Any interest? I'm not sure how many Goodjers are in Toronto or nearby. I imagine it'd be pretty simple to find a place that would take a large group in afternoon and let us play games while we consumed delicious Canadian micro-brews. (I understand that these are the primary elements of a Slap and Tickle... please correct me if I'm wrong here.)
I'm happy to call around and find a place if there is enough interest.
I might be interested while my wife and kids are away in November. I do live 2.5h North of TO, but have a few options of places to crash.
I'm always looking for a reason to hit the city.
Also, if I come I'm happy to bring homebrew... by the keg
EDIT - Just read the thread title and realized you meant on International GWJ Day.
What's International GWJ Day?
EDIT: Cursory glancing through the site answered this for me.
Sign me up. The last one of these we tried to organize, I think we managed to pull in like 4 people! =)
If we end up needing a decent amount of space, C'est What is always a decent option.
I would certainly be interested, but that particular day may not work for me. A slightly more important event may be going on that day.
I'm likely in if I don't get called to work.

Sacrilege! Move the wedding!
Yeah, scratch my ability to attend as well. I'll be in Niagara.
TOTALLY down for a different day though.

How did you... oh! n/m
Suits me. IGWJD is just a scam by the greeting card industry anyway.
Well, we can always plan for a different day. After all, our Thanksgiving is already different than those nuts south of the border; we can just have Canadian Goodjer Day at a different time. Well, Torontonian Goodjer Day. :)
What's that? Toronto thinking they're fancy enough to do their own thing? Getta outta town!
I'd definitely be up for finally meeting some of the local GWJers.
Yeah - I came out to the small one we had a couple years back and that was good fun. I'd be in for another some time.
You people just need to join us in Cleveland.
CLEAR!
I think we missed IGWJGJGGD, but shall we revive this idea? My parent are visiting this week, and I've got a Thanksgiving thing on Sunday, but Monday is a holiday! Alternatively, we could do something with more than 4 days notice.
Oh jeez. Some day I will learn to read. =P
I'm out of town for Thanksgiving, but I'm game for the original date of Oct 15th. In fact it turned into a desirable date to do this, for me.
Well, that's three for the 15th. I'm game for a beer. Anyone else? Should one of us call around and see if we can find a bar/pub/restaurant/et cetera?
C'est What? was suggested, and I think we'd be foolish to overlook Snakes and Lattes, though I think the latter doesn't serve alcohol, which is a strike against it. :)
They actually do have some bottled beer there. I can't join on the 15th, but you guys should do it and get some momentum going so I can come next time.
I was around for (and actually instigated) the meagre TO get-together a few years back. (4D and necroyeti were the other miscreants.) I can't make the 15th, sadly, but am happy to see there's some renewed interest. Please ensure that you're all adequately entertaining on the 15th so that there's interest in a subsequent gathering!
I've recently moved back to Toronto and would love to meet some fellow fans.
Snakes and Lattes is great. It's on a subway line, insane selection of games. Perfect.
I'm available on the 15th and would be amenable to beer and/or boardgames.
I'll try and see if The Judge wants to join us.
I think I can make it to something on the 15th.
I'm down as a maybe. I'm on call for work most of the time, and weekends are usually busy. I might get lucky and be able to swing the night off.
