NCAA 11 GWJBCS (Xbox 360): Year 3 Week 5

Wow. ND bests Georgia 48-46 in 7 OTs. I don't really remember anything about the game except winning. ND only had 263 yards of total offense, it was enough.

Great game and sportsmanship, Coolbeans.

EDIT: best news is that I had a bunch of recruits visiting.

Yup, never had a game as epic as that one. Couldn't believe my TE didn't get in on my last 2-point try. Somehow I knew that one would get me. Very tense game, but fun.

Awesome win!

Dang, and I thought my come from behind game against Jayhawker last year was intense.

7 OTs? That's nuts.

Holy crap. Good stuff.

Wow. Great game you two. It has to be in your top 5 or even top 1 of games played in NCAA11!

League rolling shortly.

Yeah, it was a great game. What made it even more heartbreaking was in the 7th OT, I scored a touchdown and was doing my 2-point conversion (you have to go for two after 2 OT's). Neither of us had successfully gotten a 2-pointer all night up to this point. I rolled my QB out to the right and my TE was wide open in the flat. I remember thinking FINALLY I'm going to get a 2 pointer. But my QB threw it a bit high. MY TE caught it, but had to jump to do so which killed his momentum. That gave his DE time to come and stop my guy (who was turning around to dive in) and make the tackle on the 1/2 inch line. Somehow I knew that was going to cost me the game and it did.

I wish I had saved more video from the game. I was just so jazzed/distracted by the way it ended that I only thought to put in the vid of my last two plays, the TD and 2 point conversion. If I'd been thinking straight, that would have been the most important play to get in there. I thought for sure they were going to call you in...it was VERY close.

I also would have put in that monster TD run your HB had...the one where he manhandled two of my players to the ground within the 10 yard line. Or was it your WR on that long TD pass? I can't remember. All I know is that he introduced at least two of my better players to the turf.

Also, I wish I had saved some more of the stats. You had a good time of possession advantage, as my offense sputtered a lot of the game. Your front 7 played great defense. That interception on the screen pass was huge. I didn't expect it at all, but your blitzers were in on my QB so fast that he didn't have time to let the HB get set up.

Looking at my 2.8 yard per carry average, you'd wonder why I had 30 carries to only 24 throws. It was because my Oline was letting through blitzers like there was no tomorrow, and I'd been bitten twice by INTs. (That first one I place squarely on my TE who was supposed to make an in cut but just kept going deep. Stupid sophomores...)

Oh, also, I think we only played 5 overtimes, even if it felt like 7.
