It's silly because I can't stop giggling when I'm riding this thing. And it's got a top speed comparable to all those scooters y'all are talking about hehe.
a neighbor of mine is out all summer on a very similar bike. He seems to always have a smile and helmet on.
Have fun with the new gadget.
It was delivered.
Did some quick A-B testing with DAC + Amp vs normal USB-C to analog + Amp vs my normal setup and final verdict is: I have zero regrets.
My family insisted on helping me with the A-B test and every. single. one. broke into a stupid grin when the bass kicked in with the DAC + Amp hooked up.
I like.
Wasn't much of a reader as a kid but any time we went to our elementary school library I would be pouring over these World of the Unknown books. Each page has some nice artwork of the monsters, ghosts or ufos (some nice drawing of planes/jets in the that one). These are accompanied by little "factoids" or a story about the artwork.
When I saw these books were re-released, I had to get them. Took several weeks for each to arrive but got the entire collection. Paging through them I immediately recalled some of the specific artwork. It's been a real treat reading a page or two a night right before bed.
I used to love reading Weekly World News.
Thank you, Crawley. I have some great memories of reading through these as a kid, and I ordered the re-releases immediately after reading your post. Hoping my son will get just as much enjoyment out of them.

So a couple of curiosity questions:
What section of the library were these originally cataloged in?
What section of a library would they be cataloged in today?
Man. I vaguely remember these when I was a kid in grade school. There was a waiting list to check them out of the school library!

Libraries that use the Dewey Decimal classification system put them all in 001, under the heading "Knowledge". (000 is "Computer Science, Information, and General Works" and 002 is "The Book", so when you're browsing the shelves there's no question when you've hit a new heading!)
The Library of Congress system would put UFOs in TL (under the larger category of "Technology"), cryptids in QL ("Science") and ghosts under BF ("Philosophy, Psychology, and Religion").
My knowledge of library cataloging systems is very US-centric, and I don't know where they'd be in libraries elsewhere in the world.
Quote is not edit.

Fun question! I think in the past they would just be in the fun to read category (yes I was around when those were available) but today they would be right wing required reading.
OK, technically last month (I got them at Dragoncon), but only got them framed and hung tonight.
Which Star Wars did the X-Wing Enterprise appear in?
(They look great!)
I didn't need another one, but it was too good a deal to pass up:
I hope you named it Sonic.
The only silly thing about this one is how long it took me to order it:
I am really delighted with it!
I really wanted to upgrade my 2 monitors to 1 so went with the Samsung Odyssey G9 Neo. It's an amazing monitor! However, I then missed having more than 1 monitor. A couple of extra tall monitor stands and I now have my original 2 plus the G9. I don't think I could ever go back now.
Also, if you don't have Wallpaper Engine, spend the $2.99 on Steam to get it. It allows some pretty amazing animated backgrounds.
What an absolutely delightful setup. Super jealous.

Get your money back that background is not even animated!
I dabbled with FastTracker 2 back in my 386DX40 days, it's amazing how low the entry level pricing is now. Cheap enough to fiddle around guilt-free at least, especially with the 10EUR Amazon coupon
If anyone is looking for quality headphones at a great price, here they are. USB C DAC because phone manufacturers suck.
Sammys! Good stuff. They are my headsets for my PC.

Plus they added (finally) the ability to use the backgrounds as screensavers.
Finally found the proper, IBM version of this (earlier I'd found a really cheap copy and in my haste to get it neglected to see it was for the Atari ST).

Yes! This is such an awesome car. On par with the Audi S6 in every aspect, except $30K less expensive. So fun to drive.

Does a taillight cost $2000 to replace? If not, it’s not on par.

I didn't want the worse gas mileage on the big twin turbo so I expect this is not quite the one you're thinking of, really happy with the smaller 2.0 AWD so far though!
And yeah, having driven Audi's and BMW's and various other options, nothing really matched up for anywhere near the kind of pricing available on the G70. Could not imagine buying any of those after having driven the Genesis.

Yeah, gas mileage is not great on the larger engine models, but overall not particularly expensive to maintain from my experience so far. Disabling all the safety features (I don't drift so I rarely ever do this) will eat through tires pretty quickly, which definitely adds up. Servicing the Brembos is expensive too, though that shouldn't be necessary too often. I've spent much, much more on maintaining non-performance Volvo and Mercedes cars.
Last time I used a mandolin slicer I almost lost the tip of my finger. I saw this on TikTok and was like "Ooooh that's cool!". Is it silly? Yes. Do I love it? Yes! I cut up a potato to make fries in record time and still have all my digits.

I always wear a kevlar glove when using a Mandolin.
