Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team Catch All

Just announced today.

Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team preview at IGN.

Looks like it will be a third person XBLA/PSN title for about $10. Highlight list so far:

- Local co-op (not sure about online co-op).

- Choose either ranged or melee characters with upgradable weapons.

- Playing through the first chapter will unlock the power sword for the upcoming Space Marine game.

I'll be picking this one up as soon as it launches. Looks like a nice fun title for $10.

I am definitely in on this, too.

Looks fun. I might bite.

$10? co-op? WH40K? Blow sh*t up?

I'm so in.

Relic is really getting the most out of their DoW2 tech.

$10 and Tyranids? I'm in. Termies would be cooler though.

At a $10 price point this is a definite release day purchase for me. Definitely hoping it includes online coop though.

Love the premise, love the setting, looks great too, sold!

If THQ makes this free via PS+ like they did with RF: Battlegrounds, then I'll be sold as well.

Hmmm...just read that the studio doing this was shut down by THQ

apparently this is on xbla now...anyone have impressions or know when it's coming to psn?

I believe it is coming out tomorrow on XBLA.

I'll be picking it up, and will post impressions when I can.

ah my bad. I am a filthy skimmer.

Man, I am so down to burn xenos and heretics in the name of the Emperor. But from what I can tell, this sucker's couch co-op only. Gonna have a hell of a time enlisting my wife in my Chapter.

That is unbelievable, and I hope incorrect! That is a perfect live co-opportunity!

To me, brothers!

Emperor's teeth, I hope not. Especially if the dev team has already been disolved. It's highly unlikely we'd get a patch to add it in without them.

Man, this was on my day 1 purchase list and now I don't know if I want it.

Heresy, heresy EVERYWHERE!

Yeah, there is no online co-op; only local.

It's a big disappointment with this game. I'll still pick it up, but the lack of online co-op is a pretty big black mark against it.

Bah, local co-op only reduces this from a must-have day 1 purchase to something I'll wait to be on sale at 50% off. So sad, guess I'm sticking with Dawn of War for my WH40K fix.

This might be fun for my sons and I for some split-screen coop. I see its got four classes(?). Too bad it doesnt support more than 2 simultaneously for the local coop play.

I downloaded the game this morning and plan to give it a whirl tonight. I'll report back when I can, battle-brothers.

Please do!

Oh, I didnt realize it was already available. hmmm.

I'm not a 40k fan, but a few of my friends are, so it was going to be day 1 for me. Lack of online co-op? Not interested now. Ms Splosion Man gets my 800 spacebucks.

Just finished playing 4 levels co-op. SO FUN. Huge sigh of relief, brothers. If you're even remotely a 40k fan, you'll be pleased.

But lack of online co-op is a major misstep. Interestingly, the game seems perfectly set up for 4-player online co-op, although you can only play 2-player offline. So I'm forced to wonder if those features were intended but cut due to lack of time or funding.

Yah, that makes me super sad it is only couch co-op! My wife would probably play with me, but she goes to bed by 9 and we can't play before the baby goes to bed. Grrrr.

I am disappoint.

Played the trial, kind of on the fence about this; it's not bad, but also nothing that screams "you got to get this" to me.
I also went and grabbed the trial for xbla torchlight and despite having sunk 60+ hours into the pc version of that, playing that on the console seemed more appealing than Kill Team.
Didn't end up buying either though.

There is no way I could pass this up. Seeing it from afar at E3 I thought it looked too colorful and not 40K-ey enough, but the walkthrough video looked pretty great.
