NCAA Football 2012 Season Catch-All

Another week another top 25 team for Cal to play on the road with USC this week. Despite our good showing last week and U$C's loss to stanfurd I'm pretty sure its going to be a lopsided loss for Cal tomorrow. Unlike tOSU, USC has a damn good quarterback that will find the open guy (there's always one with our horrible D) and when he does, he'll actually get the ball to him. If Barkley and Company just open up with 10 straight passes they may be up by 14 before Cal can blink.

As usual I will make my trek to Southern California to watch this debacle... Cal has won 1 time in the last 15 years or so playing in SoCal between fUCLA and U$C and my guess is the string continues tomorrow. Last year @UCLA was the first time I've ever left a Cal game early as it look like we just gave up (I last left a game early in 1993 when Cal came back from a 30 point halftime deficit against Oregon, and vowed never to leave early again). Was the worst loss in Tedford's tenure at Cal IMHO.

If I survive walking back to my car from University of South Central I'll post some thoughts. (anyone who has been to USC knows this is no over-dramatization.. listening to SC fans is bad enough.. having to dodge bullets on your way home just adds to the fun).

Aggies have South Carolina State, an FCS team. Hopefully a non-event, but tell that to Baylor, who was down to Sam Houston at halftime last week.

Big ACC game at 8PM Clemson vs. FSU! Go Seminoles!

Made it to Miami last night around 8. Going to FIU-Louisville tonight at 7!

Again I say this. Can't believe those 2 games. Oregon State looks not terrible.

Seriously

They've been a couple really fun games to watch. Mike Reilly is good people.

At least we scored? Cannot wait to see this team on the road.

LSU-Auburn, didn't expect that outcome.

Well, we certainly tried to lose the game, but managed to do just enough to pull out a win. One of the ugliest LSU games I have ever seen. They were amazingly undisciplined and unmotivated. Those kind of mental lapses will not get the job done against the likes of Alabama and South Carolina!

Ugh... Another Cal loss. No one thought we had a chance in ether of our last 2 games and we hung in there for both. We were actually driving down the field down 17-9 but our qb made a bad decision to try to squeeze one in when he could have maybe run for a 1st down which resulted in an int killing the drive.

Our pass D was surprisingly "better" with 2 picks and a few passes defended but USC owned the line on both sides of the ball. I think they rushed for over 300 yards on us, and our qb was running for his life a lot.

These last 2 games were definite improvements over the first 2 despite two losses. We regained our discipline playing in very hostile environments, and we didn't completely embarass ourselves. I think a 6-6 season is definitely possible... Who knows maybe we sneak out a 7th win somewhere.

Oh and congrats to Oregon state. That sound you here is embarassing bruin fans tripping over each other trying to hop off the bandwagon.

WooHoo Notre Dame! The offense was ugly, but I'm pretty excited to see ND becoming a defensive football team!

FIU was fast. Teddy made his first two INTs of the season, although the 2nd was on defensive PI not called. Still a sloppy win, but a win.

Louisville had More fans than FIU.

Wow, I thought Auburn was sucking this year. I was starting to figure we'd win at Auburn.

Ags over FCS team SC State 70 - 14, nothing to see here...

Bring on Arkansas!

Kansas has improved in so many ways, but one of the biggest additions is turning into a giant bust. Dayne Crist brought all the right atitude and hope to the team, but his personal performance is really lacking.

So it looks like their record will be pretty awful, but their performance is still a vast improvement over how historically bad they were last year.

Ah f*ck.

Nice to see FSu has a run game again! That type of power running reminds me of Greg Jones!

Did y'all see where John L. Smith mistakenly referred to his team (Arkansas) as a "state of Alabama" football program during their post-game press conference? You can't make this stuff up!

They have gone from a coach who occasionally thinks with the wrong brain to a coach with no brain at all. My sincere condolences, warhawk.

Well, he does have a lot of other stuff fighting over space up there - a catastrophic season, up to 25 million in debt, and his younger brother just dying. I feel sorry for the guy.

I'd feel more sorry for him if he wasn't causing Arkansas so much pain. I know how I'd feel if he was coaching my team.

John L was at a dinner for boosters in Little Rock when he said that. He said some other interesting stuff too. When asked where he though Petrino would be coaching next year he candidly replied, "Auburn." Like the deal was done. News to Gene Chizik. Nothing to get one of the only teams we might beat fired up like saying their head coach is going to be fired.

Yeah it's bad, the Hogs are going to be the Aggies first SEC win. The thought makes me physically ill (not just because it's the Aggies).

Great game tonight! Washington played lights out on defense, Stanford could not move the football. I could get behind Sark as Head Hog!

Take slimy Sark and his treacherous scheming recruiter Tosh Lupoi with him. My hope would be you do it a few days before national signing day and any recruits that signed with Washington go to other schools... heck take the recruits to Arkansas if you want.

I think we can settle that fan base thing now.

A PSA from WVU reminding their students to celebrate with class and not burn couches.

Sark is slimy, lets face it the SEC has several slimy coaches. He seems like he can coach, and might be one of the few realistic names being floated.

Might be time for a coach burning in Fayetteville.

Gig 'Em, Aggies!

Dang ol' 11:20am start time...

Touchdown, A&M!

I need this game to be settled by halftime, because I'm going to the Magic Return to Ravnica pre-release that starts at 2pm!

Aggies should score at will, the fact that our defense stopped them is amazing.

Dude, so far this is not the blowout you promised me.

Knile is running the ball like he should have been doing all year. Aggies can still score at will.
