NCAA 11 GWJBCS (Xbox 360): Year 3 Week 11

League Website

Welcome to Week 11!

Louisiana Tech vs. Boise State #12 (Counselar)
Ole Miss vs. Georgia #17 (Coolbeans)
Houston (BigHoppa) vs. SMU
Texas #5 vs. Kansas #18 (Jayhawker)
Alabama #9 vs. LSU #6 (LeroyOG)
Michigan #16 (HansomB1derful) vs. Illinois
Minnesota vs. Northwestern #1 (shonuff27)
Notre Dame #2 is idle
Oregon State #15 (DSGamer) vs. Washington State
Pittsburgh #3 (shag26) vs. Connecticut
Louisville vs. Rutgers #25 (Kush15)
USC vs. Washington #22 (Redhwk)

Some intersting developments going on. With Northwestern whooping on #3 Ohio State, they have claimed the number one spot in the polls. Rutgers has climbed their way back into the Top 25. It is also getting time for some more head to head actions before the Championship games and the bowls. I am really hoping to get one more year in before NCAA12 comes out.
I was thinking about limiting the number of human vs. human games next year just to keep the league moving.

First!

Let's be clear -- NU didn't beat OSU by *that* much...and OSU was only ranked #3! ND topped a #2 rated human opponent (let's call Leroy that for now...). I call overrated.

Actually, I'd love to see ND-NU in the championship. It might give me an opportunity to get revenge for a loss in the first season of this dynasty. Now that his hulking beast of a TE is graduated, I might actually have a chance.

How in the EFFFFFFFFF did fire drop??!?! That's ridiculous.

Great recruiting week.

Just got an instant commit from a 3* HB. Rated as a "power" back, he weighs only 160 lbs...

LSU spots Alabama 14 points on a pic and a fumble. Unfortunately for Alabama, they couldn't do much more after that. LSU wins

My only loss was to the #2 ranked team in the country and I'm still stuck in the high teens.

No love for the Wolverines.

It's those goofy helmets your players wear. [runs and hides before the wrath...]

Yeah you better run.

How can you call them goofy Firesloth? All college football teams should have retarded stripes branching out in different directions...........................looks like they had one really big stripe, and someone fed it through a shredder.

I really don't hate Michigan at all. It's just fun to pile on.

Wouldn't be right to stop people from having fun. Carry on!

It's not Michigan's fault that OSU was able to pay their players better than Michigan.

I wonder if that kid traded autographs for that face paint.

I'm done with the Michigan bashing

Go Irish!

Way to early to soften up firesloth before you play him.

Plus I have no problems with Michigan since cousin Jim played there and is now coaching the Niners!

Go Irish!

Yup! They have a tough opponent this week. Maybe Idle can eke out the win.

So the game tried to screw, but I ended up pulling it out. Though, it may have killed my season.

I was up 14-0 at the half, but in the 3rd both Toussaint (9 weeks) and Robinson (4 weeks) got knocked out. Back up QB Devan Gardner came in and promptly threw 2 int's, giving the Illini a chance, which they converted. Tied 14-14 going into the 4th.

My B team was finally able to put together a drive to go up 21-14, but they were driving as time wound down. They had a 4th & goal from about the 8 with under 10 seconds to go, but I was able to pick off the pass in the endzone and run it back to seal the deal.

Today I won the battle, but may have lost the war. My B team will have to play much better if I'm going to compete with the heavy competition in the weeks ahead.

Ouch. That's painful. But, it had to feel good to get that INT at the end!

DS and Redhwk are the only people left to play for this week.

Oh the price of playing in last year's National Championship:

My schedule for this season holds the top 3 teams (all Goodjers) under the current rankings:

Lost to Northwestern (#1)
Playing Notre Dame (#2) in Week 14
Lost to Pittsburgh (#3)

Shag, you owe me an extra home game next season, and I expect a softer schedule. So be sure to schedule a rematch between Rutgers and Donkey St.......................................

Si Senor. I have something planned for Bowl Week

Awsnapz

I'm pretty excited about where I have finally gotten Kansas to. Beating #5 Texas should help with my ranking a fair bit, from #18. I have two games left vs. ranked teams, including the mother of all battles against #1 Northwestern. I will then play Texas a second time in the Big 12 Championship Game, and then hopefully a ranked team in a bowl.

Of course, NU is going to be a near impossible task, and I'm not sure how far I will fall if (when) I lose. I'd like a good shot at a Top 10 ranking. It's tough when it is crowded with so many Goodjers. That 0-2 start has doomed me once again.
