Minneapolis next year!

This would be amazing.

I suggest we move it to Chicago but not invite any of the Chicago meetup people :)

We would find you and our wrath would be terrible to behold.

A location change is not likely for next year. There are reasons, but not all of them are mine to divulge. We will have a different venue, though, at the very least.

For what it's worth, Westlake area is a pretty great location for me *ducks*

Ok, ok, ok, stow the talk about next year until I make the 2012 thread. Give us at least a month.

Sheesh. ;p

In other news, in case no one heard, we took in $630 for Child's play from the raffle; we made about $50 on shirts (surprisingly) I've got about $100 in the paypal account from late sign-ups and, assuming the hotel takes out the agreed amount and I get Mike paid back properly, we should have broken $1000 this year.

Nice job, folks. That will be pooled with the greater GWJ fundraising effort that's coming later.

Here we are!! Thanks to Cheeto for taking the photo...

Congrats to the blue team for being so amazingly awful at Halo. We actually pulled out a victory for 1 tournament!! We all know the truth about the stacked Red team... we are inner winnners on the blue team!

Yep. Blue ROCKS!!

I didn't play all the games, but I had so much fun... especially Mortal Kombat...(I think you ALL heard that) and BATTLESHOTS!! (that's MINE!!) I got a few extra points for being old and getting hit with a flying pen.

Oh yes!! Trader Joe's, new balance, Victoria's Secret... definitely a great location!

Seriously, I had such an amazing time!! Thanks so much HomelessGiant for teaching me Ascension... Must Have!! Awesome board and card games... Crazy fun with the fighter games!!

Quintuple post!

I posted a bunch of pictures to another Yogile photo account. The other Penguincon photo account was too full.

Penguincon 2011 Part 2

Feel free to edit the comments to include names, better descriptions, correct information, etc.

And yes the pictures are posted in reverse order of when I took them. So if you want some sort of chronological pattern start viewing the last page first.

P.S. Stay tuned for a deluge of pictures, everyone. I saw more cameras there than I felt comfortable with, considering the average BAC of the attendees.

Processing photos now.

edit: A selection of photos are now uploaded to the PenguinCon photo album. Apologies for the terrible low light/wide angle/tilted shot hijinks.

That's a damn good photo.

Pictures in the topic now

(thanks, SB, good call)

Easily my favorite of what I shot. Got really lucky catching doak in the frame like that.

Oh yeah. Penguincon 2011 was awesome. Wait did I already post this? When you post as often as I do you it's easy to forget what and when you posted. Anyway, it was awesome to put faces to the GWJ names. Brian, Mike, Dave and others I will criminally forget to mention, you guys put on a great show.

holy crap I forgot about this creepy little girl from the hotel lobby:

There was indeed a wide assortment of Cleveland Browns gear.

I get the distinct impression that the only correct answer to "What did you bring me?" in this instance is "The sacrificial blood of a martyr."

Do her eyes look a little reptilian?

Yes. Yes they do.

She looks like a young version of the bad chick from V the original tv series. Wow flash back.

We all did, Norfair....

We all did.

But Phish and his coffee stout took home prizes. I believe someone has a picture of him with them.
