Are you enjoying being able to game, since Mrs Paleo is in another state?

She figures it keeps me unattractive to local women I guess. Sort of like deer spraying the bushes.

It seems like it would be good on a tablet, everything is a bit small on my S2.

So this totally snuck up on me.

Frozen Synapse Prime.

Looks like a revamped version of Frozen Synapse. Interesting.

That looks pretty amazing. The new options (Slide, room selection etc.) look great. I don't know about the graphical choice...but I'm partial to Frozen Synapse's look.

Yeah, I'm not sure I'm sold on the look. There was something about the old blueprint look of Frozen Synapse that gave it so much appeal.

The original style is truly stylish. It's not surprising when you see that Mode 7 have a TV graphics background. http://www.mode7games.com/content/ab...

The new game looks to be an outsourced spin-off, so that would explain the wandering art style.

Hello,

Frozen Synapse Prime Out Today!

We're proud to announce that our friends at Double 11 are launching Frozen Synapse Prime, their reimagined version of Frozen Synapse, on Steam today.

If you already own Frozen Synapse, we would like to say thank you and give you the opportunity to get 50% off Prime, should you feel like giving it a go. The easiest way to do this is to give you a Steam coupon for the game: it should be in your Steam inventory right now ready for the game's release at 10am PST / 6pm GMT today!

These coupons will be valid until November 21st.

Double 11 are a highly respected studio: they started off by working on LittleBigPlanet titles for Sony and have recently been responsible for acclaimed PC versions of the Pixeljunk titles. Frozen Synapse Prime has been their baby: we gave them full creative control to make something unique based on the original game. This isn't a port or an update to the original: they've made this version from the ground up to be something a bit different.

I think the Frozen Synapse community will particularly like the 3D outcomes: when I asked on Facebook for what you lot would most like to see in a reworked FS, that came top of the list!

If you'd like to have a look at some of the new features and differences from the original game, please visit the Steam store page here:

http://store.steampowered.com/app/32...

We hope you enjoy Double 11's work! We can't answer any questions about Prime but if you do have them then please ask Double 11 here:

So I got the coupon, but didn't see a buy button. I'm confused and sad. (Well, the sad has nothing to do with this, which makes me sad. der.)

It's there now, for me at least. List price is $24.99, currently showing a 15% discount to $21.24. I don't know whether that latter stacks with the coupon or not.

Reviews seem to be kinda mixed on it, with most of them (even some of the good ones) saying to stick with the old game if you have that one already. Put me in the camp of "I really liked the look, gameplay and ambiance of the original, so I don't really need an update" camp.

Room for one more? The more I look at it, the more I like the original.

Bleh. I was hoping to have something small and genre breaking to split up my Valkyria Chronicles and DragonAge:Inquisition playing. But now...
