Recruiting done. I should get my game in before the end of this week.

What is the sound you hear at Michigan games?

Oh wait, you mean we're NOT playing Jeopardy? My bad

When the league is reset, Michigan requests a game with Rutgers.

Good, with a baby on the way, I could use all the sleep I can get

I should be fired for that performance. First, I let the game get away, down 35-7 before a last second TD let me get to the half down 35-14. It was dismal. Worse, I threw 4 picks, and every one of them was just dumb.

But I amped up the defense, picked up fumble for a TD, stopped throwing picks, and rallied to 35-28. I left everything set to Aggressive, and it burned me when Nebraska hit a bomb to up 42-28. But I hung in, still stopped throwing picks, weathered my QB being out for a couple of series, and tied the game at 42 with just over 2 minutes left. We traded drives in which we could not get into FG range.

Nebraska has the ball with less than :30, and decides to air it out. I not only sack the QB, but I strip the ball, recovering the fumble at the 23. With so little time left, I did not like my chances for a 40 yard FG, so I tried to pick up some yards. I had a time out, but I decided to throw it. I threw on incompletion, and then bam, Davis threw his 5th INT of the day, snuffing out my attempt at a game winning FG.

We traded TD's in the first OT. And then I held Nebraska to a FG. But on my first play, my WR fumbles the ball, and my game was over. Worse, I think it might have been able to be overturned, but the game glitched the screen. I could see the Challenge option, but it was off-center form the rest of the menu. I tried exiting and going back, but the game ended, SMU losing 52-49.

More importantly, how were the new sliders?

Sounded like a good game Jayhawker, I give you a lot of props for coming back down 28 pts!

I will give it a run tonight hopefully.

Thanks. Still kicking myself for not finishing that game off. Throwing an INT while FG range in a tie game with 10 seconds left is pretty much grounds for termination.

I had the HB break off one huge run on me. They ran a lot on my in the first half, but I felt like it was contained. They ran well, but it wasn't to the house over and over again. The QB scrambled pretty well on me, too. Personally, it felt fair.

When I went all aggro, as in setting every single defensive gameplan item to aggressive, it helped a ton. Nebraska did not move the ball for crap in the second half. Again, I should have been more intelligent. The bomb they threw for TD was on third and 14, and I should have gone conservative. All I needed was the ball back, not a turnover.

I had gotten to where I could run out of the shotgun okay, but it sure wasn't there in this game. Facing bigger DLs makes it really hard. My HB broke off a couple of good runs, but was mostly stood up for losses. It's part of why I threw the ball late, as I did not expect my HB to get anything.

Alright, UCLA...when you want to visit Joan C Edwards and see what my team is capable of at home (week 4 is my first home game btw everyone) Sunday works for me, as does Friday. Tomorrow I am moving and getting Tickets and Saturday I am going to the Bills @ Broncos preseason game (woot).

Hansome wont be back until Monday. I wont hold you guys to the deadline if you can't get it in by Wednesday

Michigan 37
UNC 20

Running attack was on while my passing game struggled. Accuracy issues mostly. A lot of badly thrown balls.

These sliders seem pretty good though. They offer some challenge without coming off as cheap. The running back broke some arm tackles but didn't seem to escape easily when hit solidly. UNC's stud WR broke some big plays which is to be expected.

Michigan State gets in the win column, beating #5 Boise State 38-24.

The sliders seem much better. The RBs still probably are a bit too tough, but nothing crazy. Also, no picks in my game despite several balls (on both sides) being thrown right to defenders. It's probably something to keep an eye on (along with human catching).

I had a few dropped ints in my game as well.

I threw five picks. Please do not increase the CPU pick ability.

Good game Counselor. Glad to see you in in the win column.

Leave the CPU where it is, you could even turn it down a tick. I say increase Human picks by 10-15

Here are a few of my thoughts. Can we have 14 team conferences instead of sixteen? I do not have a good reason other tan it might help with conference games. Also not saying one conference is better than the other, but after the season is over the top 3 teams in each conference get put together for the next season. Again no really good explanation other than making it tough for anybody to repeat season after season unless they are the best of the best.

I can do that, I have no problem with 14 team conferences.

I feel that if I increase human picks, you're going to see 4-5 picks per game. I may even it out to 40-40 (Human-CPU), but I don't want to raise it more than that. It's college football, you're going to have dropped picks. Yes, some of them look like really easy picks, but I noticed it goes both ways with that, and rather than turn up the accuracy on QBs, and have the computer go 15 for 17. I'd rather see 4-5 easy Ints dropped, and have it plainly be a "pass defensed".

That sounds good.

I will say this though, it's annoying if you're playing a school that is lower ranked than you (IE, Michigan vs Buffalo) and you drop 4-5 picks. Those games I feel the picks should be higher, as opposed to a Mich/ND matchup.

Week 4 Games:
UCLA (HansomB1derful) at Marshall (ZellbrigeN)
Michigan (LeroyOG) at North Carolina (XBox): Michigan wins 37-20
Michigan State (The Counselar) at Boise State (XBox): Michigan St wins 38-24
Notre Dame (firesloth) at Southern Miss (XBox)
Florida State (XBox) at Rutgers (Kush15)
Nebraska (XBox) at SMU (JayhawkerGWJ): Nebraska wins 52-49
Tennessee (shag26) at Cincinnati (XBox)
USF (Omega Girr) at Illinois (XBox): USF wins 42-28

OPEN WEEK:
Northwestern (shonuff270)
TCU (Big Hoppa)

WEEK 4 DEADLINE: Wednesday, August 24th @ 7am ET

Well Notre Dame was just asking for it.

as opposed to a Mich/NU matchup.

FTFY :)

And I FTFY sir

So my slider report, for my offline Georgia dynasty. I really liking these adjustments. Just finished a match-up of #2 Auburn at #9 Georgia, managed to pull out a 27-12 win thanks to my defense and turnovers.

Auburn managed 9 broken tackles on 35 run plays with my defense set to conservative for tackling and strips. I can't imagine facing them on the previous set, Michael Dyer would've killed me.

I went bend don't break and gave up 389 yards of offense but didn't surrender a TD to the Tigers. Auburn ran 68 plays to my 38 and there defense held me to 181 yds of total offense.

Player of the game. Junior CB Sanders Commings with 6 solo tackles, 6 assists, 3 tackles for loss, and two pick sixes.

Love Road to Glory:

-Calling all run plays (including audibles) down 14 in the 4th quarter
-Calling all WR streaks on the 4 yard line
-Calling all passing plays on 2nd and 3rd and short

In OT in one of my games, I scored a TD, kicked the PAT, and the offense came back out when the opposing team was supposed to have the ball to try to tie the game. Allowed me to run a draw, and called the game a final, like I had intercepted a pass or something. Road to Glory could should be so much better.

LOL! The play calling and coach smarts are very bad in R2G

ND beats Southern Miss. 24-21. I played a practice game yesterday afternoon and spanked them...I was up 42-3 in the third when I shut off the machine. Last night...well, it didn't go quite as well. I gave up two long second-half TD drives during which I could do little to stop them. Thankfully my kicker booted a 51 yard FG on the opening drive of the game, otherwise things might have gotten hairier.

My starting HB, Chris Weber, ended the night with about 166 yards. I ran ~38 times compared with 23 passes. Sounds about right.

Two games left, one is Hansome vs Zellbrige (Hansome should be back, let me know when you guys can play)

I have a softball game tonight (playoffs) and will play my game when I get home tonight.

Hansome, I can play tomorrow night after 11pm or thursday after 10pm...or Friday after 7pm. Thats it...All times are in Eastern
