Large pepperoni, half mushroom. Thanks in advance!

I decided to go with a low cost dabble into extended range guitars (I already have a couple of 7s, this is my first 8).

Dang!

That's awesome. What brand / type is it?

Harley Benton. I wanted to get the fanfret or multi-scale length because I've seen with my 7 string if I drop the tuning down and go thicker gauge it still gets real muddy or the high strings are very tight.

https://www.thomannmusic.com/harley_...

It ran about $185 with exchange rate and international shipping. It should arrive in another week or so.

I was eyeing an Ibanez, but it was $600. This seemed like a more "adult" decision

Very cool. I dipped my toes into multiscale with my Ibanez 7 string and I love it. Hope it's awesome.

This might be peak silly purchase for me: I bought a pair of tiny hands for sh*tz 'n' gigglz.

Extra silly because I got it out of a vending machine.

I demand to see the capsule that came in.

Can't comment on the sh*tz, but it definitely gave me gigglz.

That is <1 mile from my office.

Cause I need more hobbies to mess with:

Technically only on load for now. Still had some decent fun with this.

So, I liked the Harley Benton 8 string a lot and picked up another 2. This time 6 string. I ordered these right after bonus time and before the economy tanked... They arrived today (joys of backorder and customs). All said this ran me about $380 US w/ shipping

That's insanely cheap. How are they to play?

I like them. They may need a little setup (some say the action can be a bit high). I've played a while, but I'm by no means "good" so take my reviews with a grain of salt. The CS-24T has some pretty hot pickups, so it's a little piercing on clean, but I'm digging it distorted. I wanted a cheap Floyd Rose guitar (first guitar was an Ibanez with one). I had forgotten what a pain those can be at first, but it's also nice to play. I did have a chip in the head stock on that one, it's cosmetic and a little disappointing, but I'm not going to send it back to Germany.

I've got a real cheap Ibanez 7 string and it's garbage compared to the 3 HBs I bought. It also cost a little more than them too and I bought that one 15 years ago. The CS model comes with a fixed bridge version too if you don't want the trem, it's a nice PRS homage for about $200.

I forgot the coolest feature on the CS, you can pull the pot to split the coils. Going from humbucker to single. Gives you lots of tone/sound options with neck, both and bridge humbuckers.

Very cool. Make some awesome music with them and share them with us here: https://www.gamerswithjobs.com/node/1300648

I love that so many of us are digging into playing music during these strange days. I just got my bass back from my local luthier.

And this is my purchase:

I bought a home gym... I'm getting the rack today. Once that's been assembled, I'll post some pictures.

Edit - and.. it's built. I also got the plates ordered. Last item I plan to get in May is plate storage attachment that goes on the back. Also, sorry for the messy garage....

REP Fitness 1100 Rack

Already arrived:
REP Fitness AB-5100 bench
REP Fitness Ez-Curl bar
Rogue Ohio Bar
50lb kettle bell
TRX system

I had an adjustable plyobox and some old Cap dumbells
I built a deadlift platform with 4x6 3/4" plywood and stall mats from Tractor Supply Co.
The only thing missing is plates. I hope to get those ordered today. Those should arrive by the end of the month (I hope).

I wouldn't say it was a silly purchase, but the current events sort of accelerated this. It certainly wasn't planned at the beginning of March.

That’s awesome. I wish I had the space and money to get a decent eliptical set up in my home.

I'm not jealous. Nope. Not jealous.

Weeping with jealousy as I do my kb swings and turkish get ups in my tiny apartment

Me: looks at setup....Looks at Avatar...All checks out!

That cage is bolted down, right?

EvilHomer3k wrote:

No, this one doesn't bolt into the floor. The weight storage add-on I'll get will add stability. TRX is staying on the door until then. Did some stability testing and TRX is out until then

Very nice Distantsound. 10"? Dobs are fantastic.

My first thought was "whoa, got to respect a guy who bought a backyard mortar cannon to keep people socially distant." But yeah, a telescope is cool too.
