That's about half of my RPG collection. (I had more but a lot of them were lost in the great basement flood of '96. ). And yes, that is the FASA Star Trek with Kirk and Spock on the cover. I also have the Romulan supplement but ditched the box some time ago and just put the rules in the main box.

There's also this...

That's actually just a fraction of my collection, just the ones I leave out. You can see my classic Traveller LBBs on the right shelf.

More importantly... that's a Bigtrak on top of that bookshelf! With the Trailer!

Yes it is, but that's more of a silly purchase from sometime in the early 1980's...

Along with these...

I should probably move all this over to the toys thread...

So. I bought one of the world's best-known microphones. I did an unboxing and was a little bit surprised at the quality control.

Well that's just excessive.

Nice! But, uh, load up a racing game or a first-person shooter.

Also, ultrawide monitors reinforce my bafflement over why Windows still thinks maximized windows is still a thing we need to do all the time on 20+ inch monitors. OS X zoom* FTW**.

*Where the ostensible maximize button instead makes the window as big as the content inside it needs it to be.
**Even though zoom is being made second fiddle to full-screen maximize nowadays. WTH Apple, figure out if I'm on a 11" laptop or 21" desktop.

It's big enough to have its own gravity well?

OMG I remember that black and orange ant thing...

I like the way you think

DeThroned, did you break into RNG's house and take a picture of his rig?

Actually a very practical purchase as my new job requires a 60-mile round-trip commute. Exciting mainly because it's the first new car I've ever owned.

Fun story: have had the car for a little over a week. Out mowing the lawn this past weekend and went looking for my four year-old son who I knew was outside playing. I found him sitting next to the car with something in his hand. He looked up at me and said "Daddy! Look what I was drawing on the car!" The thing in his hand was a rock. Luckily it's only surface scratches and not too large of an area.

When my sister was learning to write she wrote her name on my parents' freshly-painted Galaxie in a similar fashion. In order to prevent craziness my dad had to leave the premises for a while... in the Galaxie.

Good seeing Eclipse Phase getting some tender loving with some classics!

Also the fact that you own Delta Green mean you are now my king!

I love Eclipse Phase but my local group isn't that interested. Got to play in a couple of games up at GenCon this year, which was fun.

And I ran two sessions of Delta Green at GenCon and three at DragonCon using the current beta rules for the new Delta Green. The Kickstarter is supposed to be launching sometime this month.

I can't wait for the DG kickstarter. I don't know what kind of backer levels they'll have but I'm pretty sure I want to get all the things!

My ( then 16-yr old ) nephew lives with us, now. He grew up in Jersey, but his mother never owned a car. I wish this fact would have crossed my mind before I offered to pay him to go "scrape the cars" last winter. After he was out there for 20 minutes, then went back out for another 15, it hit me that he was taking WAY too long to clear the windows of the snow and ice.

A few days later when it was all melted, I saw the results of my poor wording. My 2011 Challenger and my wife's 2010 Escape have a LOT of scrape marks all over them. Along with some little dimples where he used the corner of the ice scraper to break the ice on the hood and trunk.

To my credit, I haven't killed him.

Yet.

I came to show off my new li'l microphone, suddenly feeling a bit kindergarten after seeing 1dgaf's post.

Nice. I almost bought one of those myself yesterday, they were the daily on woot, but decided I didn't need one right at the moment. If I ever get back to doing my Let's Play series again I may give them another look.

Eh, different tools for different jobs. I've been podcasting since 2008 and have been through three different mics since then, including a Rockband USB one taped to a branch, in turn taped to a desk lamp. I didn't have a mic stand, so I improvised.

That's the one I use to interview a professor from Oxford.

If the sound is clear and you're speaking clearly, you're doing better than most people out there.

I used the Rock Band USB mic for voice chat in TF2 for far too long a time, no shame in that!

Blue microphone's are great. I've got a Nessie on my desk and it's been fantastic.

More podcast appearances?

(That's my wrist, in case you're confused)

We traded in my wife's 2011 corolla for a 2013 mustang v6 premium. 300HP.

Weird. That picture crashed Chrome for me until I restarted. Gremlins.

I fixed my image link above.

Good trade.

EXCEPT...her car is now faster than mine. I may have to get that Focus RS when it comes out next year /rubs hands together MUHAHAHAHAHAH

Yeah, she may beat you to 60mph by a half a second, but your driveshaft won't explode if you exceed ~110 miles an hour.

Hers will

Wattt? 300hp out of a V6? Get some!
