Whatever happened to Employee Profiles

No pressure, huh?

Edit: So... what questions would you all like to see asked? No promises but I'm definitely open to suggestions.

Maybe a pre-story thread per person to get some questions going. It may defeat the whole point of the story, but it may give some more targeted questions to get things going.

Sub-500s (five hundies?) rep'sent!

An even better question is: would Lobster's Mom be considered an employee?

Do you actually pay her?

I was looking for more generic questions that folks would want to see asked of everyone selected. The targeted questions can come in the comments of the story. Of course, they're under no obligation to answer them.

Oh, well, if you want questions, I'd just go with what's been done before; pick and choose from older profiles. No sense in changing it when what's out there works well

Yes, that was my starting point. For the record, they've always been the same 9 questions (other than a handful that we in an interview format). No need to pick and choose. I was interested in hearing if anyone had any ideas for new ones.

You could always use James Lipton's 10 Questions.

What is your favorite word?
What is your least favorite word?
What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
What turns you off creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
What sound or noise do you love?
What sound or noise do you hate?
What is your favorite curse word?
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
What profession would you not like to do?
If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?

A liberal use of the word "game" or "gaming" in those questions would make for some interesting reading.

If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?

I thought all Goodjers were Mighty Oaks? It said so in the promotional materials.....

If your life could be summed up in a fortune cookie message, what would it say?

If you were trapped in a room with James Lipton for several hours, what would you eventually end up bludgeoning him to death with?

If you were me, what questions would you ask?

What's your biggest weakness?

Spoiler:

I swear, I have no ulterior motives, and am not compiling a list in case GWJ turns into Thunderdome.

If you could live in a video game, which game would it be?

What is dimmerswitch's biggest weakness?

How many PSPs could fit inside a school bus?

If you were stuck on a deserted island with only 1 game, what would it be?

Good lord, why aren't you wearing any pants?

I find this really interesting—it's the sort of question that makes me daydream for hours, right until that uncomfortable moment when I realize I care more about fictional worlds than I do the real one. That's when some kind of failsafe kicks in and I stop.

I'd dig keeping the same traditional questions.

Does it have to be a chair?

2526 baby! A lot lower than I thought it would be.

If a GWJer falls over in the woods, can anyone hear me laugh?

Oh, is iaintgotnopants going first?

Are you a hobo?

What is a man?

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if your mom was wearing a woodchuck as pants?

Who is John Galt?

Does this look like a rash to you?

Would you like to play questions?

Please tell me she doesn't wear her hair like that all the time.

Usually she wears it straight down with the bangs pinned back.
