Mine is here today, too. Looking forward to it.

I think it's the game of the year edition.

Getting mine on the way home. I can't wait.

Yep, sure is (see silly purchase thread).

I am so bummed out right now, I got the collector's edition for the costumes (not the issue). I started the game, it has a nice little tutorial at the start, then once I got to my pod I quit out to redeem my costumes/avatars. When I returned, to get a solid afternoon of gameplay in, the moon was in the middle of my pod and I couldn't access my pod's computer and thus couldn't play the game :(. If anyone has this issue and figures out a solution please let me know asap...

Picked up my copy during lunch and have put just enough time to clear the being stages. Having a good time with it so far. The grappling hook is a lot of fun, but takes a little used to.

If anyone is interested in playing some coop, be sure to hit me up: PSN ID LupusUmbrus.

I am less impressed with this CE than I was with the New Vegas CE. Where as the items in the New Vegas CE looked and felt like quality (sturdy poker chips, nice deck of cards), these look and feel cheap and crummy. The book ends are obviously paper glued on top of flimsy cardboard, and the plushie not only feels cheap, but the proportions are off. Oh well, the in-game content is more interesting, assuming it actually works and doesn't break the game like it did for Eldon.

I'll add you Lupus, but I'm not sure if I'll be up for co-op tonight. Rumor has it there will be a GWJ Assassin's Creed Brotherhood game going on.

I'll be down for some co-op this weekend (mixed into the DC Online cocaine festival).

Sigh. I cheaped out and got "free shipping" from Amazon, so it'll be a few days before I see my copy.

Played the first couple levels with a buddy and they are awesome. I am predicting dozens of hours of fun from this game.

I just finished up the first world (and got a trophy for playing before 9AM). It's more Media Molecule levels, but that's cool with me. The grappling hook is kinda frustrating, but the music is so good and the game is so cute I don't seem to mind it in LBP.

Pretty much my thoughts, too, after playing through the first world. Everything they've added makes the game feel far more dynamic and engaging. You wouldn't think the expanded freedom for camera angles or ability to add in cutscenes would make a big difference but they really do. Music is fantastic as always.

If the platforming bothered you in the first game, though, it'll still bother you here. Same floaty jumping which can be frustrating in a poorly-designed level. The grappling hook is fun but really hard to control. They need to adjust the tolerance so only straight up and down adjust the length; I found myself always reeling in or out whenever I was trying to swing back and forth.

Still, the MediaMolecule levels are looking to be nothing short of awesome again. Hopefully I'll dive into the community stuff soon, too, and see what people have been up to. The toolset looks really amazing this time around.

Yeah, I found myself reeling in when I wanted to go side to side as well. I gave up on a few items because of it, most notably where 2 grapple wheels were swinging back and forth over an electrified pit and the items were way above so you had to fling yourself up there by swinging / reeling in and releasing just right.

I'd be upfor co-op so I'll add people I see here. My id is Mrtomaytohead

Thanks to GameFly, I'll be getting a shot at this in a couple of days, though much of my time with it may be spent playing local co-op with my daughter. I'll definitely be interested in playing some online co-op at some point, though, and anybody else that's interested can add me through PSN (ID: OzymandiasAV).

Go back to that level and jump past that point, you go up wards almost immediately and you will find if you head back in the direction of the pit you will find another grapple point you can you launch off of towards the pit where you will than be able to successful carry your momentum onto the one of the two moving grapple points and get yourself high enough to grab those circles.

The one I am having issue with is in a level you can go back to a second time and initiate a time trial using the picture art. 3 bubbles with wings get released just ahead of you, and I just can't seem to go through the level fast enough to grab the third! aRG!

So, I bought a Move and Navigation Controller today, so I might try out those levels tonight. Does anyone know if they're totally separate levels, or if the Move controllers work with the regular ones?

I am going to add a bunch of you as friends. My screen name is df7GWJ, it is pretty obvious who I am.

Why isn't this thread more popular? This game is awesome!

If you have a couple to play with locally, or fun goodjers, you all NEED to play the community level by Halocomander1 called LITTLEBig Basketball. It is the most hilarious thing I have ever played. We just spent an hour doing it over and over and over

EDIT: Link to that level on the internets: http://lbp.me/v/wpteph. How neat is that?

I might have to pick this up. I played the first one through (except for that stupid circling thing in the last level) and liked it alot. Might wait a bit for it to go down in price first.

Added everyone who has a PSN name listed in their post or signature above.

Also, while this game is pretty fun, I think the momentum that everything carries, especially the rotating grapple point things, is probably going to keep me from loving this game. I figured they would have made everything a little bit more weighty and speedy from the original, but my limited memory makes it seem like they haven't.

Co-op for sure.

Just an update on the Move controls: I couldn't get them working last night, so I'm not sure if they only apply to certain levels that unlock later. I suppose I could Google it, but that'd be too obvious.

I only had room in my budget for one game this month. I went with Dead Space 2. This is next up when I can justify it.

I don't have the game yet because I'm broke. I'm hoping to get it sometime before the end of the month, because this has been my most anticipated game since the first trailer came out. I don't know why I keep reading this thread. Hearing about everyone having fun with the game is torture.

Wife said it was delivered this morning. Friend requests will be forthcoming. PSN: NyxsOptare (It's not in the sig cause PSN sucks)

I got the requests. Guess I'll actually boot this up and see if I can join a group, I've played enough God of War 3 for one day (ha, as if that's possible).

I'm down for co-op when I get back to the states.

PSN: Plavonica
I think thats it anyways. Hard to be sure from here.

Anyone try to create anything yet? Is it less time consuming or is that part still a pita? Took me something like 3+ hours of drunken fooling around to create my one (crappy) level and if that is any indicator of the time involvement in some of these level these people are crazy!

I'll still play their levels. Still crazy though

Still has limited # of lives feature, so unfortunately that sauce is not for me.

My son definitely likes it though.

[edited to avoid being "that guy" who goes into a thread where everyone is happy and pisses all over what they are happy about.]

This is quite likely the case, I do expect items I pay a premium for to be premium items. That said, the bookends are functioning nicely, and the in-game costumes all downloaded and work just fine, so I'm pretty much pleased.

The plushie isn't all that bad either, it's just I was hoping for better after the New Vegas CE.

Got my copy from Amazon today; played through the first few "tutorial" levels. Still the same old LBP, so I cannot complain. Loved the first game.

I just got the game yesterday and was up most of the night playing it. Most of that consisted of going through the tutorials in the Create mode. There's a lot of stuff to play with. It's ridiculous just how much control you have over every little element, now. I can't wait to really dig into this thing and try to create some crazy stuff.

I really love being able to change the gravity for the level in Create mode. I find setting it at 120-130% seems to make the jumping feel a lot less floaty while still allowing decent-sized jumps.

For those who run into the same trouble I had this morning:

There are some user-made levels designed solely to provide you with lots of costumes made by other users (by which I mean, they break copyright). Getting them into your campaign mode is a bit of a chore. 1) play through the user's level, grabbing all those globes. 2) go to your Moon and create a new level. 3) in your new level, open your goodies bag and scroll all the way to the right, and choose one of those new costumes. 4) while that costume is floating in your lasso-thing, click Square and click on the Costume tab (which is to the left of the goodies bag, iirc). 5. click on "save costume." 6. repeat 3, 4, 5 for all the new costumes you want in your campaign. 7. save the level, exit all the way back out to your pod. 8. open up your menu with Square, and the user-made stuff will be listed in the first tab, under 'costumes.'

It's a hassle, but now I can play through the campaign as Batman.
