I honestly thought I was looking at pictures of the same guy for a few seconds.

Cross-posting from the Hidden Gems thread...

Beavis and Butt-head: The Mike Judge Collection is now on Netflix streaming.

Without the videos it isn't the same. Heh heh, fire. heh heh fire.

On a different note Panthro's entrance was awesome. The plant story was touching.

Since this thread has popped up again I'd like to say that the 2nd season of Superjail is definitely inferior to the 1st. The art seems less sharp and it just does not feel the same at all.

Anyone watching GI JOE Renegades? I like the artwork and it is pretty cool how they are showing how named cobra guys were created.

I'm behind on the episodes but think it is ok for the most part. I'm not sure if I'll keep going with it. Snake Eyes is the only character I really like.

Of the new toons out Thundercats is the best so far followed by Young Justice. Of the old toons Star Wars the Clone Wars is the best.

I'm catching up on a heap of older stuff I missed like Frisky Dingo, Lucy the Daughter of the Devil, Home Movies and next up is Dr Katz.

Lucy the Daughter of the Devil

<------ I approve.

I'm on a real H Jon Benjamin kick at the moment so I tracked down all the things he's in that I missed.

I'll see your Brave and the Bold clip with lady heroes singing, and raise you one of the most inside-baseball Bat-Mite moments from the show:

So pretty much every single cartoon made in the last few years, then?

Pretty much.

Just caught a few episodes on Netflix Intsant and I'm enjoying it and Transformers Prime. Is GI Joe only the 1 season?

From wiki :

On January 26, 2012 when asked about a second season, Henry Gilroy said, "Actually, you're probably not going to.

My problem with Renegades is that it came out after that short movie that Warren Ellis wrote called GI Joe Resolute. As passable as Renegades actually is, especially relative to some of the other terrible interpretations of the franchise we've seen over the years, it still just isn't as good. That Resolute didn't get turned into something more still disappoints me.

Since Star Wars is on hiatus I started watching the new Green Lantern show and especially Young Justice. The GL show is ok but man, Young Justice is really good. Great animation and the storylines are great as well. I recommend it to everyone!

Anyone watching Young Justice? They did a really weird thing this latest episode. Pulled a Battlestar Galactica and skipped 5 years ahead. Whole bunch of new characters, whole bunch of missing characters. It was really bizarre. I can't tell what they're doing.

Check one post up

Yeah I noticed that also. Obviously, it is based on those missing hours during the finale where they were brainwashed. Still looking good though!

I'm not sure I like it. I was just getting comfortable with the old team and I can't tell if this is a temporary thing or a new direction for the show. It almost feels like they wanted to add more members to boost toy sales or some such.

Creating this much confusion without any explanation might hurt the viewership.

I had the same thoughts, although obviously you gotta give it a few episodes. Sure seemed like a lot of loose ends to suddenly jump ahead 5 years.

My theory is that this will pass. It's the usual flash-forward shtick, showing where some of the members are, we'll get hints regarding how X and Y broke up, some people will have been or will be killed, Earth will be devastated by an alien invasion or somesuch due to the events in the past, and then someone will go back in time to prevent it all from happening, leading back to the previous status quo but with some knowledge of what's coming up.

Clone Wars has the oddest schedule. I don't know how anyone could keep up with it without a DVR or something. Or are we at the point where everyone has a DVR.

On a different note The Legend of Korra has moved up on my list of best toons currently airing. I recommend you watch the last airbender first if you haven't seen it though.

By the way, while I'm talking about cartoons, you know what's really great? The Avengers Cartoon on (I think) the Disney Channel. It's amazing if you're in your early 30's and grew up with the Avengers. There are a lot of little easter eggs in the show that call back to all kinds of old storylines. And the show itself is just fun as hell. The Wasp is hilarious. It's not up to Timm standards, but it's still pretty awesome.

Yes!

They were showing the 1986 Transformers movie today on the hub. I did not remember what awesome music was in that movie!

Young Justice threw a nice curveball in there this weekend!

Well he couldn't have been Aquaman's kid because he is cool.

It has its own thread, but I am seriously digging THE LEGEND OF KORRA right now.
