Well done Vancouver!
Bring it home, baby. And, should you be facing Boston, bring it home with a vengance. A hard, humiliating vengance.
Oh man, am I ever hung over. Ouch. Well, I have no choice now but to root for Vancouver. I always say that if you're going to lose, lose to the champ.
Linesman missed the icing call at the end of regulation. Vancouver got 2 great breaks. That and the most confusing game winning OT goal ever. Everyone on the ice except Bieska did not know where the puck was.
Gratz Vancouver. Been the most consistent team all season long.
I am now rooting for Boston. They have my main man Big Z as capitan.
Peeked at a copy of the Province while at lunch. Higgins, when asked about the winning goal, said "Set play"

As a Detroit fan, I was rooting like hell for Vancouver to beat San Jose

If I had more money than sense, I would get a jersey that said STANCHION with the number |.
Grats to Boston fans, who would have thought it would be a game with one goal?
Dear Vancouver Canucks,
I know I haven't really talked to you lately. I guess I'm not a huge fan. But I was in BC in '94, and was pretty bummed when the Canucks lost, so that counts for something, right? Plus I've always liked your blue and green jerseys, and I think the Sedins are pretty cool and stuff.
Anyways, I was hoping, if it's not too much to ask, to, you know, just, absolutely devastate the Bruins. I mean humiliate them. I mean, 4 game sweep, 10-0 games. Make them question their desire to play the game of hockey. Make their kids have to explain to their friends how their fathers choked impossibly, embarrassingly hard at the apex of their sport. Please? For me?
Thanks.

The time has come to make a favourable reference to Vancouver in the house of Goodjerdom.
Go Canucks.
I'm trying to get tickets to game 5. I already am going to 2 & 7.
With the Tampa Bay Stevie Y's out of the picture...Go Canucks!
Go Nucks... don't disappoint me like some of the other teams have
Anyone else watch the Memorial Cup final? It was a good game. St Johns deserved to win, but Mississauga put up a good fight.
What happens to the actual Manitoba Moose now?
I don't see anything about them being called the Moose. In fact, that article says the name has yet to be determined. As to where the Moose feeder team will play, I imagine they can find another arena or will also be relocated.
Move them to St John's?

From an older article from March, I think the mayor was saying "If there's a team, it's the Manitoba Moose."
It's still up in the air. Popular pressure is very strong to have them named the Jets.
I loved the old Jets uni's. Hope they keep it.

How about Atlanta?
I'm still not convinced that Winnipeg is viable over the long term when the US economy recovers and their dollar starts to strengthen. The city is already 40% smaller in GDP/population than the next smallest NHL city and a weaker dollar would really hamper the ability of management to field a competitive team. Toronto (in the Ballard years) seems to be the only market that is able to sustain demand for tickets with a crappy team over a 5+ year period; even Montreal in the late 90s/early 00s had a drop-off in attendance and the Jets weren't selling out before they moved to Phoenix.
People do seem to be excited and the team does have some quality players among some bad ones (though the management has been terrible... would have been much, much better off with the Coyotes). If there's enough money to spend closer to the salary cap than the midpoint between cap and floor the team could be pretty good in 2-3 years, though playing in the Western Conference will hurt.
In order to get my workplace into the canucks spirit we painted the front window.
After we painted the window we had a few staff members concerned that the NHL/Canucks would get mad at our infringment on copyright. (remember that Honda Dealership?http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2011/05/honda-dealer-forced-to-remove-vancouver-canucks-logo-from-showroom.html).
For the record I work at a Non-profit Child Development Centre that works with kids that have disabilities and developmental delays. I hope the NHL tries to file a lawsuit, the newspapers would love to hear about it.
I think your safe. :p

Boston played their most disciplined hockey, and it could have gone either way anyways. An incredible series.
@ Atlanta / Winnipeg, it seems that Hartford will never get another shot at an NHL team...
Absolutely hilarious.
