lmao @ ((Kush))

Had a bit of time at home this morning, so I got my game in. #3 ND defeats #4 Stanford 35-20.

Stanford actually looked pretty good midway through the 2nd, leading 17-7. But I got a good TD drive before the half and held Stanford to 1 TD and 2 FGs in 4 redzone trips to overcome the 2 INTs I threw.

One of those INTs was a horrible pick 6. It was one of those plays where your receiver going to the flat is guarding by a LB. As I dropped back, I hit the Y button, but it didn't register. So, I waited a moment and pressed it again. Of course, by then I can't see the WR, and he's stopped, allowing the LB to catch up. That ended poorly.

If it hadn't been for that play, I don't think I would have been at all worried. As it was, just after the half it looked like Stanford might score another TD on the opening drive of the 3rd. I was able to keep them to a FG, and they didn't score again (the video of the last play of the game is fun, since the Stanford receiver misses scoring a final TD by inches).

Dayne Crist went 17-27 for 282 yards, 2 TDs, but 2 INTs. HB Cierre Wood had 92 yards on 21 carries, including 3 TDs. My defense really buckled down in the second half. Star MLB Manti Teo had 11 tackles, including one monster sack.

My P/K Ben Turk was awesome. He had 4 touchbacks on 6 kickoffs. The other two kicks went into the endzone, including at least one against the 14 mph wind. His 2 punts averaged 47 yards, one of them landing out of bounds at the 4 yard line.

I did my recruiting this morning, and will play my game tonight, most likely.

Will knock my business out today. Love football.

I'm going to lose to Army on purpose, just so I can beat Pittsburgh on their home turf, and laugh that they lost to an ((0-3)) team. Probably will have to wait until Sunday to play my game, while my wife is at Zumba.

Tell her she should go to an extra Zumba class tonight, as she looks as if she could use some more exercise. Comments like that really help a marriage!

I will, but only if you promise to let me sleep on your couch after I tell her. Since she likes to pop in a read comments from time to time, so I would like to take this time to say "HI HONEY, I LOVE YOU!".

She is actually going to the gym tonight, but while I am at Flag Football. Opening night of Season VII, and we're playing the Raiders, who were in the Div I league last season. We have been in Div 3 the last couple of seasons, so I expect the result to be similar to the Rutgers/LSU National Championship.

GO GLADIATORS!

LSU knocks off S. Carolina. Twas a steady thumping. Also nabbed a 5* WR in recruiting.

Damn you. I managed to get a commit from a 4* HB during a call this week, so that helps me feel better about my recruiting class even while I'm hating yours.

I'm definitely not going to have as strong as a class as I did last year but it'll do. I wish there were trades in college football

I'll try to knock my game out tonight.

Hansom, availability is a bit wonky this weekend. Sunday afternoon might be possible. Other than that, it's evenings after 7:30pm CST except for Thursdays. Might be able to work something tomorrow night (Friday) same time. Let me know so we can work something out.

Georgia got it's game and pitched a shutout in Lexington against the Kentucky Wildcats. Except for a couple of long plays, they never really mounted much of a challenge. However, I see I'm at South Bend next week against the Fighting Irish so that should be a barn burner!

Boise State obliterates Utah State to start their WAC title defense.

Freshman QB Nick Bostic led the way for the Broncos, throwing for 307 yards and 5 TDs. He's got some learning to do, however, as he was only 11 for 25 with two picks. RBs Deon Rucker and Eugene Tate both went over 100 yards, and freshman DE Drew Robinson was a monster, finishing with 14 tackles, including seven sacks.

I played yesterday, and Kansas seems to have recovered from their early losses to top ranked teams. Texas Tech was requesting to be mercy killed in the 2nd quarter. Kansas was up 28-0 at half, and coasted to a 38-10 win.

The rest of the season will be a tune-up in preparation of their final game against another ranked human opponent, Northwestern. We've got to finally win one of these games!

Pitt played Miami and won 27-17. I still could not save highlights when I noticed that the inside of my disc has a small crack. Not sure if that is the problem, but I am open to suggestions. I was thinking of putting the gamne on the hard drive to see if that might fix it.

Probably would. The game runs soooo much more smoothly with it installed on the hard drive.

Agreed...with much less noise, as well!

Rutgers recruiting is done. Game will be played Sunday morning.

Every sport game seems to run better installed. In fact, Madden was choppy as beans this year until I installed it.

Anyone else have problems installing EA games to their HD? It seems to take 45 minutes to install an EA game to my Xbox HD but only 15 on the USB external HD. Every other game installs in 10-15 minutes on the Xbox HD.

Dragon Age, Dead Space, EA Sports titles all get installed to my external HD. It's weird.

How do you install a game to the hard drive? I have never done that.

make sure you have about 6-7GB of free space on your HD.

From the Dashboard, go to My Xbox and you should have an option to hit Y for Game Details. There should be an option for "Install game" in that menu. Takes 10-15 minutes normally but I've had issues where its taken up to 45 minutes

I've never seen it take 45 minutes, usually about 10. It's very helpful. You have to have the disc in to play, but it keeps the spinning to a minimum.

Its just EA games. I dont even know whats up with it.

Wouldn't ya know, not soon after posting that our girl decided she didn't want to wait until morning to be induced. Still at the hospital awaiting things to happen but I think we are sitting coming up on the end of the 4th quarter. Hopefully won't be long now.

I hope you brought your Xbox with you so you can get your game in while you wait!

That wait for induction can be maddening in that even once they get started, it can take awhile. Good luck to both of you. Hope everything goes off without a hitch!

ooooooh, good luck Red. Hope everyone is healthy!!!

Good luck Red! Big weekend here with him and his baby and me getting married tomorrow!

Good luck, Red!

Red, good luck! More importantly, good luck to your wife! Make sure she gets lots of drugs!

*EDIT*
Coolbeans, good luck to you too!
