NCAA 11 GWJBCS (Xbox 360): Year 3 Week 14

Firesloth, 11pm works for me tonight, let me know if it works for you! Sorry about not posting this earlier, work sucked today.

Sucky day at work? Shake it off! You need to be focused. You've got an important game tonight.

Let's go Rutgers!

So, wait -- you want to play the CPU for the national championship? What fun is that?

Also, speaking of highly ranked teams in our dynasty... Saw a shirt the other day that had the BC logo. Behind the B and C of the logo were spelled out "Backup College." Almost as good as all the FUSC and "Muck Fichigan" shirts I've seen...

Kush -- 11 pm should work out for me. If something comes up, I'll drop a line here and on the Xbox.

Why would you think that? Do you think you're gonna lose against Kush?

Spoiler:

(Seriously, I hope for a HvH national championship).

I hope that the NC game doesn't get locked up 50 times before it can actually get played.

I still have nightmares from that

Firesloth, guess the game cut us off. Awesome game, even thouogh I came up short. Good luck in the championship!!!!

I had 1 play from the 36 year line, that's after we traded touchdowns in the last 1:10. Two fumbles by Williams killed me, can't make mistakes like that. Shonuff, you are going to have your hands full in the Nat Championship.....................if the game lets you play it

Leroy and I had a ton of fun trying to get it to work last season, now it's your turn guys

Holy f@ck. ND escapes Rutgers with a 38-35 victory on a go-ahead TD with 28 sec left.

ND's Crist (QB) was player of the game with 395 yards on 28-35 passing. He had 3 TD throws but 2 INTs, one of which went for 6 points for Rutgers. I lost my starting HB for 9 weeks in the first quarter...so that was fun.

This game had just about everything, from that pick-6 to my forced fumble on a screen play at led to a 96 yard defensive TD. Rutgers had 522 yards of offense. It wasn't pretty. Thankfully Kush had 3 turnovers to my 2, otherwise my title hopes would be dashed.

Thanks for the great game to end the season, Kush. Good luck in your bowl.

Maybe this year I will win my bowl game, lol.

I don't think I had a pick-6, but I did have that kickoff return, where I shook off 11 of your players, 2 refs, and about 5 trombone players from your marching band to break free for a huge kickoff return for a TD.

I made sure I put it in the highlights. Oh, and Williams was definitely short on my last TD. I wish he was short, I could have gotten you to burn your last timeout, lol.

Oh, and don't kick to #23 of Rutgers...watch his 102 yard kickoff return to see why.

That was the reason I hesitated looking for the challenge. Even if he hadn't been in, it would just mean he'd score the next play and leave me less time on the clock.

Shag and I just finished an epic game.

1171 total yds of offense & 6 snowy turnovers between the two of us.

I blew a 17 point 4th quarter lead and found myself down 4 with 1:30 left. I converted a 4th down to keep my drive alive and eventually went in for what would be the winning score with 10 seconds left.

I was afraid 10 seconds was too much, since Shag scored on the first play of his drive twice, but my D (which was pretty strong for most of the game) finally came through with my lone sack of the game.

That one ended up as #3 on my greatest list.

Good game man. That was tense.

Shag and I just finished an epic game.

You two scored a combined 56 points in the 4th quarter?? Shag scored 35 of his 49 points in the last quarter...and he hadn't scored since the first quarter?

I'd call that epic!

Two amazing games on a Friday night?

Nights like this make me wish you could watch these games.

I actually said to myself "Ok...just don't get outscored by 17 points and this will work out great," before the 4th started.

It almost happened.

Looks like we had two epic games tonight. I am not sure if Leroy and Counselar or Jayhawker and shonuff can match it.I marched down the field to score and then got a sack fumble for a TD to go up 14. After that the second and third quarters belonged to Michigan. down 31-14, Pitt threw their way into the lead only to fall short in the end. In the fourth quarter there was 5 TDs in 1 minute of game time between the both of us. It was crazy.

I should of stopped short on my last TD to not give him the ball back, but decided to go in for the score anyway. Bad mistake by me.

Sunseri threw for 537 yards and 6 Tds, but 3 INTs.
Shanahan had 7 catches for 229 yards and 2 TDs

This game ranked #1 in my list of games played.

I think a couple of Rutgers players had a shot at him too. You both have to get your guys to wrap up.

Wow. The Pitt/Michigan game looked wild. 60 combined points in the 4th quarter? How?

It probably helps when Mike Shanahan comes out of retirement to play receiver for you, though.

The ND/Rutgers game was #3 on my list. I call shinanigans, that was one of the best games I've been a part of all-time.

I think this lose will push me off the top 25. I might be heading back to a 4-star school next year. My hopes of one day recruiting a 5-star player are dwindling, lol.

I'm with Shag about next season. Give everyone 3 HvH opponents and hope we can get in a 4th and final season before NCAA12. Here's hoping they increase the number of participants in online league play, and to keeping this core group of players. This is by far the best online league I have ever been a part of.

No joke. We combined for 5 TDs in about 10 plays.

After he kicked the field goal, late in the third. I marched down the field and hit my TE for a 36 yard score. Hansom then returned the kickoff back. My first play from scrimmage was a bomb to Shanahan. He second play from scrimmage was the long run and the again, my first play from scrimmage was a bomb to the guy in the slot. All in a over a minute of game time.

Even though I lost, it was definitely one of those game you would like to save and rewatch if you could.

Maybe you should play against me more often so you can fill in your greatest games list. It seems like I'm always playing games that go down to the wire (just ask Leroy, Counselor, Jayhawker, et al.).

In fact, the ND/Rutgers tilt didn't even make my all time greatest list! And the game I played against Counselor in which I scored with only a few seconds left in the game and opted for a 2-pointer to win the game this season in the other league was only my 3rd rated game.

Same here. All of the above. I'd love to run this again before next season. Especially as my team is finally improving.

It was a shootout in every sense of the word. I missed a field goal somewhere in there as well, but my overall team speed helped out quite a bit in the 4th.

These last few weeks have me pretty amped for next season. 3 HvH games sounds pretty reasonable, I'll have 2 preset with ND and NU unless changed anyways.

Washington keeps the Apple Cup for one more year, pounding WSU for almost 600 yards of offense in a 48-6 victory.

2 games left to play.

What are your best play time, GDawg?

Sunday afternoon/evening works for me.

So, do you have an ETA? I should be around all day. I will check back here or on XBL, but if you can give me a good time for you, I can be there.
