DC Goodjers - National Pinball Museum?

That was fun! Too bad I had to leave early. Have a drink for me.

Good times were had!

Safecracker was easily the best one to play there.

What the heck is going on to the left of this picture? Thirteenth and I look completely oblivious to the rape behind us.

Yup. Good time. Glad I could catch up with everyone. We'll have to go again sometime.

Picture album here. The fluorescent lighting in the play room was throwing my camera off, so the pictures from in there are not great, but the shots from the rest of the museum are decent. Here's a couple of my favorites.

Precursor to modern pinball, before flippers were introduced.

KrazyTaco[FO] playing the first pinball machine with actual flippers, and a closer shot of the play area. I have to say, it wasn't all that much fun, but it's neat to see how it's evolved.

Early pre-flipper pinball-esque...thing. The prizes were cigars!

Group picture. From left to right Vrikk, JediK809, Thirteenth, KrazyTaco[FO] and wife, and I don't know who that ugly sumbitch on the end is, but he's totally ruined the picture.

Great pictures, Rob!

They were totally gay for each other, couldn't you see it in their eyes? The longing gazes, the tender touch?

Hope the trip back home wasn't tough for you guys. It rained for a bit soon after I left.

Aw, pity I was out of town this week and missed this. I'll need to check it out next time I'm in the city.

Indeed, thanks for coming out, everyone! Fulfilling Rabbit's request, here are my pictures: GWJ Trip to National Pinball Museum

They're cellphone pictures, so some are pretty blurry. Rob_Anybody took some pictures too, including a group photo, so I hope he'll share with the class.

man. Super jealous. Wish I'd been in the area and could have joined you. Was there post pin drinking?

Yup! Not as much as we wanted to since we were trying to beat the weather, but there were a couple of Guinness pints downed.

Are you sure that Rabbit didn't make an appearance? He seems to shut down everything else

The Museum is closing

What?! Argh. Damn it!

That sucks! The owner is a really kindly old man who loves to make awkward jokes. I'll be sad to see the place go.

What?! Bullsh*t!

That sucks. I can't imagine what it's going to cost to move all that into a new space. Especially with all the custom install stuff they did in the lobby and museum walkthrough part.

I would imagine having to move would bankrupt him or set him so far in debt that it's not feasible to keep it open in another location.

Sounds familiar, but our local game-pinball museum was shut down up here for some antiquated stupid law that outlaws arcades on the main street. Stupid.

The article says he's going to try to re-open somewhere else. Well, I'm now especially glad we got a crew together to see it.
