Post a Picture of Your Silly Purchase of the Month.

I want the Street Fighter 2 cabinet so much.

I would get a Third Strike if made.

Where do you find sixth scale quarters to feed into it?

You just use regular ones, but you get six credits for each.

Sixth scale quarters? You mean twenty-fourths?

I went pretty cheap on a new head unit for my car stereo, but it's still a silly purchase because I didn't technically need it, you know? But I have bluetooth now! (Try to ignore all the dirt. I'll clean the interior someday).

What model vehicle do you have? I'm guessing an old Jeep Wrangler or early 90s pickup truck (also I'm pulling this guess out of my butt)

I'm guessing late 80's Chevy Pickup. Those pedals look familiar.

I actually checked my profile to see if I'd put my location in, because I'm in the Midwest and it wouldn't be unreasonable to assume I owned an old Chevy pickup.

But you were close, it's a 77 Chevy Nova.

I initially read that as blu-ray and though "That is not safe!"

It's been a while since I bought something completely frivolous. I had a little birthday money and with it I bought 3 CDs and a silly little fan item for some Kpop acts.

I knew they were sort of deluxe with their packaging, but didn't realize just how completely extra they actually were until I held them in my hands.

BLACKPINK - Square Up mini-album (pink version) and lightstick
IMAGE(https://i.imgur.com/HTwxszP.jpg)
Came with a double-sided poster, two sticker sheets, a standup display, a postcard, a photobook (in the CD case), two random photo cards (Jisoo and Rosé) and a set of photo cards for the lightstick with a group shot and one of each member holding it. Plus a CD with 4 songs.

Red Velvet - Perfect Red Velvet version 2
IMAGE(https://i.imgur.com/EzbqVdk.jpg)
Slipcase, photo book, CD, random photo card (Seulgi), 4 group photo cards, and a huge(!) folded poster (not pictured)

Sunmi -Warning mini-album
IMAGE(https://i.imgur.com/OmLtXJV.jpg)
This one's basicly a hardcover book full of photos with the CD in back. It's really well made; about comic trade size. The slip cover unfolds to a mini poster inside and a lenticular bookmark and random photocard (Sunmi, of course)

Now I'm worried for my wallet going forward...

Been watching way too much dnd stuff. So impulse bought this at my game store. Even though I really have no one to play with.

Welcome to an amazing hobby.

Got a bagger for my riding lawnmower. I call it a silly purchase because it was $400 for mostly plastic, but its cut down my leaf gathering by half. Absolutely necessary for my half acre of yard.

You don't mulch your leaves? It's so much easier!

I can verify the necessity of his purchase. I had a half acre yard with trees and you cannot mulch that much. At some point you're just going to drown your yard with leaf mulch..

I had debated purchasing a pro leaf vac system to save me a months work every year and didnt. Bought a yard that gets virtually no dropped foliage now but plenty of trees. A much better choice.

I've had good luck mulching, even with trees that drop a lot (two good-size maples, and several big oaks on my neighbors' lawn that drops onto mine). You just have to go out and do it regularly enough that you're not doing a ton at once.

That said, I'm still just using a little push mower. Bagging with that thing and a yard my size is madness. If I had a tractor, I'd seriously consider a bagger. Hell, I'd really want it for the pine needles. My father in law has basically what Rains posted. I'd love to borrow it to do leaves and needles, but he doesn't have a trailer to bring it over.

Silver Maples, huge Pine trees and Black Walnuts. Plus neighbor's trees as well. 60+ year old neighborhood with well established trees. I usually have 3 - 4 rounds of leaves to pick up in October/early November. Too much to mulch, it suffocates the lawn. Plus the pine needles are evil and kill the grass in the back part of my yard.

This is not far off from my old experience. Plus every year the whole neighborhood worth of trees would shed and blow up into my yard and driveway. I got a leaf vac and would make giant snaking piles of leafs and then haul them up my hill to the compost pile. Made great compost. I would mow bag as well sometimes if it wasn't too much and just stop every 20 feet to dump into the garbage bin and haul up the hill after a few empties. I don't miss this. I will recommend those leaf hand rakes, those things I thought might help but never thought much about them. The are great at helping gather leafs. Also you feel like Leaf Wolverine. lmao.

My next house will have a smaller yard, or it will be a detached/executive townhome so I won't have to care about leaves, grass or snow! lol Ugg, takes 2.5(2 when I use the rider) hours weekly just to mow/weedwack/trim/edge/blow the grass clippings off the driveway in the summer.

I broke down and bough a riding mower with a bagger JUST for the leaves. We have about 20-30 maple/oak trees that line our property. It was a nightmare without it. I love it.

I just bought the Elite controller for the Xbox One. Most I have ever spent on a controller. I hope I love it.

It's sooooo nice.

If you generally like the shape if the Xbox One controller to start with IMO it's the best controller ever released for a console.

I have never used an Xbox One controller, but I like the standard 360 controller. How close is the Elite to that in feel? I've been wanting a second controller but have hesitated because I haven't tried it.

Close

I haven't used an Elite yet, but the standard Xbox One controller just feels like a natural progression of the 360 controller. I used a 360 controller on my PC long before I even owned a 360, but after upgrading to the Xbox One controller it's hard to go back to the 360.

Hard disagree. The XBox One controller is less ergonomic for me. I could hold a 360 controller comfortably for hours, easily. The XBox One controller causes hand cramps in less than an hour.

So I just put a new PC together. Problem is, the connector on my IBM Model M keyboard is huge, and actually blocks one of the USB ports. It's basically an AT DIN5 connector with a DIN5-to-PS2 adapter.

So I found this. A genuine IBM keyboard cable made specifically for my model of keyboard. With a far smaller PS2 connector.

Worth every penny.

Well so much for hope....:)

I got it Saturday and played with it a bit over the weekend and well I didn't find it better than the Xbox One S controller. I like the weight of the S controller so I even tried shutting my eyes and having the kids put one controller in each hand - and I couldn't tell which was which so that didn't make me happy.

In fact generally the elite felt the same as the S controller so I couldn't see keeping it. Oh well.
