Borderlands 2 Catch-All

Hm. Strange. The pics in my browser fit into the text. I'll resample them into half the size. Is that small enough? BL2's a loot game. Half the fun is ogling at other people's stuff. I love seeing people's loot pics here.

I think I now have 13 keys. I've logged much more time in BL2 getting keys than I have playing since Xcom came out.

I had been hoarding mine, but went on a bender recently. I ended up with 2 crappy pistols and 6 grenade mods.

Boo.

Anyone else on the 360 having trouble getting Shift to log in?

Do Hyperion weapons drop most frequently at high levels? All of my strongest weapons are Hyperion and I hate their inaccuracy. Also, I just hit lvl 50 and I want to try and take on the optional bosses.

Do you actually need 4 people to fight the thresher? Also, has anyone fought the super varkid?

This was just brought to my attention. Wow.

Well, managed to beat the invincible Hyperion dude from the DLC with two other people. It's gonna take a long time to get enough Seraph Crystals to buy anything. It required us to dupe weapons. I've just resigned to it being okay because all the weapons will become worthless anyways once the level cap is raised. The second invincible guy we weren't able to beat even though our strategy was sound. We didn't put too much time into it though because all of us had to quit.

The Pirate DLC has been very kind to me, 4 E-tech weapons attained (oddly all slag...). Never have seen the Shotgun nor Rocket Launcher ones before:

Thanks! Tried it just now and surprised to see it was still valid.

I didn't notice a significant bump in Hyperion drops at level 50. All my strongest, rarest rifles are Dahl or Vladof. In fact, my purple and pink armory is studded with Vladof and Dahl guns. I fought and beat the thresher at level 50. You will need Bee shield, a strong shotgun just like I posted in the previous page, and some sort of ammo or damage booster. Slag grenades are great if you know how to nail a thresher with them, but I did it without.

If you want more purple weapons, friend me up; I'll set you up with one or two. ID is roxlimn2k. I got a bunch of Torgue pistols and stuff. I think I got an extra copy of a level 50 double bullet Dahl - godly with Bee Shield, and a nice Vladof blue rifle. If you're a pistolero, you'll be in luck. I'm swimming in purple pistols.

EDIT: Remembered your plight when I was farming Terra today. Saved you some sniper rifles and a nice Dahl combat rifle.

After farming Terra for a bunch with Axton today, I've had the following impression:

1. Use a fire weapon. If you have Heartbreaker at level 50, use that. It's awesome.
2. Use the Bee Shield.
3. Have a high Sentry skill and cooldown reductions. Turret is what keeps Terra occupied. You want it out and to stay on the field as long as possible.
4. High Impact. You will be doing the damage. Boost it however you can.
5. High Ready. You want to cut down on reload time as much as possible.
6. Longbow. You want Turret as far away from you as possible, and with high Health to go the distance.

And that's pretty much it. However you spread your points or don some relic that boosts whatever you're using will be useful, but the key areas that need to be covered are as above. As always, Slag's nice, but not really necessary. I would equip something that boosts fire damage, shotgun damage, or Hyperion damage (Heartbreaker is a Hyperion shotgun).

I've got two extra Soldier Slayer of Terramorphous class mods from farming Terra. You can have one of 'em if you want. More fun to get it yourself, though.

I got another one just like it; well, not exactly like, but near enough. You can have that one. Sent you a friend invite. Message me online and you can get it.

That rifle makes me tingle! The highest damage sniper I've seen so far was 17k, but with a 0.6 fire rate. Nice find!
Edit: I swear this game reads my mind.

Edit: Who was the joker that thought it was a good idea to give Goliaths and Nomads Rocket Launchers? And then spawn them in groups?

Invite accepted, but no worries on the weapon. As you say: Part of the fun!

I found a 20,000 damage rocket launcher. Level 30.

This game feels big. I've heard others say they feel it is smaller than the first one. That may be so in overall space, though I wonder how much of that is including DLC in your memories. As well, a lot of the dungeons themselves seem really deep. I'm at 50+ hours, level 30, and not done with my first playthough. I know this is partially because I folled around in other games that were at missions I'd already done. I also know that I'm just slow at games, especially if you give me a chance to explore- I will, a lot. Still, just a general comment on how big the game feels at this point. Think I'm going to hold off on the DLC until I'm done my second playthrough of the vanilla game.

I found one of those at maybe 32/33. And then at 38 or 39, I got a 40k launcher. Things start increasing exponentially the higher you get.

There really aren't favorite weapons that you can hold onto 4/5 levels past their acquisition anymore. Don't get too attached to anything in TVHM.

They aren't common, but they do exist. I've a handful of weapons/mods that I've passed down from alt to alt simply because they are useful for a long time. I admit, less so in TVH, where a few levels can see a significant increase in hit points.

After dying against Terra (Seriously, I guess you will die) a few times just to see how the encounter is set up I decided to farm my first piece of equipment. I am now a proud owner of a lvl 48 Bee shield which boosts some of my crits over 1200k.

Thanks Eldon!

After taking a few weeks off, I decide to take a crack this again. I dropped my Assassin (was dying a lot) and I started playing the Mecromancer. I ran a few public multiplayer sessions to get her up to where I was at before, and now I'm looking for Roland. I'm enjoying it a lot more this time due to pet > stealth.

Woohoo! Got the SHiFT code, a kickass Mongol from a Geary run, and a Space Knight head and a purple Dahl sniper from BNK-3R! Your brother's on a roll.

Got this off the boss, plus a boatload of other purple and blue guns (over multiple kills, natch):

IMAGE(https://dl.dropbox.com/u/16402314/Borderlands%202%20Screenshots/2012-10-21_00002.jpg)

This monster fires 19 shots at once with a fire rate of 3.1! The reload speed is also a blistering 2.7.

With the Bee Shield boosting its damage output by 1000%, this baby can take out BNK-3R on a solo run in ONE pass. I don't even bother using it on normal mooks. Waste of buckshot. I can't imagine how overkill a pair of these would be on a Gunzerker.

My wife and I just finished our first Playthrough at level 29 (we Dinged after defeating last boss). Now all the enemies are the same level as us, and I'm worried. We just played through the first little area and the enemies were super weak.

Is this what I should expect, or does True Vault Hunter mode get harder fast? We wanted to do the 2nd playthrough for the sidequests we skipped, but if the exp makes it too easy... that would be disappointing. Can the level 50s share their thoughts?

No worries. It ramps up fairly quickly. You'll be respawning with Hyperion in no time at all!

Running into some strange issues when trying to connect to other games or inviting people. Ran some tests with my little brother and it's like the invites disappear into the ether. Sick of troubleshooting and going to keep playing instead. That is the power of Pandora.

Would anyone do me a favor and keep their eyes open for a Gunzerker blue/purple Hoarder Mod? Level doesn't usually matter when it comes to Mods.

Thanks for posting the keys. I'll keep an eye open for that mod!

I have one (level 41), but seems like connecting to games is being a pain for me tonight.

this is just a small sample, after killing "the easy T" about 10 times all you see is colors you can't tell what's what.
