Interesting Kickstarter Catch-All

Bard's Tale IV kickstarter is on, delivery in more than two years, but it's going really fast (despite them asking for $1.25 million). If you back it in the first 24 hours you'll get Wasteland 2 or Witcher 1+2 for free.

I pledged at $20 and I hadn't even realized I'd be getting another key for WL2. Woot!

Back to the lotto thread, you think?

I'm considering it, though I think since it isn't a new release it won't have quite the same draw (zing!)

I love Star Realms and Ascension, but I'm disappointed that this game seems to be straight-up Magic.

Oh, hmmm... good point. After your comment I might rescind my backing of it. I'm terrible at MtG

I'm shocked that a handful of MtG pros turned designers would do "yet another Magic".

Edit: On the flip side, it's Magic as an LCG which is kinda exciting. And without land screw.

That sounds dirty.

I jumped on The Bards Tale. I have been really enjoying both the Shadowrun games and Pillars Of Eternity, so another old-school RPG is right up my alley. With the bonus Wasteland 2 key it seemed like particularly good value.

I'm on the fence for Epic Card Battle, I love both Star Realms and Ascension, but I'm not such a big fan of Magic or Solforge (which has a very similar background).

I haven't played D3, but am keeping a close eye on this. If Multiplayer (supposedly a stretch goal, although zero information about stretch goals and what level they are, last time I looked) is added, I'll be all over this. If not.. meh, maybe much later, I'm quickly losing interested in non co-op games.

For the moment, then, the Kickstarter embargo continues for me.

Umbra stretch goals are up.
Multiplayer is done in phases and separate stretch goals.
I am disappoint that female avatar is the highest stretch and requires roughly 50% more money to reach. They are releasing mod tools, I almost want to say eff it to my hopes for it and make my own female avatar. (I've already donated. I just had hopes that the female avatar would have already been included or one of the first stretch goals)

Yeah it reminded me of this story. 12 yr old girl taking on temple run. So I decided to pass on it.

Kickstarter for "Shape of the World". Looks pretty.

I just wanted to throw this up as I just realized it is on its last day.

A really neat looking puzzle/platformer I tried at PAX South. I don't like platformers in general, but this one seems like a lot of fun.

LightFall

I haz a sad, I don't think Starfighter Inc is gonna make it.

As someone who travels a lot... I'm tempted.

Space Case 1 - The World's Most Advanced Smart Suitcase

As a man who won't use a lip balm without core ingredients and a tactical matte black package... I'm pathetic. But hey, at least there are 306 others (at the time of writing) to bolster my brittle ego.

Dude Stick - Lip Balm for Men with core natural ingredients

Let me just fish my Dude Stick out of my pocket... let's see, that's a quarter, that's my watch, that's a bullet, that's a knife, that's my handgun... ah, there it is. Mmmm. It's like Spike TV for my lips.

Does it taste like steak? Like, really undercooked steak? And whiskey. A nice bloody whiskey steak.

Don't worry, they're gonna keep on truckin'.

Unfortunately, we missed the sexiest smartphone charger on the planet. NSFW for the weirdest video I've ever watched.

Double post for bewilderment.

He missed a golden opportunity to have a great indicator on how far the iPhone is charged already.
Empty is all the way down, full, all the way up lol

That was a stretch goal. And now I creeped myself out applying the term "stretch goal" to this product.

Arakion, a project I backed in 2012, is rolling out the alpha to all the backers. Looks pretty good.

That looks pretty great!

I also backed that, and then all but forgot it exists. Looking forwards to laying hands on it.

I was right there with them until the part where the cord to plug it into the wall came out the anus. A bridge too far.

Just backed Perception. It looks really cool. Only a few days left in this one.

We're Alive: Lockdown, a companion piece to the excellent 4 season-long We're Alive zombie podcast/audiobooks, has about a week left, but is only 3/4ths of the way to its funding goal. The original show was a modern-day radio drama, complete with a full cast, music, and ample foley.

Since 2009, Wayland Productions has been producing high quality audio drama entertainment. Our first series, We're Alive: A Story of Survival, was created by Kc Wayland and co-produced with Grayson Stone. It spanned more than 130 episodes, 48 hours of content, and currently has over 35 million downloads. That series won numerous awards, including "Best of ITunes" and nominated for "Best Audio Drama" by the Audio Producers of America.

Undying is a tabletop vampire roleplaying game, based on a very radical hack of the Apocalypse World system. Looks really cool (I've been waiting for this one, after seeing bits and pieces while it's been in development.

We Happy Few has it's own thread but I haven't seen it in this one. Apologizes if I'm mistaken.

We Happy Few is the tale of a plucky bunch of slightly terrible people trying to escape from a lifetime of cheerful delusion. Set in a drug-fuelled, retro-futuristic city in an alternative history 1964 England, you’ll have to blend in with its other citizens, who don’t take kindly to people who don’t abide by their not-so-normal rules.

It’s a first-person game, set in a procedurally generated, fully 3D city that you must escape before society collapses around you. But, like any good roguelike, you’re probably going to die a few times before you figure out how it all works.

You will need to learn how to conform and avoid suspicion. You will need to hunt for supplies, and craft the devices and weapons that enable you to make it out of town alive. What do the Wellies approve of you doing? What makes them suspicious? What turns them into a homicidal mob? And is there anyone here who can help you?

Welcome, my friends. It’s another fabulous day in Wellington Wells.

Here's HybridPanda, one of my favorite streamers, playing about 20 minutes of the Pre-Alpha. (NSFW mild language)

Defect you guys. Build an awesome ship and eventually have your crew mutiny and take it from you. Kinda love the idea.

Oh Veloxi, you and your space games!

I will say though, that I do like the idea behind Defect.
