Fortnite

Would love to play with ya vypre, but I fear the time difference might be too much. I typically play around 9pm MST.

You can probably catch us throughout the day on the weekends. I often play for an hour or two in the morning and then fairly late in the evening. A lot of my time also depends on if someone else is on. I mainly play FortNite cooperatively. So, if no one else is on, I'll often be working on Nier Automata or some other backlog game. Just message me, if you see me and I'll pop in.

I'm pretty much all Save the World as well. I did a little BR and had fun. I'll probably revisit it at a later point, but the seasonal quest lines in StW have been keeping me occupied.

Todays patch notes had this:

Next Phase of Crossplay Improvements on Console
  • You can now add, remove, and manage Epic Friends from the main menu.
  • You can now send, receive, and respond to crossplay Party Invites.
  • Party Finder now includes Epic Friends on other platforms.

I'm not sure what that means for the different consoles. I'm still on PC, everyone is welcome to friend me up. I'm PL80 right now, and Eastern time, although I'll be out of town for the next couple of weeks.

It means that now I can find you from my PS4. That's something I couldn't do before. You would have to join me via my Epic username, which will still work, but now I can see you from my PS4 friends list. It is the single most-exciting thing in the patch, notwithstanding sprinting no longer spending stamina/energy.

I don't know about that - I'm only PL19, but I'm pretty stoked I'm no longer limited to material stacks of 99!

That is an amazing change, too.

I'll add you when I get home I added you while at "work". We can do the missions!

I’m in my first Fortnite queue. I guess the patch brought some folks in?

I like the hoverboard and sprint changes, but it's really cut into the utility of the Outlander.

Oooh, my account got locked! How fun.

There have been queues off and on for over a month now. I believe STW uses all of the same servers for authentication and game hosting that BR does. So, as that population grows, those of us on the STW side are handed the side effects of an increased server load.

Yep. I just hadn’t hit a queue before last night.

vypre, do you have the same epic screenname? Tried sending you a friend invite last night.

Exactly the same: “vypre” in all lower case.

That's what I sent it to. Have you seen it yet? If not, perhaps you didn't make an epic account and link it to your PSN account?

New guy here. Anyone interested in playing Fortnite Battle Royale together?
Fair warning: I've played many FPS years ago but now I consider myself a noob, especially with battle royale genre. Also, there is no guarantee I will be able to make time to play regularly. But I'm trying to get back in and have some fun.

Edit: PC platform

I think it was the latest update that now allows you to see cross-platform friends. Anyway, I accepted a Epic account invite from my PS4 last night. I think I recognized the username from our Destiny 2 clan, but it definitely wasn't "Peanut" or something of that nature. Was that you?

Hey all, coming out of deep GWJ hibernation to get in on some Battle Royal with goodjers. My EpicGames name is MisterDax, please feel free to add me! I'm adding myself to the Google doc now.

Aero and Dax: You'll get more responses if you tell people what platform you're on.

I suspect Dax is on PC, but still, it helps.

Does gaining levels in BR mode matter at all?

Not for gameplay purposes.

Might as well throw my name onto the Google doc as well. I'm still very new to Fortnite and I don't really play solo, but I've been pairing up with some friends to play Royale periodically. I'd be up for playing with some GWJers. I'm on PC.

It gives you cosmetic items, xp buffs and v-bucks - even without the battle pass.

Signing up for the battle pass gives you more stuff obviously and is super affordable (900 v-bucks I think), especially if you play the PvE mode.

If you buy the battle pass, you can earn all of your bux back and more. Assuming that you play enough games to make it most of the way through the season’s progression. Which honestly isn’t so hard to do.

Popping in here to ask because I don't know where else to ask...

Anybody else get an email today saying there had been a series of unsuccessful attempts to log in to your Epic Games account?

I haven't played Fortnite or any of Epic's other games (ha ha they don't have other games) in months, or started the Epic launcher.

Could be phishing.

It's definitely phishing and it's happening to a lot of people.

My account got locked for two hours the other day for this.

I had logged into Fortnite exactly twice, and had never played a single round of BR at the time.

Time to turn on 2 factor.

I've had that email 3 times now.

Correct! On PC! Add me! Sorry! Epic Games name is MisterDax

I have my PC back now and will be looking to play with folks. I just do StW (PvE) however, though my boys might win me over to BR.
