Borderlands 2 Catch-All

Not mentioned in the Polygon article is the release date. June 9th if the leaked info is correct.

Jumped in a game with Dark King and Circa? Are they from GWJ? Anyways, hope that was alright, I had fun, got 3 levels Hope I didn't drag you guys down. Was also trying not to loot anything unless you guys passed it over since everything was too high for me to use. Also couldn't figure out how to chat in game.

New (free) DLC is out!

And a review (Spoiler: it’s good!): https://m.ign.com/articles/2019/06/0...

Damn. Went ahead and purchased handsome collection to bring over my save. Glad to see new dlc is highly rated.

Its fun so far. I haven't found any particularly good loot in a few hour of play as Gaige.

It is pretty amazing and especially if you have the new texture pack. Played through it with Dark King last night. Got an epic(orange) class gear. Also, didn't look at too closely before logging but got a rainbow level relic.

Same, but my old save is from when I had just moved up to THVM and my gear is a bit... insufficient. Built properly, Gaige is a monster. So, with some careful play, I was only downed once in the hour or so that I played last night. Hoping I see some new gear soon...

From what I've read, they added a new weapon tier as well: "Effervescent". If memory serves, that was a tier that was also added with one of the DLCs in the first game.

Side note: I originally played the base game and all of the DLC on Steam and the Pre-Sequel on PS4. I also picked it up recently on PSVR and then they went and gave us the Handsome Jack collection on PS Plus this month. With the latter two, I haven't really had a chance to get started yet, but it would be nice if they went cross platform. More than anything - and especially since they've added Aim Controller support - I'd like to be able to import my Steam characters over to PSVR when all of the DLC finally makes its way there in the near future.

Noob question as someone diving into Borderlands 2 with no other Borderlands experience. I havent' spent much time reading guides but when I look up a gun on wikipedia (e.g. Moxie's reward guns) I see much better stats in the example vs what I have. Can you upgrade guns? Did players do these missions much later and therefore got high level rewards whereas I did them early in the game? Any tips to getting loot other than continuously get new stuff and use new guns when it makes sense?

I just played through the campaign and DLC's then quit, but this method worked out pretty well for me.

There are very few guns, if any, in Borderlands that are set in stone. They all spawn with variants, even mission rewards.

One of my big complaints bout he game is that guns can’t be leveled. You might get a great legendary, but you’ll eventually out level it and good luck finding another one!

My other complaints are similar: the ever increasing level cap and ridiculous difficulty spike in true vault hunter mode.

I finished the free Borderlands 2 DLC bridging the game to BL3. Highly recommended. Well written. Several hours.
I’m excited for BL3.

Is there a level recommendation for new DLC? I have it but I'm still figuring out how to navigate.

I believe level 30 for normal mode, but it does take place after the events in Borderlands 2 so I'd finish the main game first if you've never played the main campaign all the way through before. Coincidentally, playing through the main game should get you up to level 30.

Also the gun recommendation videos usually are by players who have maxed out their levels and spent time farming enemies for the "ideal" version of the gun. So no level 13 legendary won't have anywhere close to the same stats as a max level 72 (now 80) weapon- but it will be about equivalently powered to the enemies you're currently facing, and may last for up to 10 levels past that.*

*depending on your build, the stats of the gun, what the special bonuses do, etc.

Also, for the latest DLC, you can create a brand new level 30 character.

I've gone and dumb thing of playing Borderlands 2 again. Not quite at the DLC as I'm playing my way through the campaign on True Vault Hunter Mode. Went through and enter every active Shift Code I could find. I'm a little concerned I'll burn myself out on loot-shooters by the time Borderlands 3 comes out but I REALLY need a mindless comfort game and B2 is SO GOOD at that.

Heck, I never played the DLC the first go round, so this is like playing an all new game for me

I'll be doing that too! Some of it I completed but not all of it.

I played through the new DLC and it was amazing! (First play through I mostly just followed Dark King around lol)

Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep is great for the story, but some of the mobs are way overpowered.

Only other one I have done is Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage so hopefully will have time to play the others as well. Work, school, half acre of yard to mow and a wife who wants some of my freetime makes it tough to play

BL2 has been my in-between-other-games game pretty much since the Handsome Collection was released. I also played-through the first game when the Game of the Year edition came out so yea I am in danger of Borderland burnout.

I've been back at too. Finishing up Tiny Tina's Assault with a friend & will likely start the new DLC after that.
Personally, I'm in no rush for BL3. Not burnt but definitely crispy. Not even sure if my pc can run it at a decent frame rate.

Word to the wise:
If you are going the route of pregenerating a class to start off with the latest DLC, do one of the other DLC or final campaign missions first. I found myself dying over and over jumping right into the latest DLC.

You will more than likely struggle if you don't spend some time in those other missions working on getting the right balance of weapons and making sure your class gear and shields complement your talent choices. I struggled with the psycho, assassin, and commando this way. So when I fired up a gunzerker, I had a much easier time running through the campaign boss's mission before heading into the fight for sanctuary. Both Scarletts and Torques DLC are great for loading up on great guns. The former has great shotguns and an awesome electric SMG. The latter is great for explosive weapons of all kinds.

I found a monstrous volcano while farming Uranus.

Hey everyone.

I'm looking to do some playthroughs (from scratch) , but I do not have the commander Lilith DLC. I do have all the other mission/xpac dlc's though.

If you're interested, let me know. I'm looking to play a Siren as support.

Hope to hear from you guys and thanks for reading =D

I thought the Commander Lilith DLC was free...? Maybe there were some stipulations I wasn't aware of, but it automatically updated my copies on PS4 and PC.

It was free for the first month or so then became paid DLC.

Seriously?
What a bummer. I am glad I grabbed it when I did. Hopefully now that 3 is out, it is selling for only a couple of bucks...

Still $15 in the Steam store =(

FYI tweeder459 it is good but pretty short. I want to say 5-8 hours long?
