Justified thread

You should note for the record he thought he had four kidneys.

Viva el Constable Bob.

Argh, the DVR recording was corrupt somehow.

Speaking of that, can someone tell me what happened at the end of the conversation with the Canadians? My sound kicked out, and I'm not sure why he gave them the money, or what was resolved/not resolved then. He seemed to get pretty mad afterwards, so I am assuming it wasn't something good.

I knew Canadians were trouble.

There wasn't much said.
The Canadians said one more shipment and that's it and got up to leave and looked at Boyd (I assume because they weren't sending a shipment without funding) and Wynn says Boyd's name also assuming he'd have to give them the cash. Boyd gave up the briefcase. I assumed the phone call at the end of the episode (you hear no audio on the other side of the call) is the Canadians saying there won't be a shipment after all.

I like this show but the focus to more humor and even making The Canadians two comedians (Dave Foley from Kids in the Hall and Will Sasso from MadTV) is a bit too much of the hand being revealed.

Mine, too. Had to stream it with the Fx app on iPad.

Eezy, I thought that phone call was Boyd learning Ava's case was assigned to the judge they didn't want.

Well, both Dave and Will are actual Canadians, so it kinda works for me

I cannot wait to see how Dave Foley as hard case criminal plays out.

I am a bit annoyed though -- every year Luna and I like to guess at how many episodes will pass before Raylan gets down to the business of shooting fools. After the cold open in the court room, I had this pegged as a three, maybe four episode season, and now I look like a bit of a fool.

Goddamn, but I love this show.

Hahahahahaha, awesome.

Sigh, apparently next season will be its last:

I'm mostly okay with this, but I'll still miss the show horribly.

Had to end sometime. I'd rather they finish strong as opposed to dragging things on simply to collect more money like "How I met your mother" is doing.

Yeah, knowing when to end it is a good sign it'll end right. But still, sigh.

I think/hope that, given discs and streaming options, companies and studios are increasingly seeing the value of ending on a high note, or at least not a bummer note. Having suffered through the last 2 seasons of Buffy, and aborted several attempts to watch all of The X-Files, I say future generations ought be spared such horrors.

I think it's great they realize they need to end sooner than later. Nothing worse than a show overstaying it's welcome and ruining what was once a great series.

Man, in this first episode, when he chose NOT to go see his daughter...that really bothered me. What the hell, man.

And then he lied about being in Florida. Wow, he'll be a GREAT dad.

My thought was immediately "Yeah, that's... exactly what that character would do."

I think that might be part of the reason Raylan wants to keep his distance. He doesn't think he will be a good father. Terrible logic, but with a dad like Arlo was and extended family like the ones he has...

It's Raylans all the way down.

Yeah, I buy it. That's part of what made it so impactful. Having young kids is another part.

GAH! I must have stumbled into the psychoanalysis thread by mistake. I need to go lie down.

Avon Barksdale! He better return.

This season of Justified is starting off soooo good! Sad to hear that it will be over soon, but they have made a quality show! Was really cool to see

Spoiler:

Loretta back and also going toe to toe with "Hot Rod"

last week. Still can't wait to watch this week's episode.

I've told my wife over and over, but Timothy Olyphant is my Man-Crush. He's done such great work in movies (and of course Deadwood). But I'll never forget the role of Raylan Givens.

Duffy with the BB gun was my scene of this week.

I am fairly certain Amy Smart's character is there for more than just eye candy....

Woah.

That leaf sure had a lot of firepower. I get an ominous feeling that Art is going to die.

Hell he should have. I'm sure an AA-12 would blow right through those luggage carts, but I guess on TV no line of sight = "cover"
