Trials Evolution: whoaw

Just saw the video on Joystiq for this one. The only part I wonder about is the FPS looking part.

Sweet.

When did Trials turn into LBP?

Trials HD had track creation, too.

But this does go beyond track creation into something more than just make race tracks.

I think they were just showing how creative you can be with the editor.

Looks fun, but looks like it is even harder then before. I would enjoy the multiplayer part though.

Can't wait.

Man, I hope they bring this one to the pc. I find these games much easier when I'm pressing my face against the screen. Apparently the 1ms quicker it gets to my brain is important.

I wish this was out on either PC or PS3. For some reason, Xbox is the thing I want to play the least. But, I'm pretty sure I need to get this.

I also hope it comes to PC.
I'm surprised I didn't see any levels where he got his head chopped off though. In Trials 2 I felt like you ran into those obstacles all the time.

As far as I know, Trials HD only ever came out on Xbox so I would assume this will be the same.

Man, I can't wait to race as Clarence Darrow!

I like the idea of the skill game circus. It seems like it will be hit or miss on the events but it adds quite a bit of variety. I can't wait to try this out tonight.

Maybe, but MS published Trials HD whereas Ubi are publishing Trials Evo

Giantbomb listed the publisher as Microsoft Studios. Ubisoft is probably getting credit as a developer since they own Red Lynx.

Played quite a bit today. The Multiplayer is pretty fun and the Downloadable levels load very quickly. Haven't checked to see if you can use the downloaded levels in multiplayer, but there are Supercross tracks that you can download, so I'm guessing they can be used online.

Leaderboards seem borked right now. Must have already sold a lot of copies.

So, it's not just me?

Trials games are so great. This one is definitely at the top too.

The map editor in particular is pretty fantastic. It just gives you a pretty big map area and you can draw your track wherever you want in it. Plus you can add virtually anything you can find in the single-player game into it, and edit the terrain. Not sure how you're supposed to be able to make other kinds of games, like the Marble Madness thing and first-person stuff, but I haven't messed with it much yet. It's verrrry powerful though.

I'm having severe stability issues with the demo.

The game is pausing for 2 and 3 seconds at a time randomly during runs. Layers of texture loads are filling in before the round starts and during runs. Menus are laggy as heck.

Man, what's going on?

I rebooted my system and all that, but now I'm wondering if I should delete and re-download the game.

The game seems like it should be great, but right now it's a technical mess.

Must be a demo issue. Full game is fine for me, apart from the leaderboard issues.

It seems to be working for me now.

I have noticed none of the issues that you've had so you might want to try reinstalling.

Mine's still not saving. I hope the two hours that I just played aren't a total loss.

Feel free to add me. I want lots of people on the leaderboards so I can rock... or get beaten

So much fun for $15. The first track under the B license when it slightly changes direction was a nice touch.

"E" from Xbox Network is saying the leader board issue is fixed.

EDIT: Now it seems broken again, and when it's broken, your scores don't upload to leader boards.

Ok, the game's fun, that's a given. Also, I love how they've diversified the levels, even if it's mostly just cosmetic. But, am I the only one that thinks the game looks ugly? And I mean everything. The textures, effects, lighting, and no vsync is honestly effecting my enjoyment. I don't have HD to compare, but I remember Trials 2 at max settings looked a lot better than what my Xbox is outputting.

More complex levels, sure, but it's still disappointing.

I just posted the 138th best time on a map. That will easily the best I ever do at this game. I should just give up now.

To say the game changes at medium difficulty would be an understatement.

After getting a few licenses and some good runs last night I gave up. I was having allot of fun but I just want my times recorded!

Does anyone know if the leaderboards will have a friends list? I like the way Zen Pinball does it and it would be great if this had something similar.

It's already there, you might just need to change your filter. I know iaintgotnopants and spedmez were the only two I had showing last night, though.

When the servers were working last night, I went back in and redid all the ones that it didn't hold my score on the first time. Still fun.

You have iaintgotnopants on your friends list? Enjoy looking at his times at the top of every freakin leaderboard.

I got a little obsessive after I can home last night and ended up playing through all of the Medium and Hard tracks. I'm stick in the 3rd Extreme track and it's really frustrating. The bad part about the Extreme tracks is the feeling that the physics change. It feels like there are parts where you're actually being pulled backward slightly to make certain jumps more difficult.

I played Public Online, a little bit, and did fairly well. I won 4 of the 5 heats I raced in. Even beat a level 8 Rider while I was a lowly level 2.

I haven't messed around with the track creator, yet, but it seems ridiculously robust. It's so easy to download and race new tracks, too. This is going to add infinite replayability to this game. There are even Leaderboards for User Created Tracks. I played one, last night, that iaintgotnopants had also played and it gave me his Name Marker in-game, like it does on single player tracks.

This game is so worth $15.
