Elysium's Surgery - Final Update on Sunday 7/24 - Safe At Home.

Ok, I've been firmly planted in the scientific camp.
The reason for wanting to see the monitor is because if you're being scoped and you don't see the monitor, you're insulated from the diagnostic part of it. You feel like a victim. Experienceing the diagnostic information, you can gain some vicarious association with the scientific part of the procedure.

Saw some recent stories in a body building magazine about an IFBB pro who went on to compete after heart surgery. I'll have to look that up. Seemed inspirational to me, but then again, I haven't the foggiest about what the emotional consequences of being the patient are.

He mentions the scar at 7:30

Be sure not to put off the meeting with the representative of S.H.I.E.L.D.

And if Nick Fury walks into your life, be sure to ask to see if his wallet says Bad Muthaf*cka on it.

Please be aware there might be restrictions on your recovery (note: replace "broken back" with "heart surgery").

Hey, hope everything is going ok man, good luck =)

I was thinking about your operation and I remembered a guy I knew, he was in the military some decades ago, and he was betrayed by a corrupt soldier who attacked him when they were alone in some guard mission at night.

He was going to die, but a local doctor saved his life by operating on him to remove some bullets or something. I don't remember the details, but he said at one point his stomach was open and he had to hold his guts in his hands because it was just him and the doctor, he fainted for a second and when he came back, his guts were on the floor. They kind of washed them off and put them back in, and the guy lived for a long time after that, when I met him he was 55.

I thought it was a funny story... I'm sure you'll be fine : )

edit: That guy is in jail now, now that I remember

I admit, my brain keeps inserting "plastic" before "surgery" in the title. I trust your new manboobs are healing well!

Lol, leave it to Mex to tell some sort of encouraging story that ends with the patient being in prison. Enjoy your future stay in lockup, Elysium

I haven't weighed in, not that the words of a base lurker matters much, but best of luck Big E. Get better soon.
