NFL 2011 Week 10

Houston has a bye next week, and Jacksonville the following week. You've got a few weeks before you have to worry.

I'm trying to avoid panic mode until they release some more information about his injury, but it's tough.

Also: Herm Edwards cursed us on the radio this morning. He said the road to the AFC championship went through Houston, and Matt Schaub's foot exploded moments later.

Hey!

Houston was far from dominant in beating Jacksonville at home a couple of weeks ago. Unquestionably a game Jacksonville was in and had opportunities to win.

At home, and without Matt Schaub on the other side of the field, that game suddenly looks very winnable. The Jaguar defense is a top 5 defense this year. It's just the offense that's bottom of the league, but hopefully crawling out of that pit as Gabbert gets better.

The Texans have the 2nd-best rushing attack in the league and are top-5 in just about every defensive category. Jacksonville isn't going anywhere against the Texans.

Which wasn't very impressive against Jacksonville a few weeks ago. Arian Foster's 3.4 yards per carry didn't exactly set the field on fire.

They failed to dominate the Jags on their own field, with Schaub.. I wouldn't exactly hold my breath for a dominant effort on the road without him.

Adam Schefter is reporting Schaub will not return this year. OK, panicking is OK at this point.

Still unconfirmed, but wow, that sucks for you Texans fans. That's been a fun team to watch this year. Hopefully Leinart can step up and show something.

Well that is just heartbreaking for the Texans. On the other hand, everybody else in the world gets to watch this:

lead what SHOULD be the AFC's #1 team.

Vic Ketchman's live blog at Packers.com is up tonight. He's a great writer and offers some interesting insight, albeit from a GB perspective.

If you want to crown 'em, then crown their asses!

Packers not the Schaub news...

Honestly went to look up Houston to win the AFC this afternoon... Packers 49ners NFC game on the AFC side? uhhh any combination of the teams that make the playoffs?

It's time to bring back Carr.

After all the beating he took, he deserves to play on a Texans team that can actually pass block. (Well, except for Wade Smith).

And, the dumbest wildcard pick of the year is...
Vikings over Packers

I don't know why I made that pick but I just have a feeling.

Apparently, that feeling was just gas.

What? Roethlisberger's hurt? I thought it was Schaub that got hurt?

What's an AFC?

Hockey! Go Hockey!
Just stop raising the prices on the damn tickets!

The one thing that's weirdly comforting is that Schaub is very good, but not great. We had already lost two of our three best players, but Andre will likely be back by the time Leinart gets under center.

It's really sh*tty news, but it might not completely derail us. We'll see.
