Portal 2 Catch-All

GLADoS + Sniper + Banjo = Awesome.

Nerd chills

Either way is fine, but the co-op does take place after the single-player, and is more difficult. There isn't really much in the way of single-player spoilers in the co-op, though, but I would imagine the better experience overall is to go single-player, then co-op.

I started the game just recently as well and didn't have time to play too much (loove the first 20 or so minutes though). Here's the question: is it a good idea to play coop first and singleplayer campaign later? I'm planning to play with my brother and I like the idea of both of us exploring the game for the first time in tandem. Will I be missing some important things/skills this way?

I would say just finish the SP before doing the last chapter (5 i think) of the MP there are a couple spoilers there.

Played another hour this morning (and almost missed a conference call because of it -.-). Encountered the gels and a certain gentleman. Sooo good. Unless they screw up the story royally during the last few minutes, there's no way this game won't end up on the top spot of my favorite games of all time.

I too just finished it a few days ago, and boy you are gonna LOVE the ending.

I don't recall seeing this before but could have missed it. The first video is of dialogue, presumably from the rat man, near a wall in a side room in the game. Don't watch if you haven't played, though I don't think this is really a spoiler so posting it here. The second video is where some has isolated the rat manish files-- still don't make any sense. Still, interesting.

I'm finally working thru Portal 2. I was wondering on test 12/22, if this is the only solve, or if others came up with a different solution.

Spoilers, only view if you've completed 12/22.

Spoiler:

after getting the cube, I took the cube to position 1, shot orange across (see the blue line) and dropped down to it, position 2. then I set the cube down, and lept off the position 2 bridge, and on the way down I shot orange in the spot you see it. I landed on the new bridge and was fortunate that the cube fell to final bridge without falling off.

I can't remember the puzzle exactly, Jeff, but:

Spoiler:

Why didn't you just shoot the portal nearest you beneath you and keep doing that do you dropped down with the cube in hand?

Listened to it backwards. Still nonsense.

Well, crap. You're right. I just went back and replayed the last part of it, and I was able to shoot orange on the wall just below me (standing on the cement wall). On first playthrough, I looked over that ledge to try that, but thought I couldn't get the proper viewing angle to make that shot without falling off the ledge.

So as my dad used to say, I reached over my shoulder to scratch my ass :)

If possible try to find a co-op virgin it will make the play better.

I haven't touched it yet, but I have company for the 1-2 weeks. If you can wait that long, I am game.

The arm's still healing, but maybe.

I'd be up for co-op.

Wow! This guy made a series of Portal 2 test chambers to propose to his g/f. He even got Ellen McClain to do voice acting for it.

That video is simply AWESOME.

+1. Wow.

I am currently working through the coop campaign with my brother several rooms at a time and it has to be the most fun we ever had gaming together. All the furious team thinking, the great GlaDOS lines, the pure joy when we figure out the puzzle together and the GlaDOS comment that follows... It's something else entirely. Unlike Left 4 Dead it allows us to take time, enjoy the ride and reflect upon puzzle ingenuity. And it makes us feel smart Brother is in the US for almost a year now, so such bonding game experiences are really welcome in the limited gaming time we have (different time zones, he works a lot, I have two small kids, so it's really difficult to coordinate a free gaming window).

Live action portal short "Portal: No Escape".
