I'm tempted to buy Dragon Age: Inquisition because of its fantastic releases so far, but have concerns about whether it'll hamstring me from playing it the same way ME3 keeps telling me I can't play it because of X (usually connecting with EA servers). Not playing the game at all seems an option at this point, but I think I'll wait for more gameplay footage or maybe even substantially after the game release.
It's unfortunate, but simply put, if you have problems with the Origin client, you'll have problems with any game that requires it.
So regarding DA3, your only viable options given your prior experience are to either get it on a console or skip it entirely.
I'll wait for the PS4 version and hope it doesn't require online BS.
Wing Commander III is now free on Origin!!
Aww, man! I don't want to install Origin again! I was doing so well without it this year...

Time to ask yourself if installing Origin is worth $6

You mean if skipping Origin is worth $6? If I had a flightstick: yes. But I don't (right now-- we'll see how that works out when Elite Dangerous gets a full release), so I'm probably safe from spending the lunch money OR installing Origin
Also, Battlefield 4 is free this week. I was disappointed with how much time I wasted waiting for servers to load. Way worse than BF3, which I swore off BF games after that terrible experience with never finding good servers / getting into them in a timely fashion. It was the norm to wonder what was going on before the game finished loading into the server. It was seriously frustrating, and it wasn't even as if my hard drive was killing itself.
Anyone else have Origin password problems?
Grrr....

I haven't tried logging in in awhile, but did they destroy their allowed password special characters? I f***ing hate that. Many banking and email websites have been doing that this year. *pukes*

They recognize my email and let me reset my password, but then don't accept the password...and if I want to solve the problem, I can either log in to my account and log a ticket, or give them my cellphone #. Yeah, EA, I really trust you with my cell #.
I seem to remember stupid administrative stuff was the reason I swore off EA/Origins last time.
Has anyone tried out the new chat rooms thing? Does it let people not in your friends list into a chatroom if you allow it? I started one called Donuts are Delicious as a test, but no-one was online.
Just noticed the following email in my inbox:
In the coming weeks your Origin Account will be renamed to an EA Account to better represent all of EA's games and services. Your account identity, preferences, and order history will remain unchanged.
Is anyone else amused that they're going back to just "EA Account" after 4 years?
Who can keep up anymore. I just found out Direct2drive name is back after being GameFly for a few years.

Wait, they changed that from D2D?
