Good luck to everyone this week!

FIre...............

you ready to do this!?!??!?!?!??!?

Check out the last highlight Shag posted. This turned out to be the play that ultimately decided the game. That's a load of crap, and it was a 4th and 15 on 36 yard line.

holy sh*t, are you serious?!?! Poor Shag

Going to play my first full game with sliders (spent a lot of time playing RtG). Of course, this is a practice game, I am not ready for UNC. That will be tomorrow

Oh, that is brutal!! It bounced off the guy's back!

That's a tough loss, Shag. I lost in a similar fashion in last year's Madden game against the Cardinals, but that play was basically a Hail Mary tip drill executed to perfection. Your's was just plain bad luck.

Well, Navy just ripped me a new one. I had a terrible first quarter, followed by an even worse 3/4 of a second quarter, and I was suddenly down 28-0, on my way to a 35-21 loss.

I finally started passing the ball pretty well, but 4 INTs undid a lot of progress I could have made in a comeback. It didn't help that my best WR dropped a sure TD pass that would have brought me to within seven points in the third quarter.

Mainly, Navy ran at will (so much for the CPU not being able to run the option. Sheesh!) and was able to burn me with passes when I over-committed. Pretty frustrating since I had beaten Navy handily a couple of times while preparing. I didn't see this coming at all.

I beat Nebraska in a Play Now game, too. Now I'm even more worried about what the Cornhuskers are going to do to me.

Yes that was brutal. I was stunned. Now if I can only play my first and 4th quarters like I do my second and third, I will be good.

Yup! Sunday or Monday night late work for you? 11 pm is the best start time for me, if you're available that late.

Tomorrow 11pm works for me.

I think it looks like completion %'s are pretty low across the board. Anyone have thoughts on whether it is more user error, QB accuracy, or the ability of receivers to catch the ball?

I'm thinking user error right now as we are all adjusting to super DB's and LB's :p

Not the receivers. I haven't seem them really dropping things. I'm definitely having more troubles adjusting to the coverages. The deep safeties, in particular, have a lot more range than last year.

for me, its the qb accuracy...he is overthrowing a lot....then about 1 for every 4th pass is dropped...but then again...I dont have the best players so...that might just my team

Rutgers starts off the 2011 season with a win over North Carolina, by a final score of 17-7. Rutgers was very dominant on defense, and aside from a 4th quarter, 60 yard pass (this thing traveled 65 yards in the air, I guess UNC has a VERY accurate QB, since the coverage was there), Rutgers held UNC's offense in check. Joey Meyer led the offense on 11 of 19 passing, for 133 yards and 2 TDs. Rutgers was able to march down the field on their first 2 drives of the afternoon, but that was pretty much it offensively. A couple of missed blocks and dropped passes prevented Rutgers from really opening up the scoring today. Rutgers will travel to face Navy in Week 3.

Remaining Games:
Notre Dame (firesloth) at Michigan (LeroyOG)
Marshall (ZellbrigeN) at Stanford (XBox)
Michigan State (The Counselar) at Penn State (XBox)
Pittsburgh (XBox) at Northwestern (shonuff27)

I believe Notre Dame/Michigan will kick off later tonight.

Looks like I will be able to re-structure the conferences each off-season. Something to look in to as we get closer to Bowl season.

Jay, for me, it's been user error and not being used to some tweaks in the mechanics. I tried some lobs in the flats and they sailed out of bounds because I was pressing the "lead" stick I believe. When my backup came in he did over throw some receivers, but I was holding for a bullet, and that is to be expected with a young QB coming in off the bench. In some of my offline games with our sliders, I have gone 18/25 against good teams with a less than stellar QB because I was patient and didn't force things (or throw a lot of picks).

And Kush, that is a cool feature, we can change up the Bowl games if we want to see something new at the end of the seasons.

Fire and I just got booted near the start of the second.

0-0 but he was driving deep

Bummer...

Good luck to you both!

Game done.

Michigan 30
Notre Dame 0

Notre Dame's QB completed 6 passes to the Wolverines. Notre Dame's offense just couldn't get going. Good field position on turnovers for Michigan won the game.

I had one int that I uploaded because it was just such an awesome play on my part. Firesloth will disagree lol. I was the left end in the play, I started to pass rush and then fell back to play zone, I saw the player coming across the middle went as quick as I could and made the over the shoulder INT. I literally lol'd when I caught it because I know it was so ridiculous. But on the other hand, I did make the adjustment to get into position to make the play. So kudos to me and the crazy programming that went into this game.

I'm pleased by this.

Also, I'll play my game Monday night, most likely. The girlfriend is going out of town this week, so I'll have plenty of time to get some gaming in.

I believe that would leave Shonuff left as the only other game. Firesloth and Hansome leave Friday, I would like to roll before then to give them time to play their week 3 games. We can then roll to week 4, and wait to roll until they get back. Pretty much took us 1 week to get 2 sim periods in, and that included 3 HvH games. Nice work guys!!!! Pats on the back for everyone!!!!

I'll play my game sometime tonight. Not looking forward to playing the super cpu.

It's only Pittsburgh, though I know you'll have a tougher time now that Shag's no longer the coach.

When I made that crazy int and you hit pause, I couldn't stop laughing at the blind ass luck that it was.

I got spanked.

Leroy, I feel better about that play if you were controlling the player. I didn't recognize that (either while the game was going or looking at the replay).

Both of us traded do-nothing drives at the very beginning, then I had a long one that put me inside the Michigan 10. My offense was doing great things. I threw an INT on a ball that went nowhere near my WR (although he was probably blanketed). After that, everything changed. I'm not sure my HB got many more carries after that, as I think I only had one more complete series.

I completed more passes to Michigan players than to ND players. I didn't adjust well to the leaping LBs and wide-ranging safeties. There was one play where I caught Michigan in a 1-5-5 against a 4-WR set. His players were mainly up at the LoS, so I audibled into a deep pass. My WR was WIDE open for a 20 yard pass, but the pass was deflected by an LB 5 yards deep...but he had a CB/safety another 5 yards behind him that made the same jumping move, so had the LB not gotten it, the safety would have!

Okay, need more practice...

Yeah, that was the story of my game... And I wasn't in a laughing mood at that point!

I figured you were a little agitated by that point. It was your fourth int(second in a row) and it was pretty miraculous. At least the other INTs weren't total garbage as all the passes were right at my players.
