Post a Picture of Your Silly Purchase of the Month.

A Lamy Al-Star fountain pen. I used to have the same thing in "graphite" (i.e. gray) but lost it in a move a while back. So I decided to replace it, and thought the "bronze" color looked nice.

Shoot, I just placed a fountain pen order (lavender Kaweco Sport and a lilac TWSBI Eco), and forgot about the Azure Al-Star.

In other silly purchase news, we finally got the fancy toilet installed. It's so strange getting a shot of warm water straight to the butthole. Is this truly how civilized society has been living all this time?

It's glorious isn't it?

I don't need no fancy warm water. My bidet shoots a high pressure spray of cold, refreshing water right up the gazoo. Wake up, partner! It's time to start the day!

"show me on the doll where the bidet touched you" is how I feel about them. I used one at a friend's house a couple years ago, and they asked me if I was OK when I walked out of the bathroom. Apparently the trauma was written all over my face.

Ooh, nice! I don't think I'm in too much danger of starting a collection, but the TWSBI Eco does tempt me.

What kind(s) of ink are you using?

I agree it's very upsetting the first couple times you use it. However, It's not nearly as upsetting as when you visit your in-laws house and they don't have a bidet.

I don't think any of the locals actually consider Bangor a big city. I certainly never did. The driving reluctance happens anywhere the roads are wider than a single lane on each side or there's a traffic circle.

I have since lowered the heat settings because I'm a bit afraid of the kids getting burnt, but fortunately, they haven't yet discovered the actual bidet functions. They've only discovered the auto-flush functions so far, and don't know how to work the remote... yet

er... purple. lots of purple. Sheening, sparkling, plain, waterproof; I've got all types (as well as the occasional blue and black). I probably have 40 full-sized purple ink bottles at this point. Also, due to work being super-busy, I haven't kept good enough track of which pens are inked with what, so I have to clean them out and re-ink them.

Someone is going to take a bidet stream to the face...

Don't the bidets have a butt-sensor so they won't spray water all over the bathroom and/or children?

Humanity's greatest achievement - the butt sensor.

You joke, but the way people talk about how their bidet changed their life....

The cheap ones like I have definitely don't have a butt sensor. Which is why it's on the basement toilet, because the kids would definitely figure out that turning the knob makes a fun water fountain. I tested it once, and I'm pretty sure that stream would shoot 10' easy, at the lowest pressure.

Cause it's too damn hot.

I bought a bidet.

1 month later moved in with my girlfriend .

3 months later asked her to marry me.

They really work!

A Vornado is never a silly purchase.

Ok, maybe the Zippi model is.

It just arrived. Best buy online tracking is weird but one day delivery is great. It's a little loud since its right next to me, but the temperature difference is totally worth it. I can wear a shirt now if I feel like it.

I didn't photograph it, but WalMart sells bags of gummy bears and gummy worms... in one bag!

Madness!

Check your grocery store for this one too...

That's only silly if you don't have any DeWalt tools. There's almost no such thing as too many batteries.

Umm, I only have one impact driver so far as far as cordless DeWalt.....but doing subfloor and now cement backerboard has made me think having 1 x 1.5 ah battery is definitely not enough.

Now I need to purchase a charging station that will charge more than 1 at a time.

You're gonna need a bigger battery...

Haribos I always found to feel stale.
Although, the Albanese (sic?) gummies are the king of gummies.

What's wrong with the Zippi model? I have one on my desk at work and it was the best $20 or $30 (I don't recall) that I have spent. It's quiet, just a soft breeze to keep me cool, and works really well.

It was either this or a PS5. This was in stock, so...
