We named them before they were born and we knew what positions they were in so, when they came out, we had them straight.

And we can luckily tell them apart close up so we have yet to mix them up. Their weights are about 6 ounces off right now with Aria being heavier (she was also bigger before she was born but Esme is catching up). The trick to telling them apart is their ears, though. Aria keeps sleeping on her right side and her ear folds over giving it a bit of a point. It isn't obvious but that's a dead giveaway. Esme's ears stick to her head too but instead of folding over, they just smoosh right in and appear slightly smaller.

Parents notice these things =)

They also carry their weight a bit differently when you hold them.

Jenna insists that their eyes are different with Aria looking like me and Esme looking more like her. I think that's in her head, though. /shrug

Anyway, the take away here is that i'm a LOT less concerned about telling them apart now.

Just tattoo them with QR codes!

Or, less unsightly, NFC tag implants.

Too easy for a black market Cyber-Doc to get in there and switch them up while you aren't looking. And also add a bionic limb or three.

Can't see a single downside in that. Off the system, and extra limbs? Hell, yeah!

Glad to hear everything is going smoothly. I hope everything is starting to fall in to a nice routine that is manageable for the two of you. One has been a major adjustment for us, two well that is just more.

I can't believe I haven't been in this thread since July.

Well, I can sort of believe it. 2 of them is a lot of work =)

Aria: Looking intense while doing the same

Here are both of them. Aria (left) ended up with her face in her sister's armpit by the end of this picture series. Being the awesome parents we are, we let that happen instead of helping.

Cute!

Good stuff!

My son started trying to climb on me / pull himself up tonight trying to get to my iPhone when my parents called and it was on speaker. Must be a geek in the making if he's already willing to jump through brand-new hoops to get an Apple product.

So true!

The twins look great, Oily!

My son goes crazy over any tech gadget, including phones, game controllers, keyboards and remotes. Be careful, though. Our little guy shattered my wife's iphone screen one time when he had run off with it. The only thing that kept the glass together was the screen protector as some of the shards managed to shift around creating an uneven surface below that you could feel the shattered bits in.

They look awesome, despite your sh*tty camera. Come on guy, even over here in Third World Land we can get better resolution than that!

They really look cute

Yeah, iPad camera....

Cute pictures!!

Maybe you needed to turn on a light? I did not think iPads had that bad of cameras

Yeah, the grainy look is indicative of insufficient light. The camera upped the ISO to compensate for that, and that makes things look REALLY grainy. More light and the camera will take better pictures. Ideally, you'd open the aperture more to let the lower light levels in, but I doubt the iPad camera is that complex.
