropchord, an upcoming rhythm game for an upcoming motion control piece of hardware.

Here is a trailer that explains nothing about how the game actually works.

Geez, I'm such a sucker for rhythm games. Yet another for my PAX to-do list. I almost want to go preorder that gizmo too.

New videos for upcoming city builder Banished:

I was curious and decided to peek into this thread. I sooooo regret it now haha. So many shiny things to buy!

Wow, Banished looks really cool.

I am all over Banished. Looks FANTASTIC.

Just saw the Banished article at RPS and immediately came to this thread.

It looks very promising. Can't wait to play it.
