I'll join ya.

I'm interested too.

I came to tag the thread, but had to QFT.

Stay away from Vietnam and the Russian campaign one. Both are punishing as hell in single player. Assault Squad is online focused. So ... I guess I'm saying the original is pretty good if you're playing alone.

Oh. I am interested in single player MOW Assault Squad and Vietnam. Is it really that hard? Or is it Dark Souls hard, i.e. frustrating but a learning experience where do you better in every attempt?

I bit on COD Black Ops.

For some reason I have really been wanting that one.

I have a very hefty wishlist, but here are a few games that I am particularly interested in:

Witcher 1
Witcher 2
Settlers 7: Paths to a Kingdom
Rainbow Six: Vegas games
Fallout: New Vegas
Torchlight

I believe W1, W2, TL, and FO: NV will have large sales.

Witcher 2 is like 26$
More than worth it support CDP

Whaddya know. Sales.

Nah, I'll wait.

I am definitely picking up orcs must die, TDU2 and lonesome road tonight I'm sure there is other stuff but the main games I want is street fight 4 arcade and skyrim both are not on sale yet but I think SS4A will be sometime soon.

In other words yay steam sales

I must get out of bed to take advantage of the Mass Effect and Nexus: Jupiter Incident sales, but so sick! I'll do it for you, Steam.

OMD is a steal at that price. Picking that one up now (and tagging this thread).

So this sale isn't in the eyes of the beholders? I don't get it.

I'd bet ya a dollar Space Pirates and Zombies will be 75% off before this sale is over. Mark my words.

After hearing about it on past podcasts, that's on the shortlist of games that I'll fall for insane deals on.

Its that, but the main difference between multiplayer and singleplayer is that its funny when you lose.

Also the game will always make you wish you had 4 hands.

The original game has a wide variety of missions. Straight up assault, defense, stealth etc. Haven't played Red Tide but I heard its more singleplayer and super hard. Assault squad is pretty much MOW: Skirmish mode. Most of the maps are point-capture based tug of war dealies, very fun with friends, but kind of stressful solo. (Try the demo for assault squad before you buy). Vietnam is well... vietnam. I heard it was super buggy, its been a couple patches since then.

If you are undecided just grab the original game and give it a spin. It should give you a good idea of what MOW is all about and if you want to try more. Also you can come play multiplayer with me... please?

Coop stealth missions are something to behold.

Just curious but since I've already beaten Mass Effect on the console, what's the difference on the desktop? Higher resolution? Mods?

I realized that almost all the games on my wishlist are 50% off. While that's tempting, I know better. I'll hold out for 66% off or more, and if it doesn't happen during this sale, it surely will during the big sale a month from now.

Unfortunately I couldn't exchange the beholders for Steam games - they bite. Also freeze, paralyze, kill, levitate *nerd alert*, petrify, etc.

Kidding aside, I am showing my sad empty wallet when it comes to Steam games.

(Although I might get Orcs Must Die and a copy of Renegade Ops in a four-pack deal)

Oh, I thought you were trying to teach the beholders how to jump into your wallet or was that their feeding time

AWESOME! Game Sales!

Oh wait, I got a Mac now... Carry on, I guess I'll go to starbucks or something ;_;

It has the best game already installed on it, looking cool and pretending to write a novel in such starbucks.

I think you've pretty much covered it. Also, PC controls. Nothing is radically different, so I'd say the main draw is if you're thinking of playing ME3 on PC. (And, possible main repulsion: if you've already started buying ME2 DLC on console.)

You could write a Rails app to track the steam sale for the rest of us.

Oh look, sales... meh. Back to Battlefield 3

I need to get some sleep but if you manage to set this up and don't mind waiting a few hours I can send money or buy the pack in the morning. My Steam profile is here.

Thanks gents. It's sounding like I can leave this one off the pile but I'm downloading the demo to be sure.

Get the DLC too, it's like $1.25 more or something.

Hmm... Does it count as adding to the pile if you buy a game you already own?

Loved Jupiter Incident, one of the few real-time games I've had fun with. Wondering if it is worth $2.50 to not have to wonder where my discs went the next time I feel like firing it up.

I did. 5 and some change for a full game with DLC is a great deal. It falls nicely under my "cheaper than a Yuengling at a bar" rule.

Oh, I see that the Geneforge Saga is at $10. I know a bunch of people here were excited when it was $15. I'd rather not be enabled, but is it that good?

@tanstaafl - we own several games on steam just to not have to dig up discs. Go for it.
