Battlefield 3 Catch-All

I might reinstall...no long how it would take considering how many expansions have come out since release

I don't know, there have been many updates as well. My guess is that it will take at least 1.5 hours to download, installing is just a short wait after that I bet.

So I'm making the switch from PS3 to PC for BF4, and I just installed BF3 to get use to K&M controls again. I wondering if there is anyone still playing it. I don't really know anyone here. Any help pointing me in the right direction would me greatly appreciated. Thanks

I played for a couple hours yesterday. But the pre-load for the BF4 beta is on Sunday and it actually starts on Tuesday, so it might be hard finding a game of BF3 around here very soon.

Ya I guess Ill have to practice in the beta.

Oo good to know about the preload Sunday. Thanks for the heads up!

Jumped back in last night as the BF4 beta ended. Bit of a shock to get used to everything again. The mouse sensitivity was waaaay off too so it took some time to adjust.

Finally finished the MTAR assignment and got the 10 EOD bot equipment destroys. Far out that was painful. Also, I hate Jets. They are annoying in the hands of someone who really knows how to use them. Nothing you can do to prevent loads of deaths if they go unchallenged. Unfortunately they had 2 really good pilots on the enemy team and we were just screwed.

I really hope the BF4 has some sort of training area. How the heck are you supposed to get good at flying without anyplace to practice?

Me: Jump in jet. Take off. Bank so I don't leave map. Get shot down. Repeat.

I saw a developer interview that stated it would have a training area for all vehicles, including jets.

Favorite a low population server and go in when its empty. Last month there were lots of empty servers running Kharg and Caspian so you could spawn in a jet and fly as much as you wanted without being bothered.

Right, in BF3, I just would search for empty, unranked servers so that my deaths wouldn't mess with my stats.

But BF4 will definitely have training servers or tutorials. They've confirmed it several times.

I really don't understand how BF3 didn't end up with one, as BF1943 on console had a pretty decent training scenario, even if you had to go through all the bit of initial training every time even if you just wanted to get in and screw around.

If anyone is still playing BF3 on the PS3, send me a friend invite. PSN tag is 'Troland'.

They already do. Shooting range has all vehicles including flyers.

Heh, that post you responded to was prior to BF4 launch.

I occasionally pop in to play the vanilla maps. I don't have Premium on PS3. I'll friend you the next time I fire up the console.

Great. I only have the vanilla version as well.

Hopped back into BF3 for some capture the flag. I forgot how draining Battlefield is It didn't help that I seemed to be in a constant duel with a really great Attack Heli pilot (me with my stingers and in vehicles.) My main goal was to keep him away from the flag carriers though and that worked. While he was watching me die spectacularly (and occasionally going down in flames) we took three flags.

This is free on Origin right now.
