Whatever happened to Employee Profiles

161 here, and I'm married to Elysium! How did 160 people get in before me?

Ummm well, they came on the site and registered....oh, I see what you mean.

I'm at 8314, and came in with a flood from the 1upocalypse, so I'm pretty sure I've got a number of coffee grinder litter mates who came here to decry the fate of 1up and then fade into eternity...

Guys, it's not how low your number is, it's the sense of belonging and camaraderie that we all feel, regardless of how long we've been here or even our various perspectives and interests.

Spoiler:
EAT A DICK, DOC AWK! You're just a spoiled, lucky man child with no redeeming qualities! I've heard you guys under 522 wear frilly panties.

46. Not that I was prolific, but certainly more of a lurker now.

If I hadn't lurked until the NFL2k5 league started up, I might have gotten a 3-digit ID. Who knew it would be such an important matter?

I had the honour of being asked to do one, but I'm a fairly private person, so didn't vouch any information. I still feel a bit bad about that, since it was so nice to be asked.

With a minor edit, I'm guilty of this as well.

I'm 5318008.

I thought that was Beth's account.

Hmmm, my user id is 2549, after taking out all the long time lurkers, people that have moved on and people that have already had a profile I'd have to be close :)

Can we have a profile of your female relatives instead?

+1!

Such a stark, stark contrast to the LFD2 server welcome screen pics.

Dibs?

10,508 here...I still lurk. I do try to participate more, but I'm shyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy...no, not really.

I'm way down in middle management at 3260, but at least we made a party out of it.

I'm a hell of a lot lower than I thought I'd be at 3591, and I lurked for a while as well before finding anything I felt I needed to contribute to.

Now that I've posted this, should I be worried about identity theft?

147 - Less poster more lurker... always been. But i love you all in the face the same way. Except Certis... 'cuz.. ya know..

TO AUSTRALIA!

Thank GOD this community finally got down to UID elitism! Now we just need a board that can only be viewed by people under 1112.

Like me. 1111. I think I came here from a Slashdot story back in the day? I can't remember.

Is it sad that I made this post just to see what my UID was?

Spoiler:

It was probably the Half-Life 2 Leak story. That was how I came over.

Well, Grumpicus has offered to take up the mantle and get profiles rolling again. We'll see what happens!

No pressure, huh?

Edit: So... what questions would you all like to see asked? No promises but I'm definitely open to suggestions.

Thanks for reminding me. I don't have to renew the domain for my creepy countdown website again.

This UID thing is rather awkward. Good thing I didn't just spend 5 minutes looking at my profile to find out what the hell you people are talking about. Right.

487 so there.

Oooh user 870! I feel like I'm in some kind of cool under 1k club.

I'd tell you all about it but the first rule is that I can't talk about it.

Anyone but *Legion*.

I don't think that's a question...

It was more of a statement.

Maybe: can we get anyone but Legion? That's a question.
A better question is: What the hell happened to Sway?
An even better question is: would Lobster's Mom be considered an employee?

Easiest way to see is to go to your My Recent Posts page in the tracker and look at the URL. The number at the end is your user number.

Or find one of your posts and hover over your user name on the left to see what link it takes you to. The number is at the end.

I wonder how many sub 1000 user id people still regularly contribute...or is it an entirely new generation of goodjers?

I don't know if I'd say I contribute "regularly", at least, not on the site itself. But I'm always around. Lots of others are too.

I would guess there are probably still like 80-100 of us around.
