Short week, short post:
Jets 13 - Tebows 17: Yeah, trying getting Tim benched at this point.
Jaguars 10 - Browns 14: Well, Cleveland may have shut this guy up for another week:
Panthers 35 - Lions 49: Detroit may have left the field with a W, but it sure wasn't a pretty one.
Buccaneers 26 - Packers 35: I think it's time we said goodbye to Tampa Bay's chances this year.
Bills 8 - Dolphins 35: Ditto to Buffalo's chances.
Raaaaaaaaaaaaiders 27 - Vikings 21: Messy game, including the injuries to Peterson and Heyward-Bey
Cowboys 27 - Redskins 24: Okay, that was a bit closer than I thought it was going to be.
Bengals 24 - Ravens 31: Ditto on this one.
Spoilhawks 24 - Rams 7: Not really a lot for Seattle to spoil here save for St. Louis' good mood.
Cardinals 7 - 49ers 23: San Francisco just has this weird way of bringing out the worst in their opponents. It's like they hired the Voodoo Lady from the Monkey Island series to cast hexes and curses.
Titans 17 - Falcons 23: Remember how last week I said Houston fans should be worried about Tennessee overtaking them? They should dial that worry back a tish.
Chargers 20 - Bears 31: Seems like very time I want to comment on a team's playoff chances, their quarterback gets sidelined for the year.
Eagles 17 - Giants 10: You know what I'd love to see? A picture of Vince Young Tebowing...with a bottle of tequila in one hand.
Chiefs 3 - Patriots 34: You know what? I think Rob Gronkowski has earned the right to pose with as many porn stars as he wants.
Week 12 Pick 'Em: Well, I stunk up the joint, but on the flip side we have MilkmanDanimal, Enix, and boogle sipping mai tais on Perfection Island. Here's the score:
My record: 2-3
And the year to date totals:
My record: 38-17
Your guys' record:
Not a lot of movement up and down the ranks this week, but that could easily change with this Thanksgiving-heavy crop of picks:
Packers at Lions: Earlier this season this looked like it could have been one of the best Turkey Day match-ups in history and end calls for Detroit losing the right to host it every year. Then...the wheels started coming off a bit and Green Bay started projecting an aura of invincibility. It'll be interesting, but I don't see this being the game that spoils Green Bay's shot at perfection. Packers.
49ers at Ravens: Now this is the game to watch and hopefully if you're stuck at someone's house who doesn't have NFL Network you're at least in the home market for the teams playing in the Harbaugh Bowl. Baltimore may be one of the top teams in the AFC, but they've been inconsistent, dropping games after big wins. On the other hand San Francisco travels well to the East Coast and like I said above they bring out the worst in their opponents. Niners.
Bears at Raaaaaaaaaaiders: As if you had to ask. No Jay Cutler? True, Matt Forte is one of the best running backs in the league, but Adrian Peterson used to be in that conversation not too long ago and look at what happened to him. Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaiders!
Giants at Saints: Can Eli Manning get his team back on track? Answer, no. Saints.
For my wild card, I'm taking the Patriots over the Eagles.
Enjoy the week and happy Thanksgiving, folks.
