What are you playing this weekend?

This is going to be a Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous weekend for me. I'll also probably get some Monster Train in.

I probably won't be able to beat The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure (PC) this weekend, but I should get pretty close to the end.

Hopefully continuing my co-op adventures in Orcs Must Die 3 and Divinity Original Sin 2. Also, working away at Subnautica. I’m dipping a toe into Patapon 2 Remastered. The look of the games has always appealed but I didn’t have a Playstation when they were first out. It’s a rhythm game and I may not click with it but I’m learning that I have to take a risk on games sometimes to discover new experiences. Also, the power of Greg Miller (Patapon super fan) compels me.

I'm getting very close to the end of Troubleshooters: Abandoned Children, although it looks like there's a bonus 8-mission campaign after the story comes to an end. I'm trying to put a bow on this one by the end of the month, but on the other hand, I don't really want it to end.

Definitely SNKRX. A very clever take on a, I suppose, single stick bullet hell (two button controls) and Snake game combo. Build your snake over time, add in extra effects, all managed by gold collection, and see if you can make it to level 25. If you can, you get another character added to your snake (train?) and you can choose to play on (risking losing it) or make the game harder and keep the additional size. Quite fun.

Going to play some more No Man's Sky: Frontiers. Might get Eastward for Switch if time permits

I have just over a month left with my £1 for three months game pass sub, so I'm making the most of it before deciding if to continue... yes, I most likely will.

So, continuing with The Outer Wilds, more of The Ascent, now that the critical bugs have been squished and I've just started Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice

Next month I'm looking forward to playing The Riftbreaker which will be coming to game pass on release. So I booted up their previous game X-Morph: Defense (a fusion of a top-down shooter and tower defense strategy) from my backlog and it's a lot of fun, I'll be playing more of that one.

I just picked up SNKRX on iOS for my iPad, it's great and cheap too!

Been traveling a bit, so I'll be trying to remember what I was doing in Bloodborne, and getting the Regalia mount in the FF15 event in Final Fantasy XIV

I'm also planning on grabbing that mount. I'd like to finish up Skyward Sword, so I can shift to another cute game. Meanwhile, I'll be exploring DEATHLOOP.

Hoping to get started on VA-11 HALL-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action, maybe get some writing done. Would've liked to play more of Heaven's Vault but with the schedule I'm looking at, I have to be realistic.

So far it's mostly been staring at the bunch of games I have installed and going "yeah... I don't know".

Likely more Yakuza Like A Dragon. It continues to be great, but I got to a point where I need to do a bit of grinding.

I also played a bit of Flynn Son of Crimson earlier, thanks to Game Pass. Very early impressions are that it's quite a solid, well polished game - a fair bit better than I expected it to be, so that's pretty nice!

I've also had a hankering for a big dumb FPS game. It's been a while! I tried Rage 2 a couple of weeks ago and while it's both big and dumb, the open world stuff got in the way too much. I might just replay Titanfall 2 (not that that's dumb or anything).

EDIT:
My big dumb FPS choice ended up being Wolfenstein: The Old Blood.

Some how Dyson Sphere Project has sunk its teeth in and won't let go.

After 60 hours into my latest build (where I had started my Dyson Sphere and was about to ramp up interstellar mining) I discovered the world of mods. So I restarted with some mods. Galactic Scale is the big one, but I've also added a few QoL mods as well. The best being PlanetMiner.

I'm now off the starting planet, got my foundry world going, and just about to start my research world. Both are huge ice planets with nearly 100% construction area.

My oldest keeps insisting we play more Transformers: Devastation together, so definitely more of that.

As always, a round or four of Quake Champions per day.

In an effort to see what my next game to play through will be, I started Condemned: Criminal Origins last night and got through the first mission. I'm not in love with it, but I'll give it some more time.

Really want to get back to some Quake Remaster.

Going to watch my son play Need for Speed Heat or Payback. I will be playing Cultic Demo. It is a Blood ass inspired game or maybe just play Blood or Ion Maiden

Outer Wilds in the pile. Hellblade was fantastic. And I have X-Morph Defense on Switch. Picked it up super cheap for a few bucks and it was a lot of fun.

I'd still be playing Cyberpunk 2077 and dipped my toes back into Destiny 2. And now it would appear I am back into the FPS's!

It's a long weekend over here, so I was planning to continue on with and maybe finish Flynn: Son of Crimson and check out Sable, which I've been following for a while now. However, when I got home my wife started having some early signs of labour, so maybe we're having a baby instead? They've subsided for now, but it's definitely put us on edge. Either way, should be a fun weekend?

Busy weekend coming up but will try to fit in more Heavensward in my New Game Plus replay of Final Fantasy XIV's main story. I'll also try to finally make some progress in Bloodborne's DLC.

Having just finished a Falcom game (Trails to Azure), it's time to play another Falcom game: I might get started on Ys VIII (PC).

I’d like to get to level 3 in SNKRX, finish my Planetfall game, and mess around some more with Potion Craft.

My plans are to finally finish the adventure mode in Ring Fit Adventure and start Deltarune chapter 2 after I'm done replaying chapter 1. I probably will try to continue Yakuza Kiwami and Psychonauts 2 but I also want to check out Hades/The Artful Escape on gamepass. Basically, I want to play all the games

Got past the part I was stuck at in Marvel's Avengers, so I'm gonna keep going through that. Also gonna keep slogging through the post-ARR slogfest in Final Fantasy XIV.

More daily Quake Champions.
Get through Scourge of Armagon (and maybe more) in the Quake Remaster
Resume Shadow Hearts, which I started last weekend.

Maybe get into Cruis'n Blast with the kiddo. He'll almost certainly want to play more Transformers: Devastation.

Also once again considering getting into Panzer Dragoon Remake.

How does this work? Do they have daily runs or some such?

There are quite a few games I’d love to play now but am instead waiting to play them on the PS5, when I eventually acquire one, including Ghost of Tsushima and Spider-Man Miles Morales. There are also several games I want to play through again but am waiting before I replay them for the same reason. One of those is God of War. The trailer for the next game, shown recently, has however boosted my excitement levels (It’s so nice to have some new Playstation titles to look forward to, even if they are a considerable distance away) to such an extent that I couldn’t resist replaying the first game again PS5 or not (not.)

What I’d forgotten was that Santa Monica Studio added New Game + sometime after I finished the title for the first time. I’d have been happy with a vanilla play through but it is nice to try out new skills and abilities as I progress through that world again. I’d also forgotten just how breathtaking many of the outdoor environments are, even on PS4, how young and physically tiny Atreus is, how gorgeous Christopher Judge’s voice is (he plays Kratos) and just how many deft little moments of humour there are. The writing, acting and animation are a such a delight and I feel like I can give them my full attention and appreciating the small character moments that foreshadow events that await the spartan God and his young son at the end of this leg of their mythical journey.

More Tomb of Annihilation!

Spoiler:

Just finished Psychonauts 2, so my Game Pass Tour will continue with Sable and probably more time in Humankind.

Oh and I bought Old World, purely for scientific comparison purposes.

Red Dead Redemption
Old World

Some Tyranny, some Monster Hunter Stories, some Puzzle & Dragons Z Super Mario Bros. Edition, some Monster Hunter World... That about sums it up.

Whole lotta Total Warhammer II (and I refuse to write out its actual, full name.)

I'm very close to the end for both Troubleshooters: Abandoned Children and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky. I'm going to try to get both finished, if not this weekend, then next week. But it's clearing the deck for whatever I play next.
