Steam holiday 2011 sales chatter

Wow that deal for Orcs Must Die! was too good to pass up. I thought it was a mistake and bought it as soon as I saw it

Most of my wishlist is on sale except Wolfenstein

I really want to play that on PC. I love Raven so I'm sure I'll love it

OMD & Portal 2.
Now if Gabe would just invent time travel so I have enough time to play them.

orcs.

I'll add color coding to the discount columns, but the sorts are there already (separate tabs, at the bottom), so that should get you going for a while.

Color-coding is established. Also, reposting for the new page.

Thanks man, much appreciated!

Easy day to skip for me. Nothing there I have any interest in that I don't already own.

This should be enough to stop me. Should.

Then I remember my brother hasn't played ME2.
So who am I gonna blabber about ME3, with? My wife? HA!

Still looking at ME2, cursor circling around the "Add to Cart" like a vulture.

If only there was some kind of message board or community where people talk about games you could access instead.

Ok here we go:
$3.74 for Orcs Must Die? Budo Must Buy!
Not in limbo for Limbo. $5 ascends from my wallet.
Shogun 2: Rise of the Samurai DLC for $5? Hajime!
Space Pirates and Zombies will consume my $7.50.

Total Cost: $21.21 That's double blackjack and that, fellow goodgers, is double luck.

Wishlist games I'm tempted by:
The Witcher 2: It's $16 on Amazon right now, but I can wait for this one to drop (which it will) in the next couple of days. 33% off for $26.79 is still to high for a pile squatter.
The Sims: Medieval and the Pirates and Nobles Expansion for $15 each. Tempting, but I already own the original on Amazon, and I can gamble on 2 games that will just sit on the pile.
From Dust (-33%), Dead Island (-33%), and Warhammer 40K: Retribution (-50%) are all pile sitters. I can wait and won't mind if I miss out.

You seem to be missing a tag there.

This may sound lame, but I was hoping this was going to be one of those where the DLC for Train Simulator 2012 went on sale.

There are a lot of good deals but I have way too many games right now. I'll be busy with gaming for at least a couple months.

It looks like the entire Men of War franchise is 75% today. Any enabling/disabling for single-player (since my schedule rarely lets me commit to playing co-op... and I'm anti-social )?

$15 for Shogun 2 is tempting. I'll probably wait until the last day to see if it becomes a daily sale or not.

Picked up Orcs Must Die.

Tagging this thread for later perusals.

Yikes.

"C'mon wallet! Get up! Run! Run fer it!"

Renegade Ops - Is it good on Steam? Glitches, frame rate issues, anything like that? It's not like I've been burned by ports before.

Check the publisher catalogs too.
Looks like the Entire Paradox library is 60% off, so if you're looking for something to pad your pile, there's some great stuff there to not understand well enough to play. (I kid. But only mostly.)

Edit: Square Enix has a metric butt-ton of old Sega games for $1.50 each. That's only 6 quarters.

I'd bet ya a dollar Space Pirates and Zombies will be 75% off before this sale is over. Mark my words.

I thought that too, but that's not to big a deal for another $2, unless you're Lane Meyer from Better off Dead.

It works great, though I have to recommend a gamepad.

I'm not sure if hoping for more discount on SpaceChem is rude or just stingy. Either way, I'm not proud of that desire.

My biggest worry would be whether it's out yet or not.

Would anyone else be interested in joining me for a 4-pack of Renegade Ops? I'd be willing to coordinate if others were interested.

I'm changing as a gamer. I can feel it in my bones. I am more excited about Paradox's sales than any other publisher's.

I'll join ya.

OH God Civ V Vikings DLC for $3.34 why did I look WHY??

Stay away from Vietnam and the Russian campaign one. Both are punishing as hell in single player. Assault Squad is online focused. So ... I guess I'm saying the original is pretty good if you're playing alone.

*looks up from Skyrim to quickly scan the list, then turns back to The game*
