What are you playing this weekend?

I am playing Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark. It is literally Final Fantasy Tactics. Came out last month on ps4 and also on steam.

Haven't posted in this for a while. I'll be playing more of:

And hopefully "playing" more of this to wrap up a few loose ends:

And, of course:

Hopefully wrapping up chapter 3 of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel. After that, who knows?

I'm broadening my gaming horizons with some flight sims. Got a $80 flight stick from an opshop for $10 so why not?

It is...Not going well. I can't even takeoff yet!

It's all really interesting though. Vastly different from the Ace Combat games I'm used to. I'm enjoying learning a little bit more about real-world flight physics.

And when that all gets a bit much, I'm delving back into Infinity War Pinball!

Chasing global top-50 at the moment, and I'm getting so close! Loving the attention to detail with this one

The plan for this weekend is making some progress in Curse of Monkey Island and Wolfenstein: The New Order. I mostly failed in this last weekend.

If you're playing IL-2 Sturmovik, be sure it's the Forgotten Battles version, which was a significant improvement over the original release. If I understand it correctly, IL-2...: 1946 contains all of the previous updates and official mods, so that should have you covered as well.

Some friends and I had a ton of fun years ago playing with the mission creator and intercepting dozens of bombers. I keep thinking about returning to IL-2, but never seem to do it.

I distinctly remember one mission where I took off, climbed to altitude and progressed to intercept some fighters. Between starting the mission and seeing the fighters, about 15 minutes passed. Once they appeared, I lined up to play chicken with the first fighters and....suddenly there was a glass breaking sound. In the same instant I saw a hole appear in the canopy directly in front of me, right before everything went completely black. About 5 minutes later I apparently impacted on the ground.

Unfortunately (?) it's 1942 [steam]. Humble Bundle had it for 2 bucks, and there was some talk on the Discord server about it so I dived in. I'm going to dabble a bit more before diving into some of the mod packs which seem to be highly recommended.

Trying to keep this weekend's scope a little narrower.

LoH: Trails of Cold Steel
P4G
The Messenger
The Cave

I just bought Moonlighter and WonderBoy: The Dragon's Trap on the PS store sale, and will be checking out both games in addition to continuing with Assassin's Creed: Syndicate.

Privateer Gemini Gold

The best remake of the privateer series.

I'll go through some of the rest of the space sims like X series and Starpoint series.

Then some Stellaris.

I am playing "Pillars of Eternity: Deadfire preparations". Aka. reading up on build concepts. I could have completed small games in the time I have spent so far.

Hopefully I actually get to play some Deadfire too.

Season 17 of Diablo 3 starts tomorrow... Free Legacy of Nightmares set bonus for season characters.

I've gotten caught up into Skyrim again...this time on the Switch, so that's likely what I'll be playing, though I hope to do a bit more with Minecraft on Switch too.

I was expecting to play Jet Force Gemini this weekend, but after a brief session last night, I think I'll leave it at that. It's fairly fun, but it really hasn't aged well. Controls are just awful. The N64's lack of twin analog sticks really hurt it. For reference, I'm the sort of person who thinks GoldenEye and Perfect Dark still hold up fairly well and their controls are perfectly adequate.

However, I'll hopefully sink some time into Zelda: Wind Waker, which has aged really well. Still such a fun, joyful game that's so full of character. Also hopefully put some time into Axiom Verge and Pathway too, time permitting.

I loved this game. I always say that the XIII trilogy improved its gameplay with each game, but the story got worse each time.

But GOD. DAMN. XIII-3 has some of the most unique RPG mechanics I've ever seen. It's honestly one of my favourites, up there with Chrono Trigger and Persona 4. I'm willing to overlook the dress-up Lightning, the change of her character, all of that, because the gameplay was so intriguing. I mean, how many other games can you force an entire species to extinction from grinding too far?

Love it. Hope you love it too!

I just bought Steamworld Heist in the Switch sale and so far it feels really nice. This might consume a lot of time over the weekend.

I'm in love with Dungeon Warfare on Android. It is the perfect mobile game for me. No ads. No Internet required.

How good is it?! I'm still bashing away at DW2 whenever I get 5 minutes free.

I decided to turn on my N64 for the first time in probably 13 years last weekend and give GoldenEye another go. I have no nostalgia for it as my total playtime is about an hour.

After about 2 minutes I was sure that getting used to the visuals and especially the controls was going to take a long time. Then I changed the aspect ration to 16:9, and.....the N64 reset. And reset. And reset. And reset. And reset. ....and no signal.

Power light is on, no signal passes through. Tried two different cables and three different games. Poop.
So I bought and downloaded Curse of Monkey Island from gog.com instead.

Not fully unpacked yet but I think I'm getting settled enough that I can spare some time to knock out the 7th palace in Persona 5 this weekend.

'Lil bit of everything this weekend.

I may take another stab at the late-game mission in The Division 2 that me and 2 randos failed to complete over a painful session last weekend.

I'm playing with Surviving Mars via Game Pass and enjoying it, will continue expanding my colony.

I'll also dig more into Elder Scrolls Online's Morrowind content, as I re-acclimate myself to that game since a year or so ago.

Since I cleared out some smaller games, I want to get back to Divintiy: Original Sin 2. However, I also feel like playing Civilization 6, especially after grabbing some DLC recently. So it'll probably be some combination of those two.

More Assassin's Creed: Odyssey for me. Currently level 39, still haven't touched any of the DLC even though I got the season pass. There's just SO MUCH to do in this game!

It is super good. I´ve been three star most levels and feel like there isnt any more map for more levels to pop up. I've started on this game due to your suggestion.

PS VR VR VR VR

Plan is to continue playing Eve Valkyrie, little bit of Beat Saber, on flat screen will continue with Trials Rising and Horizon Chase Turbo, and on PC if time allows My Time in Portia and Race Room for practice.

My N64 keeps resetting itself too, and I've been debating whether it's worth have it fixed, or just to put it up on eBay for parts. I'm inching towards the latter.

Otherwise, this weekend will be spent playing Apartment Hunting in Ottawa Simulator 2019 (IRL). I am not looking forward to it. I might squeeze in a few minutes of Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel (Vita) here an there.

Started this a couple of nights ago and am looking forward to spending more time with it. I love crunchy combat in my JRPGs and this looks like it will fill the bill nicely, once I wrap my head around it.

Sorry to hear you're both having N64 troubles! I have no idea how mine is still going strong - it hasn't been looked after particularly well. I do regret selling almost all of my games though.

I hear this one can be a bit of a grind, but it's worth it for the post-game. Best of luck!

I finished my 3025 Extended career in Battletech last week. After a while of not getting any traction in anything, I'm now about an hour into

IMAGE(https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steam/apps/264710/header.jpg)

and expect to stick with it for a while.
