Borderlands 2 Catch-All

Hooray! I'm so glad to hear some folks are eager to play a lot of this on the 360. Looks like I won't be canceling my preorder after all.

My preorder collectors is on 360, since that's where I played the first. I will be double dipping, but will mostly be on 360 i think.

My RSI is starting to flare back up some so I'll probably be spending more time on 360 than I was originally thinking.

I'm definitely interested in PC co-op if people don't mind a silent partner -- I play late at night when my wife and toddler are asleep, so I can't use a mic. I could definitely get on Vent or whatever others are using so that I can hear other players, I just wouldn't have a mic of my own.

That's kind of a deal-breaker for me, I'm afraid. I only play with people who are constantly screaming. Fortunately I'm able to supply a steady stream of things for them to scream about. :D

Oh gosh. That one night when our ME3 connections weren't working and only Lobster and one other person had mics. It was this constant barrage of inane chatter, and made up things that one silent teammate said about the other teammate.

You don't want to play with Lobster if you can't defend yourself vocally. :p

Inane chatter? Lobster? I DON'T BELIEVE IT!

We'd make a good team! I don't play games with the sound on but I could speak into a mic as much as I wanted. So you could listen and I couldn't hear.

That sounds like my marriage.

Heyooohh!

I'd love to join the Steam group, I may not be able to play a ton and will probably be playing late at night, but some co-op at some point would be a lot of fun. Very excited for this release.

Hey, at least half of that stuff I said Kloreep said about you was true! And some of it he even actually said!

At the risk of diverting the conversation away from Lobster's ... whatever, I will be buying on 360 and I'll take Friend Requests from people doing for same.

It looks like I will be playing 2 characters on PC: The Gunzerker for my dedicated game w/ non-GWJ'rs, and the Assassin for everything else (Including GWJ play). And the remaining 3 for xbox: Again a dedicated Siren for a separate group, the Commando for a random or GWJ group, and the Mechromancer for a late-to-the-party group ;).
Xbox handle is: PuppetMatr1x, friend me up.

Friend me up on Steam(you are on PC, right?). When you're free and clear, holler; I'll be your Gunzerker.

No, that's why I said "360". Sadly, I don't have a souped-up Windows box and likely won't any time soon.

Really, it's not the end of the world, it's just that, in light of all to come, this is likely the last new game I'll be picking up for a really long time, and I want to have an idea of how far that last-new-game business is going to get me. If I do pick it up, that is. If it's not going to get me far, I'll wait until it's cheap or someone wants to trade or something.

Yea, I wasn't fast enough with my edit apparently.

Can you start your teammates on fire in this game?

That's Prozac's job.

51 minute quicklook over at Giant Bomb.

Jeff has Paul from Gearbox there as he plays through a mission about half-way through the game, so if you're sensitive to spoilers you might want to give this one a pass. They're running the X360 version.

I'm definitely looking for some other folks to play this co-op on 360. Friend me if you want to party up.

Skill Trees!

Time to fiddle around with this.

Hmmm... anyone have an ideas as to which class is going to work best with SMGs? I looked through all the skills, and none of the classes have a SMG specific skill.

Sweet. Siren looks like it can have a nice support build in the middle tree. Health orbs for you and teammates, instant revives, and healing during phaselock.

Need to check the others but I might be leaning Siren again already.

Starting to think I'll favor the Gunzerker. The Berzerker became my favorite in the first game, so I'll probably try to pull off some similar madness this game.

Outside of pistols for the gunzerker and sniper rifles for the assassin it doesn't look like there's any gun-type specific stuff in the skill trees.

Gunzerker looks like it will easily be the most fun class for me.

Yeah I didn't realize the Siren could be such a cool support class. Leaning full on support Siren right now. Although, the melee Assassin build looks like it could be fun. I wish I could link builds.

Commando has a magazine size buff for Assualt rifles in the middle tree.

I Think I'm going to play Zero with some mix of the two right skill trees. Maxing out speed, and melee.

Loving the Commando Survival (3rd) Tree.

Put turret on ceiling. adds a shield to the turret, and finally lets you put out two turrets.

I would like to be invited to the group. Here is my link

Use a 360 controller on the PC? If you prefer PC...

I'd love an invite to the steam group (http://steamcommunity.com/id/estorino), unlike the first game I'm going PC instead of 360 for this release. My Borderlands1 coop partner on 360 is expecting a baby in a few weeks, so his time in the badlands will be few and far between. There's a lot more potential coop partners on steam, plus it seems that the PC version is getting more attention this time around.

Oh, and if people have ordered 4-packs, I would love to take 1 or 2 copies off your hands! Have paypal, so should be fine.

P.S. Axton will be my character, just like my Roland in Borderlands1, turrets kick butt!
