What are you playing this weekend?

Borderlands 3. Because you can never have enough guns. Or loot. But mainly guns.

Truly the most American game ever made. This, football, NASCAR...

Mutant Year Zero. I've started playing and realised that "slow and steady" is the way to do it, not just "steam in there and shoot everything!". Looks great, sounds great, feels great. Loving it so far.

I am Madam De Sardet. Legate of the Congregation of Merchants. Do I have your attention?

Zombie Vikings and, if I have time, Spider-Man.

Playing Slay the Spire while camping at a music festival.

I've been waiting for this for months. Here's a dorky photo because I'm all about Star Wars Pinball and nothing else this week! It's so bloody good, and there's SO much to dig into.

If anyone is playing, shoot me a PM! I'd love to be Switch buddies and compare scores!

Still trying to stick a fork in Control. Rumors of its brevity were largely exaggerated. Plus I lack the ability to ignore side quests. No matter how hard I try I just can’t do it.

I got it and am working on it too. Finally have a smidge of free time. I'm enjoying it, although I've been stuck for an hour or two trying to figure out how to get to the next place. Also continuing to work on Fire Emblem. Will be hard not to buy Link's Awakening too. Too many games.

A little game called Dungeons and Dragons...mmmmaybe you've heard of it? I'll hopefully be starting my second (!) weekly and third (!!) in total games of D&D with a small group of complete newbs, as part one of my ultimate goal of creating a "womens and non-binary" tabletop gaming group in my local area. No pressure!

I'll also be playing more Borderlands 3 and dabbling with side stuff in Control (finished the main story already). AND i'll probably start a fresh run through Arkham Asylum since the trilogy was a freebie on EGS this week.

Link's Awakening... for the first time.

Spoiler:

I am Thief

I've barely picked up a controller this week due to work, so I'm hoping to finally get back to Astral Chain. And if I can convince some friends to come over, I'm really hoping to get Dinosaur Island on the table.

The remaked version for Switch looks so good. I feel like like Link's Awakening is a bit overlooked. Gameplay wise it sits somewhere between the first game and A Link To The Past, but it adds some interesting twists of it's own.

If they were to re-release every Zelda game made on Switch (ok every one except the CD-i) that would probably push me over the edge and cause me to get a Switch. As is I have been tempted a few times to get one. My main issue with getting one right now is that finding time to play the games. Like there are more games on Xbox One than I have time to play do I really need to toss another whole platform of game in the mix?

Just picked up Nantucket in its recent sale. It's enjoyable so far, but I'm not sure if it's going to sustain multiple playthroughs.

I'm also going to try to finish Rebel Galaxy Outlaw - I've finished optimizing my ship and I have all the money so I just want to run all the plot missions and move on.

Picking up my pre-order Friday for Link's Awakening.

So jelly of all you people picking up Links Awakening. I decided to go with Puzzle Quest and Untitled Goose Game, which is enough game purchasing for me. The $80 price tag on Links Awakening is turning me off a bit...

So anyway, this weekend for me will be Puzzle Quest, Untitled Goose Game, Celeste and some more Path of Exile.

This weekend, for Space Game Junkie, it's gonna be Crying Suns and more Freespace 2 mods.

For me? No idea. Maybe more Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville.

The mention of Puzzle Quest sent me down a rabbit hole looking for IOS versions, discovering that there was a sequel and that the developers website seems to be dead. I'd forgotten how much I played that. Wonder if the old DS still works..

If the DS doesn't work I'm going to spend the weekend ploughing through the Witcher 3. I bounced off it last year but I think it will stick this time around.

Again, this weekend should include lots of Monster Hunter World Iceborne. And maybe some Grandia III as well.

Control should be in my mailbox sometime today, and I want to spend some time with Gears 5 in both campaign and multiplayer.

I'll also probably noodle around with Slay the Spire (I just played a round last night using a different character for the first time, and had not realized that basically all the cards were different??), Creature in the Well, and, having just downloaded it from GamePass, maybe Bloodstained too.

Picked up Eastshade on sale this week and am really digging it so far. Turns out there's a lot more non-violent questing than I imagined. Guess I thought it'd be more of a walking-sim where I just paint landscapes, but there's collecting/crafting and lots story beats, world lore and such. Absolutely gorgeous sandbox map as well that reminds me of a MYST/Skyrim hybrid. Super-chill experience.

Continuing my 90s cRPG journey in Queen's Wish. Man, for such a primitive looking title, it sure has a lot of personality. Loving the wry style of writing so far.

Guess it's a 90s-themed weekend as I'm still touring Ion Fury. I wish this game didn't have baggage attached to it, 'cause of and by itself I could legit see this thing in contention for my personal GOTY. It simply fires on all cylinders and checks all the boxes (gameplay, soundtrack, level design, nostalgia, etc.).

Final Fantasy XV. Also, Untitled Goose Game is out today and I may be unable to resist picking it up.

I'm staring down the end portions of Axiom Verge and Hollow Knight, but will likely spend some time hunting beasties in MHW: Iceborne and ignoring the main storyline in favor of smashing peeps in Triple Triad from Final Fantasy VIII HD. Oh, and maybe some God of War, norse mythology edition.

There will be some commuting as well, so Persona 4 Golden will get love, as well.

Continuing on my NG+ playthrough of Fire Emblem: Three Houses as the Golden Deer. And since Untitled Goose Game just dropped and is on sale, it's time to honk onto that bandwagon.

I'm making good progress on Stardew Valley and started in on Puzzle Quest. Hopefully will start Terraria as well.. All on the Switch.

Feel like taking a nap game personally with the weather all rainy. But if I can i will play either Yakuza 6 or Goose Game.

Hoping to get some table time with Monster Slaughter with my kids Saturday morning, then more time with Prey and Metal Gear Solid V on PC while I ponder picking up Control

I've been playing Spider-Man this week, and let me tell you --it is unbelievably awesome. I will therefore continue playing this weekend .

I accidentally* bought Untitled Goose Game, so that's probably jumping in front of my finishing Astral Chain this weekend.
