Penguincon 2011: It was Fedorable

I made a note. Thanks, KG.

I'll begin laying the groundwork with the Mrs ASAP. I'm going to have to build some serious good will to leave her with with an eight month old.
This is certainly enough notice to plan a homebrew. I just got kegging equipment for my birthday so transporting large quantities shouldn't be a problem.

I will probably be making the trek up with some of the Cinci guys if we get that carpool going again this year.

We may need to organize a larger vehicle, but carpooling was a blast.

This is hyping me up too far in advance, we should do a mini-penguincon test run in May

Oh, also booze. The Last Night on Earth and booze. And maybe Faygo.

I like how every conversation he's involved in eventually turns into Cheeto: Sexual Predator.

Should I be concerned?

I was thinking this same thing.

Also, I hope I do not get a $125 speeding ticket on the way up this year!

Huh. You know, maybe we should?

But a real, actual event, not just board games? K. I think that can be arranged. PM me if you're an interested party (Big Daddy Phish is excused).

What is the nearest airport to this nameless city in Ohio and are there shuttles?

*Edit*
Oh, yah in the first post you name this magical C-town. Doh!

CLE (or possible CAK) and having shuttles depends on where we have the thing. If it is in Cleveland proper, then yes. If we do it farther South towards Akron (Fairlawn has a few hotels we might use) then possibly? It's also possible the hotel we have it in (if, in fact, we need to get a hotel) has a shuttle service.

I'm talking about something that doesn't involve a cloak

Sally, I may be making the trip, depending on if I get a job etc, so If so, running through Kansas City is not out of the question. That could facilitate a western carpool group.

Oily, last time I was in Cleveland, I was confronted with drunken anti-muslim ramblings.

Can you assure my that my cousin's brother in law will not be attending?

I would sign up for that newsletter. I think Benticore would be a St. Louis party member(based on his interest last year). I looked at roundtrip flights and they are looking a bit more than I can currently justify to the wife, but this sounds fun.

I sent out an email about doing something in May. If we keep it small, that shouldn't be a big deal. I'm worried we'll still end up with more people than my little place can hold but if the weather is nice we can do a lot of hanging out and cooking outside.

I'll make a thread for it once I figure out a date.

@KG: Yes? Do I know your cousin's brother-in-law? I can assure you that I don't associate with anyone blatantly anti-Muslim but I can't promise you any more than that.

My though is it is a rough but do-able one day drive from Norman, so I figure picking up people to alleviate costs would be kick ass.

I know we had a lot of really friendly guys up here last time. And the more they drank, the friendlier it got. Also, the less pants were worn.

I wouldn't worry too much about the racism part. Cleveland's no more racist than any other place unless you're Portuguese. And f*!# those guys, amrite?

In other news, I'm sure I can get free for MiniPenguinCon.

(Is Minipenguincon a Transformer or an ancient Persian ruler?)

Why can't it be both? I'll need a logo treatment, stat.

Dude, you bring the stuff from OK up to OH and sell at a profit. And not blow.

I'm in. You're PMed.

I can't promise anything material-wise until we're much, much closer to the dates, but I can help with anything planning-wise.

I can bring Pandemic (and hopefully by then I'll have the expansion) and Saboteur. Light games to warm up with or cool off with, I think.

Sure, I'm in. Would definitely enjoy another carpool, too.

Oh yeah, I can carpool too.

I want to pimp out the Rock Band room even more with pro instruments. I'll gladly help with some things remotely.

My biggest suggestion of how things should be different from last year.

We need a keg. Or two. Or three.

I'll be in contact.

We'll sort it out this time to stop the Michigan redundancy!

Or CONVOY!

Tagged for the future madness.

The game is afoot!

I really hope to attend this time around, as long as it's not on the day of our mutual birthday, hehe. If I would be gone that day, my family would never forgive me.

Rest assured, I have every intention of not having it on our birthday (I'm shooting for the week before) but if it happens, at least we get 2 days of gaming in before our families expect us to be anywhere.

Time will tell. I plan on working this out with Certis and Hedge towards the beginning of March.

Also, the thing in May now has a thread.
