This is probably one of the tougher enchant choices, and it's going to depend on how much you trust the valuations of crit vs agi that you are getting from whatever spreadsheet or simulator you are using. Suffice to say, there are gear levels where the 50 crit seems clearly better (ie, when I last got a new cloak), and points where the 22 agi is maybe marginally better, or about the same (ie, the gear levels Kirwin, Ran and I are currently at). As far as I can tell, most of the time it's going to be close enough that you might as well choose based on which enchant is cheaper.
Of course, if Max has been kind enough to send you both, you have no excuse not to agonize over the math.

Just doing a compare against other hunters i've come across that i gone and checked their armory listing and it seems they favor Crit over Agi. While i'd have them beat on Agil hands down their crit would be double sometimes 4x more than mine.
Of course all this is going to change with the upcoming patch so i slowed down on my urge to go nuts on reforging/gearing up for extra crit beyond what i've already done.

Check your gems as well, you have an open prismatic gem slot and you have ignored the bonus 20 agi on your pants by putting in 2 red gems when you could get an extra 20 of whatever stat if you place a red and blue gem and maintain the 80 agi that the slots would provide you. You could at least pick up sta or hit (in case you ever change gear) that would be free stats.

Regarding Sunday, as much as I'm dying to hit a new boss or two before I get nerfed, it looks like I am indeed out as well. The plans aren't 100%, but they are solid enough that I don't want to be leaving you guys in the lurch on short notice, so it's best to assume I won't be there. Sorry!

Geeze, since I'm getting so much slack for this, I'll explain a bit better for those don't know my humor in game). I was worried the last 2 weeks that as a person that never raided before, if I messed up or did not do well it will put a non favorable impression on letting non experienced people try to tackle new content. Obviously this weeks list is more expansive but I was still worried. I did a good job and besides my normal grats in game to the group I was personally proud of my individual accomplishment. I'm pretty sure I wasn't rubbing anyone's face in it, so I'm sorry if anyone felt that way.

I just got the belt made before the raid so did not have time to really research the mats for a good prismatic gem, definitely my fault.
The 2 red +40 are more then any blue or yellow gem combo(last time I looked) plus the free 20, although I think some new gems will be out with the patch.
I have no idea what the tinkers on those items are so I'm happy to look that up. Weird that they don't list that on the item itself!
I already have a lot of AGI so once I was above hit cap, I reforged everything into crit and haste. The more crits means more Lock and Loads which means 3 quick Explosive shots which are a SV Hunter's best damage dealer. With high haste, I can shoot 3 or 4 Cobra shots in between Explosive shots which gives even more chance for crit.

I'm sure you already know this since you do read EJ, but wanted to make sure that when LnL procs and you can shoot your ES you're not doing them back to back.
If you do you'll clip off a tic and instead of 4 tics from 2 shots you'll get only 3.

Yep, I can actually get 2 cobra shots off in between ES with my haste.
What bosses are we doing tonight?
We'll start in BoT. If we've the time for a 3rd boss, we can head to BWD for Maloriak.
I have a better idea for this week's Halfus combo to try tonight, hopefully we'll get passed that mess quickly.

You are totally right to be proud -- that log shows an awesome first raid.
Many thanks to Rantin for filling in tonight! We wouldn't have accomplished a damned thing if you hadn't volunteered to help.
After the previous night's fiasco trying to kill off Halfus, we managed to one shot it tonight. Sadly, I had my brain wave a little too late for the Weds night's group! I really do regret wasting so much time Weds now that the strat seems so obvious. Sadly, all the strats out there are so incredibly wrong about how to handle the whelps. Hint: ignoring the whelps and/or trying to tank the whelps is not viable!
Our successful strat started with having Wal pull Halfus while Anriis unlocked the whelps and Bhumpy unlocked the Time Warden.
Bhumpy then tanked the whelps and time warden while dps AoE burned the crap out of the whelps. Dps then switched to the warden.
Meanwhile, Wal was taking MS stacks from Halfus as far as he could without risking death. Once the risk was too high, he hit BoP to clear the debuff and retaunted Halfus giving Bhump and the dps enough time to burn down the whelps.
After the whelps died, Bhumpy and Wal went back to the normal taunt swap for the MS debuff. After the Time warden died, we unlocked the slate dragon and burned it down.
Once all drakes were dead, we hit hero and did the usual burn cycle.
Sounds so easy in hindsight, but really, I was impressed with our ability to execute the new strategy with such a high degree of precision. It's the first time we've managed a one shot kill for any boss in Cataclysm! Truly a real guild accomplishment we should all be proud of.
On another note, I very much like that we're introducing new people to different fights this week. It's vitally important that we expand our fight knowledge base to as many raiders as possible. Sure it's a short term bit of pain to (re)learn the fight, but it has enormous long term benefits.
For Sunday please be familiar with the fight mechanics for Maloriak and Chimaeron. Assuming we dodge the Superbowl curse and have a viable raid we'll have ~3hrs to work on new(ish) content.
